Just put your feet up, close your eyes, lie back and dream for 20 minutes Rich Hughes and you'll be there, back in the time of The Darling Buds of May. Sadly though, when you open your eyes again, you're going to come back to earth with a big Bang ! Thanks for your comment Rich. TopCat
'Was' being the operative word. Why she has chosen the 'plastic' path like numerous other public figure women is a pity. What is wrong with growing old gracefully?
Thank you! She's Mariette Jane in the Darling buds of May, my middle name is Jayne, so because it's different I gave my Mariette 'Soleil' for her middle name after Punky Brewster. My Mariette is in my TH-cam photo with her brother Noah who I named after Noah Wyle from ER.

Been watching all of these. It's too bad we all have to get older. I still imagine myself being the young Charlie, who marrys marriete. I'm so enjoying the series.
I have to say, I’ve never been the jealous type “Never” but… that all changed when I saw Charlie. I so badly wanted to jump into my TV and wanted to be his Character. Such a beautiful story by E.A. Bates 🙏🏻❤️
Brilliant 👍🌟❤ Good health to all SIR David Jason is television legendary man He's 81 know !lives at Buckinghamshire With he's wife and 20 year old daughter who's he's assistant! Perfict ma"😃
Oh Levi, that's such a great comment and thank you so much for taking the time to make it. I still watch all of David Jason's different series on TV. He is a legend and I didn't know that about his daughter. I had to look this up ~ Sophie Mae Jason was born when David was 61 years old. David and his wife Gill Hinchcliffe. TopCat
We (Yanks) discovered ‘The Larkins’ from watching ‘No Offence’ and loving Joanna Scanlan. Now we’ll have to learn if we can find this show. I don’t know what it is about British tv programs that we find so entertaining. We do not follow any US programs at all!
The Larkins 👎 such a shame, The Darling Buds of May will always be a classic, shame they couldn't have done a further series with the original cast, would be plenty of storey lines and still very watchable, sadly The Larkins is not for me.
ABSOLUTELY.....it's cringe-worthy not to mention a misrepresentation of the past...every episode gets worse and worse....what a complete waste of time and money!!!
The remake is forced multiculturalism. Charlie is now an African & the Patel’s have settled in the village. Very accurate of course, because apparently we’ve always been multicultural & this is set in the late 50’s.
The original is far superior to the re-make....which bows to the woke culture fraternity in its desire to be diverse......in one earlier episode every occupant in a local village seemed to have come from a variety of ethnic backgrounds....just like it would have done in the 1950 '..s..I don't think so somehow
Love this series it's a gem. . The Larkins new series looked promising and everything was looking good watchin the first episode and then I then I seen they put lots of ethnics in as its not pc to leave em out it seems. Stopped watching as they changed the prog as not to offend and changed the ingredients due to this. I'm not racist but changing the ingredients spoiled the recipe for me. If something works, don't try n fix it. The Darling buds if may was and is still Purfic.
I have to say, I did try to watch the new version but it was bad. How about introducing new Characters and stop changing Characters race. Could you imagine changing a Black Character to a white Character? There would be WW3. Leave the Characters Race and brings new Characters into the show.
So, no attempt to show the original primrose played by Julie Stichbury. Far better primrose in my opinion. No offence to Abigail Rokison who was lovely as primrose but sometimes the originals stay in my memories better. Just a observation that's all.
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view!" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?" th-cam.com/video/POO4lrTclNY/w-d-xo.html
A gem. Could quite happily live in the 50s. A much more sociable time. I need to have a lend of Dr Whos Tardis.

The rehashed Larkins show was total Drivel compared to this ..
