- I hope this video helped out! If youve got any questions, list them down below.
If you don't have an audio device that wont make any actual sound, here you go:
Virtual Audio Cable: vb-audio.com/C...
If you want to share your whole screen on discord with audio, you can use Virtual Audio Cable for this. I'm not planning on making a video for it, but here's a text guide:
1. Set your default output device in windows to Virtual Audio Cable.
2. Listen to the input side of your virtual audio cable with your headphones. This can't be ''default audio device''.
3. Set discord's audio output to your headphones specifically.
4. Add an audio input in OBS under sources.
5. Select virtual audio cable.
6. Set it to monitor and output.
Found this after only getting shitty solutions after hours of browsing reddit and youtube and this was easily understandable and worked like a charm, thanks a ton!
I've used this video twice, on my old computer and my new one today, and I just gotta say thank you so much, this is the only guide out there I could find that really clearly shows how to do this and in such a direct and easy to follow way.
ABSOLUTE LEGEND! I searched far and wide over reddit and blog posts. Nothing else was even close to working. Amazing tutorial bro!
this is so helpful I'm planning on streaming to discord for my friend and didn't know what to do thank you,I have a windows 11 laptop that I'm going to be using
Ty for this, you're the GOAT!
Been trying to figure out how to do this for a while looking through a bunch of videos and different forum posts. Your video worked like a charm, man. Super informative and straight to the point! Thank you
Omg thank you so much 5:28 was very helpful
omg thank you every other video was super vague and didnt help at all
Actually goated vid, thank you user
incredibly helpful cheers
thank you legend
Thanks man!
You did a really amazing job, Im still wondering, I dont see the ps4 audio flashing in my OBS im worried tomorrow my buddy wont hear audio cuz i dont see the EQ flashing any color on OBS. Any suggestions? I have my capture card connected to ps4, to tv, then usb to my PC, and I can hear ps4 audio on my PC speakers, i set the output like you said to something that doesn't put out audio
MAAN ILY
what would i do if my capture card does not come with an audio device? i recently got an hd60 and there was no audio device to listen through. obs still captures audio and i can listen through it but is delayed like the video. i play through my tv and don't want the tv speakers to be picked up when streaming on discord so i want to figure out how to listen through my computer
thanks lad
my friends can hear themselves for some reason. I have discord on my headset too.
Turn off desktop audio, and use application audio capture for the app you're using.
Why is it dark when livestreaming in discord, but the livestreaming preview is normal.
for what reason do people stream with obs instead of standard streaming in discord?
Can we double down on this video?
Recording audio and video for a podcast over discord and allowing people to join in live.
We usually just upload audio to spotify but the podcaat would be alot more fun with those added changes.
Any suggestions?
Hello thanks for your video ,my friend listening his voice once how can I turn it off
The scene is just black and doesnt show my game, any help?
I just use virtual cam so everything i see on obs is shared on Discord, or is there any reason why I should it in way more steps like in the video? serious question, I just do the virtual cam thing cause someone told me to do so :D
Is there a way to get the preview to be 60fps?
All I want to do is have a browser tab playing a video that I can be streaming on discord but I don't want to listen to it on my end so I can do other stuff on my PC. How do I do that? I can't just mute that window otherwise it will also be muted on discord.
this video helped loads! but one issue, my friends can hear themselves through discord, im assuming its because its capturing *all* the audio on my desktop, but how do i make it just the game's audio? any pointers?
^ nevermind, i fixed it, thank you this video was really helpful !
@@vitalkin8839 how did you fix this?

Somehow my fullscreen projector didn't show a correct preview, do you know how to fix it?
Wait I don’t get it I go into discord and the only option it gives me when streaming is OBS and not the full screen projector
While on Studio mode (on OBS), right click on Program:Scene, there will be a menu showing if you want full screen projector of windowed projector
unfortunately this also doubles my ingame audio
Maybe during a tutorial don't add in unnessasery clutter like syncing audio and video because of the capture card that not everyone is going to have. Just the bare basics of adding a video and audio and sending it. The capture card example and then further explaination of syncing it up because of latency just adds clutter to what could have been a straight forward video. A lot of people, most of the people watching this probably don't have a capture card nor even know what one is. It's helpful but, maybe an advanced version of this video would have gone better. Saying "you can just skip this" with no indication of where to skip to yet having to still sit and watch it can be tedious for viewers.
Just suggestions,. :)
I did this and I have audio but the audio of Discord is being captured too and my Friends can hear themselves twice, any fixes?
I assume just mute desktop audio and if you do want to share audio use application audio capture (beta), that is just an obs thing
so i need to steam on obs to stream on discord?+
But *why* do you have to set the audio output to something that makes no sound? Please explain?
Otherwise you hear it through the listened device and a delayed one through obs as well.
@@emily_embers If I dont have a "fake mic", like u on your video, what can I do?, when I turned the option of "listen to this device", and then selection the other option in obs, about the audio output I ended with 2 delayed audios overlayed -w-
How do I use my iPhone to stream?
