@@darbymcbride41 Prelude's suspension is much more heavy duty as compared to the civic v/integra, with higher weight, being more stable at higher speeds. With their weight they are harder to throw around and rotate, which isn't often preffered in an FF. With stock motors, if u manage to get some rotation it is harder to keep them in line getting on gas with not enough power to counter the weight. Additional strain on front tires also doesn't help. They are good chassis, but need a better than stock engine to get them actually moving, as they seem to be underpowered for how they are built. Integra stock was pretty fast out of the box, so it got much more recognition. Personal opinion
me and my dad are building a 1994 integra so i can get into racing and itll be setup for track, everythings getting replaced and were even turbo'ing it watching this got me even more excited for the first drive
Tesla's are heavy pigs, fast in a straight line but thats it.They cant corner cause they are too heavy, just like pretty much all other EVS.EVS are dogshit around the track sadly.
The old Hondas are still one of the fastest FWD platforms for the money to go fast, when setup right ofc. Like to try a rwd once but have to get one first 😅
Great Video and congrats on an outstanding time! I almost had a new Integra Type R in 2000, but it literally got stripped to the chassis on the dealer transporter truck. So my contract was voided. Took the hint from the Universe and waited a year for a WRX. I did have a ‘92 Integra LS with type R rate springs from H&R, polyurethane bushings, tokiko 5 way struts, that I did a few track days with- fun times!! Great to see a legend car circulating the Nordschleife!
I would love to take mine and drive on the ring!! Being a motor head here in the states, it's on my bucket list!! I have a really well prepped Dodge Neon srt 4.
What a sick lap. No 3 Liter engine, no optimal weight balance, no rwd car, no super expensive suspension thats been setup by professional racecar engineers, no pro racecar weld in cage weight still well over 1000kg, no uniball bushings or something and still so fast. Is there a build thread somewhere online about your dc2? I have so many questions
Stock dc2 did the lap in 1998 8:40, todays golf R is doing 8:22 the lap, Integra has that living in the cabin, u feel the speed and adrenaline, an homologation car build by Honda, engine build and polished by hand, frame was welded like rally cars, everything for minimum weight and maximum rigidity
Because of the helmet cam, it give the appearance of the car rolling quite a bit in corners 😅 The g- meter is cool to see! Lots of commitment! And lots of adhesion! Over a g in some high speed corners, 1.4 or 5 off the banking, wow!
Impresive lap man!!!! Nice and sick built, I like it. Try A052 and I think you will be faster!? With free track and A052 is possible to go 7:25. Or fuck on it and join RCN with us, it is super fun, it is easy to go there, but you need race licence of course....
Beautiful car brother. Congrats on all your success I know what it takes and I YET to spec out a race car. Thinking of turning the 96 prelude si into a daily/track inspired car. Wanna keep a/c, p/s, and abs and I can't do that in an ef k swap so ya. From 4th gen civic to 4th gen honda
a lot more than just pwr to weight.. center of gravity, full double wishbone, chassis rigidity, suspension setup aerodynamics, etc... of course a epic engine and gearbox combo helps too =)
I've come to appreciate power to weight ratio and hp/liter formulas a great deal since purchasing a 08 TSX. I have to get the handling with BILSTEINS, lateral bars and wider rims and sticky tires 1st.

Better than the bb prelude chassis?

i love the fact that you did a faster lap then the tesla plaid 😂
Tesla plaid doesn't in BTG.
Bridge to gantry is a lot shorter than a full lap.
