TIP: Make sure your cream is cold and chill your condensed milk overnight. Add a splash of vanila extract (the alcohol prevents it from freezing to hard) 💫
I made a version of this but a little different and churned it in my pint sized freezer bowl ice cream and it came out creamy as I ever had. So good!!!
Tried this tonight. I used 300ml whipping cream to 297g condensed milk. Needed around 30ml of vanilla extract but maybe I have no taste. Initial tasting before freezing - what we call Mr Whippy in UK :-). My big problem with this recipe ... it is so easy with a stand mixer that I run out of space in my freezer!! Thanks for posting. Incredible.
All of the gelato recipes I came across were custard based so I can't make those because it might end up troublesome. But then I saw this video, which absolutely saved me from all of that trouble. Grazie! 😄 I'm learning Italian and the cuisine for quarantine funsies, so I'm going to check your other videos in the morning :D definitely subscribing!
One of my favorite flavors of gelato from my time in Italy was lemon. Any idea on how I would go about making lemon gelato using your method? Zest? Extract? Juice?
You could try lemon syrup and meringue... it will be different from the original lemon flavor, but still delicious! If you want a more lemony and fresh flavor you could check my lemon sorbet recipe on the channel. I hope this helps!
My mom and my aunt fell in love with this recipe! I guess you gave me the idea on how to use that can of condensed milk I have stored some months ago :D Do you know if using vegetable whipping cream will give me the same result?
how i know the recipe is failproofed and definitely good??? when an italian mom strongly recommending it :D i've been trying to make easy homemade close-enough-gelato lately, with no ice cream machine/gelato machine, been looking lots of idea if i may ask question : for the cream, is it heavy cream or whipping cream?? and as im not fond of too sweet thing, what can i substitutes that less sweeter for condensed milk?? thank you
It's sizzling hot now here in the Philippines! My business-minded ass is itchin' to grow some money out of these. Should I try? looks really yummy! These were the same ingredients i used when making ice candies last summer. 🥰🥰🥰

I am not a gelato expert and this recipe is not the classic gelato one, so I am probably not the best person to ask for advice in this matter. What I can say is that for sure, if you want to make classic gelato you would need a gelato machine. I wish all the best to you and your business, buona fortuna!
Of course you can, just be sure you take it out from the feezer 10-15 minutes before serving otherwise I am afraid that the fruit could be too hard. It actually sounds delicious. :) I will give it a try, welcome!
Hi, thank you for your comment. I would avoid adding fruit flavour while making the mix. I never tried this, but I am pretty sure it would not work. You can definitely add it, as the other toppings I used, directly on the finished ice cream, thoug. I hope this helps!
my sister wanted that Baja Blast Gelato but ive only seen bad comments on ot like how its tiny and to pricey and not even that good so i wanted to make her a better one so my flavoring would be baja Blast soda i wanted to know how much should i put
No, it isn't. to make authentic gelato, you need a gelato machine and the procedure is a little different in matter of flavors. That's the reason why I wrote "it looks and tastes like classic gelato"... the texture and the flavor are very similar, but of course traditional gelato, requiring a more complex procedure, is different. If you don't have the machine and no time this is perfect though! I hope this helps :)
@@TheXIngredient just being Italian doesn't give you the power to change icecream to gelato. Milk eggs sugar and little cream makes Gelato, flavors are choice. Being an American doesn't mean I can call a Ford a Chevy just because they look alike.

Do you know if using vegetable whipping cream will give me the same result?
Absolutely the same! It is going to be also a little lighter. My mom always uses the vegetable one :) Bacetti!
What's vegetable whipping cream?
But dairy whipping cream gives more milky taste. Tastes better than vegetable cream.

The cream is whipping cream and if you prefer you could use unsweetened condensed milk then add powdered sugar to taste, I hope this helps!
i will try this weekend 😍
Thanks for sharing but a little rich without milk
Nice video
Thanks for the easiest recipe. Can I use vanilla ice cream powder instead of vanilla powder?
Of course! Thank you
I really enjoyed this video! Talenti has a flavor and it's called caramel cookie crunch...can you make that flavor?
Thank you so much! I can definitely try to make it, stay tuned!

Hi ! Would like to ask, how to prevent it becomes hard ?
If you take it off the freezer 15 minutes before serving it will be soft again :)
How long do you put it in the freezer for

Cream in Thailand is hard to come by and very expensive... can we use milk?
No, you can't, I am sorry. Milk can't be whipped and it will not work.
Can we save gelato in freezer for long time?
Of course! I would say 6 months :)

What cream? Heavy cream? Double cream? Cooking cream?
Fresh cream.
How many cup for 500ml? I'm afraid i don't have many cup to freeze it
About five 100 gr cups
BTW.. whats the music that you've used..?
please..
"Jazzeton" by Quincas Moreira. You can find it on TH-cam audio library!
💗
How long the freezing time?????
About 4-5 hours!
Maybe American sweetened condensed milk is different, but this came out way too sweet. Tasted nothing like the gelato I've had in Italy.
This is not Gelato
Gelato is not made with cream
It's eggs, milk, and sugar and whatever flavor u choose
an amongs the first things presented ... a machine.
You can whip the cream by hand.
Going to give this a try because theres no eggs and no special icecream makers and by the way people please be polite to X ingredient.
This is not gelato Gelato only has milk and sometimes a little bit of cream
Please watch the full video and read the description before teaching an Italian how gelato is made :)
You may be Italian and this is probably most certainly good ice cream, but it is certainly not Italian traditional gelato.
@@TheXIngredient You're scamming people. Fake gelato.

No gelato machine...

That looks delicious and easy to make, but it's not gelato. The fat content is way too high. You've basically made an ice cream instead.
That's true! In Italy we call "gelato" all the frozen creams though... for us this is still "gelato", but not the way foreigners usually mean it.
Oh, and thanks for the compliment! :)
"looks and tastes like classic gelato"; is it authentic Italian gelato?

When the texture of any homemade frozen dessert like this is smooth and without ice crystals, I consider the results to be a success.
2 ingredients, no machine, uses machine 💀
No gelato machine. You can whip the cream also by hand.. good luck with that! 😅
This is not Gelato this is whipped cream!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gelato with condensed milk is definitely not a gelato
Again, in Italy we call "gelato" every iced dessert.. gelato just means ice cream in Italian.
This is just ice cream
Again: in Italian we call all kind of iced cream gelato. What the world calls gelato is "gelato artigianale" here.
@@TheXIngredient gelato is generally exclusive to one type, so it could be a bit misleading.
Bzzzzt. You made icecream not gelato. Gelato is frozen custard
