Basically just a compilation of 11 hours of video material I made during vacation in the most humble country of the world: Lithuania
Starting in Germany over Kiel Ferry towards Klaipėda, Šilute and surrounding, over to Panevėžys where I spend some nice late summer days with newly-made friends on a manor. Some broken and quickly fixed problems late I drove over to Vilnius and later on camping site in Trakai. Returned to Vilnius and on the way back home via Šiauliai, Palanga and Klaipėda I’ve visited the curonian spit and had a bath in still warm Baltic Sea water near Nida on 3rd October 2021. After some 3000 km of fine driving, my Hanomag AL 28 of 1967 told me just 3000m off the ferry in Germany that he wants to return by not accepting any gas pedal movement anymore. I jumped out off the co-drivers door, looked to my feet and in the middle of nowhere laid a 50€ bill in high grass. Worthless for me. But that’s life: Money doesn’t really help you out in those situations. Only your best and closest friends and a believe in yourself and the quality of a timeless classic car can. It’s been just a loose screw and two and a half weeks of journey. But it feels like a completely new age of time has just begun. That’s the magic around this vehicle, truly Hanomagus
“Ačiū labai” to all friends and background actors, who constantly were so friendly and hospitable, who showed a small šypsenėlė or a big thumb up towards this massive rusty time machine. I’m lost for words.
