The cloud series from ColorCl is still one of their best designed. I still wear their cloud gray all the time, OBSESSED lol. Don't forget to use my coupon code danica10 to save you money when you shop with ColorCl. All pairs are linked in the description 😊
Hiya. Thanks for reviewing the Cloud series! Cloud Brown - For me, you nailed the description of these, even though my eyes are a bit darker than yours. These are, so far, hands down my favourite natural look lenses with a lightening effect. Cloud Gray - These do indeed look quite gorgeous with the right lighting conditions. Not as natural as the Cloud Brown for me as this is a bluish grey in some light. They are a fun change though. An acquaintance couldn't put her finger on what was different about me. I told her it must be the coloured lenses. She said she thought that the shape of my eyes had changed. Funny how a pair of contacts can affect how others perceive your eyes! I pretty much did my eye makeup the usual way, so it was definitely the lenses.
Now see to each their own! The Cloud Brown is without a doubt one of the best Brown lenses I've ever tried. However I prefer the Cloud Grays because I noticed that there is absolutely zero bug eye effect with this color, as opposed to the Cloud Brown, there is a slight (VERY slight) bug eye effect depending on the lighting. I am so picky about this aspect of lenses. And I love the Cloud Gray color it really gives me a dreamy look, and perfectly enlarges. But perhaps because your eyes a different shade than mine, the Brown just suits you better. I am so impressed with this collection, I'm kind of surprised that it isn't more popular. But I've noticed that best selling contacts on the main color contact websites are actually some of the more dramatic, bold (and IMO unnatural) looking ones so I have a feeling that these contacts come off very differently on very dark brown eyes and they actually look natural on people with very dark brown eyes and darker skin tones. I'm trying to piece it all together, so I can figure out what lenses work for what shade of brown type thing, I hope you know what I mean haha. You'll probably hear me talking about this in future videos :)
@@DanicaRevamped Indeed! YMMV is so true with coloured contact lenses. Plus it's also subjective. My type of Eurasian eyes lean a bit more Eastern, hence I shy away from blue or bluish lenses generally. Browns, greens, greys and black(ish) circles are my preferred. Though the Cloud Gray is fairly dark, so I just get away with them I think. It's interesting that you perceive a difference in the bugginess of the two colours. I appreciate the hint of transparency that mimimises that effect. And I agree that in certain lighting this is more noticeable than generally. A dramatic change is a lot of fun, and I suppose the market for coloured lenses is generally a younger demographic. I'm part of a small subset that seeks out a subtle and least unnatural looking change. I look forward to hearing your insights in future videos. Keep up the great work.
I adore the design of the Cloud series. For the same reasons that you do - ie the fineness of the print and the execution of the limbal ring. I also like the relatively low opacity which minimises the lizard eye effect. I wish ColorCL would expand this range by adding new (hazel perhaps?), as well as different shade variations of the existing 4 colours. E.g. A warmer Gray. A Green with more yellow. The current colours lean toward the cooler end of the spectrum. They could also experiment with combining colours on the lenses. E.g. A Brown lens with a grey limbal ring. Another thing would be to play around with the patterning. A bit more complexity along with the play in opacity could be nice. (I should put all this in a review on their new website.)
They do read all the reviews and listen to their costumers, their design team always mentions the costumer feedback about the colors when they describe a new collection launch to me. It would most definitely be read by one of their staff if you left a review on their site. My absolute favorite color from CorloCl is the sugar brown, it is so beautiful and perfectly compliments warm skin tones. I have already requested that they re-create this color for their Crystal line with an Iris style pupil hole. THAT would be amazing., I would be OBSESSED! I agree, more warm toned colors for the cloud series would sell really well, (I really like you yellow green idea, that would be so pretty) just because the Cloud design is one of their most natural ones. Hears to hoping. They're releasing three new colors in the Siesta orginial series next Friday, so keep an eye out for that I know that other ColorCl reviewers are preparing their reviews for it too :)
@@DanicaRevamped Thanks for the heads up on the upcoming release from ColorCL. : ) I'll leave them a review. Another idea for a new Cloud series colour could be grey with a violet hue. Not exactly natural, but I think that would be rather fun. Sugar Brown looks similar to Creamy Brown. With my smaller irises I'd be worried about getting a light orange ring around the iris perimeter. : ( Anyway, I hope the ColorCL Santa grants your wish! Cheers from Australia.
Danica Revamped I also emailed and ask for a cloud series but with iris style pupil hole! Hopefully it becomes a real thing because that would be the perfect contact
Colorcl if you're reading this could you please please please create a second cloud series with all these colors just 2 shades lighter .They would be amazing and would sell out
hey girl! would you mind reviewing the ttdeye iris II line that just dropped a little while ago? i’m especially sooo curious about how the purple lenses look!
Hey! I just found out about this line a couple days ago, it will take me some time to get a hold of these pairs but I will eventually and I will definitely make a video of them. I'm so pumped to try the purple ones too!!
Hi, Danica! It's me again! Rs I really want to know.. do you prefer crystal green or iris green? Both of colorcl. I have hazel eyes but I really want to see more green in my natural eyes. I have been looking for a natural lenses. I don't like the bug eyes aspect. If you could help me, I appreciate! Thank uuu.
Just wanted to mention that green and blue look wonderful on you from this line, but your natural eye colour is better looking than the gray and brown lenses. Both are not bright enough to flatter you. I have same eye colour as you, and I love the Siesta Sugar Brown on me, also the crystal hazel. They give me an enhanced look while looking nice and natural. Great video 👍
