Thank you, Dima, for a wonderful tour of this place! The mosaics are absolutely stunning! It is such a pity that they are making it so hard for tourists to visit Israel now. However, thanks to people like you, we can at least enjoy some virtual tours.
The Samaritans still exist. They were almost extinct by the beginning of the 20th century, when their population was down to about a hundred people. The foundation of Israel gave them more security, and now they are up to almost a thousand.
It was great seeing all those mosaics and the beautiful views. I kept saying Lord don’t let him slip on those rocks at the edge. Lol thanks for walking up those mountains and showing things I didn’t know about
Love your drone flyovers! The museum is a great place and it looks improved from the last time my wife and I visited a number of years ago. A great collection of mosaic floors! And iirc, we missed those caves around 8:34 and we didn't hav time to check out the ruins on the other side of the road (also too hot!!)... we won't miss them next time!! Another interesting location is the Tomb of Moses (southeast... just off the highway to Jericho), and the just southwest of that a sad little Sheiks tomb, vandalized of course but interesting nonetheless..!
Fantastické mozaiky. Napadla ma takáto myšlienka. Vybrať niektoré mozaiky, urobiť kópiu a dať to do školy študentom, kde sa učia reštaurovanie ako predlohu a nech to dokončia celé. To by bola paráda. Som prekvapená, že na takto v púšti bola kedysi civilizácia. Zrejme to ešte nie je archeologicky prebádané. Tam kde je ten bager mám taký pocit, že idú niečo sadiť. Zakladajú nejaký ovocný sad asi olivy.

Bedankt voor deze mooie beelden. Mozaïeken kunnen gezien worden als kunstuiting, maar er is een heel belangrijk stuk informatie te vinden op 41 min 17 sec. De 8 puntige stervorm met een ronde kern is het symbool van de negende planeet in ons zonnestelsel. Een andere versie zien wij op 45 min 56 sec. Helaas is het contrast wat laag. Deze 9de planeet is wereldwijd onder veel verschillende namen bekend omdat hij met intervallen van enkele duizenden jaren in de buurt van onze aarde komt.
