My wool arrived last week, the first skien of hand dyed wool I’ve ever purchased. I’ve spent the last 18 months fighting breast cancer and my last mammogram showed I’m clear hooray. I was supported by Macmillan nurses but it could have been Marie Curie ( think it depends on where you are treated)what a wonderful support they are, always there for a problem and reassurance. What beautiful packaging as well, I lost my sense of taste and smell which is only just beginning to return, the smell of lavender when I opened the parcel was delightful, thank you. I’m going to make a summery shawl.
Always enjoy your vloggy pods, Sherry 😊 And yes, it’s all so strange, isn’t it? We’re coming out of the really tight Covid restrictions here in British Columbia very carefully, for which I’m grateful, but I almost feel reluctant to go out with all the very necessary changes (we have to wear masks to any medical or eye appointments). However, those changes will help keep people safe. As for what I’m focusing on...reading A Fortnight in September (a book I think you would really enjoy) with Monty Don’s Nigel book lined up next, and crocheting pretty granny squares in beautiful summer annual flower colours - in between schooling three kids from home and keeping the fourth (a preschooler busy), managing the house, and preparing endless meals! 😄
Lovely to see you as always. Patreon would be great for more of your wonderful embroidery tutorials. What a fabulous bundle of fabrics you received, I look forward to seeing what they become x
A lovely vlog/podcast. Your dyed wool colours are stunning. Loved the little bird house - so delicate. Your linen gift was huge and will be well loved by you, so much sewing to be enjoyed. Thank you xx
Aw it sounds like monty has CCD bless him it’s very common in senior dogs . This is my first time watching your podcasts! TH-cam suggested you but I’ve heard of you before through Gaynas podcast X
Wonderful to catch up with you again Sherry! The birdhouse embroidery design is so sweet and I love seeing your little Wagtail visitor in the garden 😊. I'm finding it hard to settle on projects at the moment too although I did manage to finish my wood warbler socks with the beautiful March Life of Birds Sock Club. Hope you and your family are having a happy Bank Holiday and get to go on a lovely long nature-filled walk soon! Take care xxx
Lovely vlog! I used to cross stitch a lot on linen & loved it. We used to have a chocolate lab, they are such sweet dogs. My husband surprised me with your April sock club. I absolutely love it!
so good to see you! really like your new birdhouse stitching. and always good to see Archie, so much personality in those eyes. thank you for a lovely 1/2 hour.
Im feeling the same as you. To keep focus, I’m knitting a free your fade shawl which is the smaller one to Find your fade. I’m almost on the third colour. It’s the first time I’ve knit a shawl. I’ve put the library app on my phone, Libby, and I’m listening to Harry Potter audio book. It’s read by Stephen Fry. I’m gardening, well mainly watering now and enjoying podcasts. I’m going to make a snuggle down cowl next from lovely Jooles as I’ve received some floof in the post. Love your channel. Thank you!
Love your vloggy pod Sherry. It's always so wonderful to watch you and see all your beautiful yarn, embroidery and eats. Loved the look of your pizza, are you able to share your recipe of it and the mushroom stroganoff. They looked superb. That linen you received was amazing and fabulous. Have lots of it myself in my glory box. I was going through it recently and thinking oh my goodness when am I going to use these. All sorts, Belfast linen, Dublin linen, #28 Brittany, Cork linen., Cashel linen. I had a few birthdays I wanted to give gifts to in this month of May, made linen sachets, filled with dried lavender that I have a large bag of from my garden and crocheted a round motif to add on top of the sachet. It actually used up a good quantity of linen which was pleasing. Love Archie and Monty, wouldn't be your vlog without seeing them and also loved the bee hotel. In fact Sherry loved everything. Take care, hugs.
Good morning! It's always good to see you again. And, Monty and Archie, too! I'm a little jealous of that wonderful load of fabric you got from a friend....it's fabulous! Your pizzas always look so good; I may have to make some soon. Take care. Patty
Love your yarn and everything you make. If I lived in the UK I would definitely be a regular customer. Enjoy your vlogs, so much inspiration in this very weird environment. Take care, 🇨🇦
What a generous gift of the fabrics. I am green with envy. It is so much of a struggle to find good linen for cross stitch. Is there anywhere in the UK you would suggest I try please? Like with embroidery cross stitch is so relaxing. I am working my way through your videos as I stitch away.
Recently discovered your vloggypod (yesI know I’ve been living under a rock!) and found you via Sherrie from Olly and Bella! Your yarn looks so beautiful and I love you your embroidery! I feel in the last few years embroidery has gone” out of fashion” but I think your simple beautiful designs will get it to the fore again! I have subscribed so I look forward to a lot more lovely vlogs in the future!
So excited to try embroidery I have purchased the basics and will give it a go I would be interested to learn more from you if you open the patrion let me know please, I have downloaded the cowslip and hopefully I will have an embroidered Japanese knot bag!! Xx
