Even before Kurenai was introduced as a fighter in that game, they gave PTS Sakura the same Ultimate jutsu as Kurenai. But when Kurenai was introduced, they decided to keep both of their ultimates the same, but they changed the seasons of the trees +the bgm for both ultimates, which still gave them a fresh and unique feel that was tailored to both kunoichi.
at least got an ultimate with his bae, for me is a win. in the anime she barelly interacted with anyone on his team anyway, interacted more with shikamaru

Kurenai was one the best playable characters in the ultimate ninja series, finally she is in the storm collection, and she is perfect with beautiful and smooth combos
She could have had interactions with Hidan, Kakazu, Itachi, her fellow leaf Jonin, etc… FFS she doesn’t even have one against Shikamaru. The only people she interacts with is students and Asuma.
Her moveset is really pretty! I personally don't really like paper bombs, unless the character has shown a technique with them, like Konan and Tobirama, but her moveset and jutsu are visually really nice

Ino’s genjutsu In Ultimate Ninja 5 Ino’s Mind Transfer in the storm games and Shinobi striker have her make the enemies explored with a paper bomb. Like, when did Ino’s character become Michael Bay????

It's still possible that this game will have similar longevity to Shinobi Striker and Xenoverse 2 where DLC characters will keep getting added. We might see Shizune, Anko, Seven Ninja Swordsman, Sound Ninja 3, Boruto's classmates and who knows who else if the team decides to create future DLC and season packs
Imagine if shizune is added, her awaken would be using chakra sword and also heals herself just like in old games. In ultimate 5, she is very versatile with attacking ultimate and at lower health she have mode that heals herself
She have more flowers in her kit than Ino lol... both of her jutsu's feel very slow and defensive, wish there was something more impressive than the tree genjutsu used against Itachi, her taijutsu is cool tho. I hope Anko and Shizune are also delivered from support only hell.

Maybe this is a strange thing to focus on, but her moveset looks very "modern" compared to the other Konoha Jonin - she has all these crazy particle effects and animations, so any Storm 1 or Storm 2 character placed next to her looks comically basic in comparison. She has more fancy genjutsu moves than Itachi, which is kinda cool... but also just weird.

Is it just me or although theybsay her red eyes are just her family genes, there is too much of a coincidence that her eyes are basically no tomoe sharing looking and she is one of the best genjutsu users. I think her family at least are descendants of the Uchiha that broke off
