I grew up listening to this on family radio. Now it always makes me feel closer to God. My mom would play it when the sun went down on Friday night to open the sabbath. Such a blessing. Now I can share it with my children.

That intro has always been so special in my heart, that i would cry hearing it and still do at times. and the outtro music just touches my soul. that music is fitting for the Great King of Heaven. Maranatha saints. also the narrator has special voice that i like hearing still. wonderful times capsules. i used to listen to this on radio back in the day.
I tried many times to get a complete Bible read by Dr. Van Dycke but last time a clerk from Family Radio told me that they didn't have a complete Bible but only portions of it. It's been too sad to know that because his voice is so inspiring. From a SDA Christian.

Years ago as I listened to his reading of the life of Jesus Christ, I will see myself in the dream, more than once sitting with a multitude of people in a field like area and then I saw a man from the feet to the waist only walking in the midst of the crowd sitting down clothed with a gown to his feet and preaching the exact gospel viebatim to the seated crowd. It was glorious but I have never had that dream again after I stopped listening for a longtime. I have either started listening sometimes to the audio version or just reading the bible daily to acquire the knowledge of the person of Jesus Christ (John 17:3).

This helped me to learn to listen to the word of God and I was able to learn and retain much more than reading . Ecclesiastics 12:12-13 the whole purpose if for us as humans to Fear God and keep his commandments for this is the whole duty of man for God will bring every deed into judgement and every hidden thing weather it be good or weather it be evil. Again to obey is better than sacrifice obey his law that thou might not need forgiveness and animal sacrifice which is the law nailed to the cross of our Passover Jesus . The flaw was in man kept sinning and thus needed animal sacrifice. The Book of Jude says speak and act like those who will be judged by the law . You must know the Law to keep it . Again I say Paul said if not for the law I would not know what sin is . We toss out the law we toss out sin and thus the fear of judgement . Isaiah 66 warns of the time to come when the Lord will destroy with fire those who eat the flesh of swine . Breaking his dietary law . Peter to an angel refused to eat Acts 10 because as Paul stated even if an angel should come with a contrary message don't accept it . For the spirit knowing all things forwarded us and we saw Peter refuse a new teaching other than that in the law and we follow the story and see the dream was about allowing Gentiles Non Israelite into the church for Jesus before he died told them not to go to the gentikes for the time had not yet come. These were perhaps the greatest spiritual effort put into existance in the age of electricity. Hendryk Van Dyke's ambition was to complete this magnificent work, but I believe he died near to complete form and was finished by another narrator, but Van Dyke was a true master with no equal. Now, from reading here, it seems that the complete untouched work does not even exist as an archive, valued by even one person with a space of suitable conditions to store this work. 66 books of the new and Old Testaments, by a count given up by Google a total of over 800,000 words.
