We saw a lot of familiar faces in this episode, Robin in 66's Batman series, Alexander Knox in 89's Batman movie, characters from Titan, also Wil Wheaton himself.
Part 1 was a huge punch in the gut. And, we got some great guest spots...who sadly disappeared. Alexander Knox from the Batman movie (Tim Burton's), Titans, Earth X, and Dick Grayson from the 1966 Batman show. More surprises to come. Great emotional scene by everyone during Ollie's death...I wept. And to help you out...Johnathan Kent was sent to 2049 of an alternate future because his ship went through a wormhole. That's where the future Ollie is---on another Earth. I love watching you react---it's so awesome to see someone who truly appreciates these shows, and is deeply invested in these characters.
Your reaction at the end was just the same as how I was myself when the stuff with Oliver happened, dear Brittany, and you were brilliant, which is probably I love your videos so much. I was shaking my head and saying at my laptop screen over and over again "I'm not accepting this, I'm not accepting this". I'm so so pissed at those producers, they've now already made the crossover such a big mess by doing that, but you're so so right, we're damn sure as hell gonna see Oliver again before the whole thing is over, and for a proper farewell to our lead Arrowverse boy. See you with part two, my dear
This was my reaction to the original crisis all those years ago. It was a gut punch. Also, there's a Doctor Who phrase you should memorize: wibbley wobbly, timey-wimey.
Does anyone else ever feel like if they ever got a chance to meet Brittany...they'd not be able to utter a word and would sit there smiling before running away to get an Inhaler for Asthma they never knew they had because of how Gorgeous she is or is that just me 😊😊😊
@11:42 Sara tried her best to comfort *_Grizzled Oliver_* but it seemed like all she did was remind him of everything his much younger doppelganger has that he'd never have...wife, kids, *a left ARM,* not to mention the fact that his Sara is long dead on that earth
I decided to subscribe to you when TH-cam recommended your Arrow 8x01 reaction and you almost spit your drink out when Oliver told Earth 2 Adrian "Maybe I'm just 10 steps ahead of you" and then I was like "I gotta see how she reacts to Crisis" EDIT: My name is a nickname from high school, not tryin to copy britsmash
YESSSSSS can't wait till your reactions to the rest and the guy on the bench was the reporter Knox from the Micheal Keaton Batman movie, and then Burt Ward Robin was the guy walking the dog Adam Wests Robin, wish he was still alive to see this would have loved to see him and Burt walking down the street together
I was crying right away as well. Superman and Lois having to put baby in ship same way he was. The music for Crisis is nostalgia and hyped up more. Green Arrow forever!
To help you out Brit, Sara and Ray learned from Brainy after learning where Baby Kent went in the very episode of Crisis Part 1, the 2046 Earth the Legends landed in wasn't the Prime Earth 1 future Oliver, it was a parallel Earth 1 future of another timeline they traveled to. Clearly the writers finally addressed the seemingly continuity issue since watching the flash forwards, which initially appeared as if Oliver's and Connor's future changed from the first encounter they had with them in the season 1 Legends episode "Star City 2046". So there is two Earth 1's existing in two timelines occupying the same space. Basically they pulled a JJ Abrams Star Trek explanation of why they're having to avoid telling the established canon missions as a means to take similar encounters but tell them differently or they may not happen at all within the parallel timeline.
Glad to see you caught up now. I have put off watching your newer reactions because I was so engrossed in seeing everyones Crisis reactions. So now, I will be able to get caught up on those during the break..... once I watch you melt down over the next 2 parts of Crisis.
The future Arrow was on a different earth. There was a line the Sarah says that not only did the legends travel to the futre but a completely different earth.
Yes but this is incorrect and is a writing error. I don't know why they felt they needed to revisit that plot point but it wasn't a good idea because a lot of people got confused. The Legends never went to the year 2046 of Earth-16 during Season One. It was simply the year 2046 of Earth-1.
@@danku1122 I don't think you're getting what I'm saying. Basically in the episode they make it seem like The Legends traveled to a alternate Earth during Season One. But this can't be the case because both situations contradict each other. So don't throw a half assed ''because multiverse exists'' argument at it. A plot hole is still a plot hole.
@@CarlosHuiskens Well it was originally gonna be the 2046 Connor Hawke & Oliver Queen scene but due to scheduling issues, they have to rewrite the whole thing for that. I think the actor who plays Connor made an instagram post about it
@Nick Fletcher. Again just like Danku1122 you're not getting what I'm saying. The way plot is written contradicts the previously written story. I'll try to explain it to you. - The episode tries to imply that The Legends previously traveled to Earth-16 during the Legends episode ''Star City 2046'' But this isn't possible based on Old man Oliver's reaction to Sara. - In the Legends episode the older version of Oliver knows Sara didn't die etc etc. He knows she became a hero, joined the Legends and all of that stuff. - The version of Old man Oliver we see in this episode DOESN'T know that. He actually believed that she drowned when the gambit went under. So clearly this version of Oliver is DIFFERENT from the version we see in the Legends episode. But this crossover tries to IMPLY that they are one and the same which isn't possible.
Since we first saw the future Star City, between the Legends and Flash the future has been changed several times. So, there are several times where Ollie can survive into 2040. Also White Canary said they had gone into an alternate future, so who knows anymore? LOL!! After this, the future changes again!!
It's disappointing that a lot of reactors didn't get a lot of the cameos and references to the original graphic novels or even knew pariah who is very big in the comic storyline for this. These are different earths. The older Ollie is from a different earth not different time line.its 2046 but a different earth.hence white canary said no matter what earth your from ollie your still a good person.
POSSIBLE SPOILER I know like, I hope to see in finale spectre vs antimonitor but they might not since they are changing some things and I thought that baby jon would be a version of Alexander Luthor and be the turning point like he is in the crisis on infinite earths comics because of his powers
Little bit of side information: Sara's statement about traveling to 2046 of Earth-16 during Season One is incorrect. Its a classic writing error the Arrowverse shows are known for.
Just a mistaken assumption on her and Ray's part, I think Sara realizes when seeing Earth-16 Oliver's confusion the 2046 Star City she visited in Legends Season 1 was indeed the genuine pre-Flashpoint future.
@@mattb6369 Not mistaken assumption but simply bad writing from the writers. They wanted to create a bit of fan service by bringing back Old Man Oliver from Legends season 1 and retroactively establish that the Legends traveled to a different Earth while also traveling to the future. But we all know this didn't happen because this version of Old Man Oliver genuinely thought Sara died on the Gambit. And he also looked younger. So i understand what the writers were going for but it simply didn't work out.
the one that they visit in 2046 is from earth 16 not earth 1 so it is a different timeline which isn't affected by earth 1 olivers death please let me know what you think
Brit this isn't the end for the heroes of the DC Universe, they will be brought back after they stop the anti-matter that is destroying the infinite worlds. just wait I know this will be stopped one way or another.
The only thing that confuses me about that is if the Legends saw this Ollie last time then how come he doesnt remember Sara ? I just find it weird but whatver
While the writers apparently attempt to ''solve'' one, with declaring the events of ''Star City 2046'' to have happened on Earth-16, there are still things that don't match, only explainable by saying that the characters themselves are wrong about their assumption of them being one and the same. Oliver seems to be much younger than he appeared in that episode and he not only does not remember meeting Sara then, but he thinks she died when the ''Queen's Gambit'' was sunk, meaning she wasn't even part of the events with Anthony Ivo in the Season Two flashbacks for ''Arrow''. It's why 8 felt like those scenes on Earth-16 were forced and out of place
Star City 2046 in LoT was an alternate timeline that wasn't set in stone. The Legends changed the future, thus a new timeline took its place. It wasn't forced at all.
RIP Supergirl universe and those who did not survive.
RIP Oliver Queen you did not fail this multiverse.
