Ask Mark-1 Plumbing of Galveston, Texas. One of their work trucks was traded in to AutoNation, who told them to not take off the wrap. Next thing they knew there was a photograph the truck, with the company name and phone number, in Syria with the newly installed anti-aircraft gun being fired by Jihadis at Syrian Government forces. It was, simply put, a mess.
Turns out that there are a variety of European and Turkish bidders at auto-auctions that take used trucks and resell them on Africa and the middle east in bulk. Toyota doesn't necessarily have to be involved. Any truck that is regularly auctioned in such numbers that minimum bids sometimes win will end up in these places.
And that plumber sued literally everyone.
There was also the Ford Transit van back in the 1970's, it was used as the getaway vehicle in the majority of armed robberies due to its practicality.
Except Toyota wasn't lying...
I mean I'd probably raise an eyebrow if they were selling vehicles called the Toyota IED, Toyota Insurgent and Toyota Technical.

@DeSPoTNemanjaS depending on the nation and the people giving the orders any invading navy can be seen as nothing more than state sponsored pirates. When you expand beyond your own shores navel orders can be seen as piracy by the group being attacked.

As a private pilot, I love my Drake Cutlass. mostly because it cost pennies to enjoy compared to the wet hourly rate on a Cessna 172.

No matter what universe you are in, there's going to be some megacorp looking to make a quick back by selling weapons to warring factions and/or crime syndicates. And if they get caught, the megacorps will say, "Screw you all to hell, I've got money and the best lawyers money can buy!"
Anyway, I hope you'll get around to do videos on other companies in the perpetually in-development Star Citizen.
Well, I feel like you missed af central point in regards to Drakes design ideology. They might be reliable, cheap and easy to maintain, but they don't have any modden systems or safety features like ejection seats and emergency pods.
They are generally just flying tincans with bits bolded on, and I love them ;)

All these little micro-details about _Star Citizen_ such as there being major distinctions between various starship corporations convey carefully crafted lore building.
Regardless of the more iffy macro-scaled aspects of this still-in-kind-of-development game. There are plenty of gems.
I don't play star citizen myself but I have a friend who never shuts up about how good their ships are

Buy yourself either a 300i or avenger and don't drop another penny. The game is enjoyable as is now, its just not stable enough to spend any more.

Good old Star Citzen: were the overall world building is crap but the little details are really interesting. Some of these companies have styles and history rivaling the Borderland companies
I think Star Citizen leans too heavily on its 'fall of the Roman Empire' parallels. Like the Vanduul... A little too much on the nose for the Vandals.
I feel like anything that Chirst doesn't have his hands on is good. Like the general setting he outline is just copied Roman history. The smaller stuff he doesn't care about is kinda interesting
It's funny these companies seem like more time was devoted to the various companies than the nation they reside in. Looking forward to more. 🖖

The most unbelievable thing about this is that the other companies actually obey the law and don't supply pirates, crimminals and unofficial paramilitary groups.

Its alliegence is not to the empire but to the people its customers.
The fighters work as intended, and you get what you pay for.
A work horse easy to fix use and it seems the company might not be too concerned who it goes to so long as its legally bought. ehh. I'm usually for higher grade ships.

Anyone catch the Cutlass reference to the Wing Commander Vampire? Compare the image of the Cutlass of 1:59 with the Wing Commander V Vampire.

Drake has one of the most carefully planned ship lineups. There great synergy between the ships towards piratical ends. I enjoy the advertised role of the ships versus the actual role.

So the Cutlass is the Star Citizen equivalent of Star Wars' Z-95 Headhunter: above average in everything, cheap, used by basically everyone, and popular with pirates.

Love me my Cutlass. It is just a freaking workhorse, that'll do you a little bit of everything. I just love Drake, they remind me of Jakobs from the Borderlands series.

Still question the clear transparent cockpits. The Expanse shows you can still make cool ship designs that's not limited by the Mark I eyeballs.

We associate MISC as the main rivals of Drake, but in most ways, Crusader seem to be the true mirror and Rival.
Crusader industries is famed for its altruism and charity, It focuses on secure data and cargo moving, and it has military contracts that Drake dreams it could have too.
While Drake ships dabble only lightly in law, with the blue and red, Crusader dabbles in the opposite with the Star Runners smuggling compartments.

i love this corp and yeah star citizen worldbuilding in regard in ships is really good
star citizen lore is wierd, the wordbuilding sucks but then corporations are very well written, the army logo for the usee looks very bad but then a random hotdogg shop has a wonderfully made logo
simple, do to open development it can be hard to rewrite older parts of the story. While undeserved (they had to build a whole company while making two games, one of which is a MMO), reputation for taking too long in development, a massive rewrite and all the knock on effects that would have is not worth it to fix the relatively minor problems with SC lore. More over a lot "problem" Templin pointed out where not problems at all but the their own biases about how the world works.
