My childhood memories are attached with this route. We used to travel every year by this route to visit my nani's home since late 1980s till mid 2000s. Things have changed over the years.. I have travelled all over India, but this route remains best for me. The hills, the villages, the forests, the rice fields, the tribal people, the sound and smell of the diesel engine,the villagers selling forest products, the single line track, everything has been etched deep into my mind for my entire life.. Now I am living far away . I wish i could travel in this route every year even today. Thanks for the upload.

The soothing chugging sounds of the Alcos toiling relentlessly to reach the destination, the old world charm of the semaphores, a plethora of crossing freights and passengers drawn by very colorful liveried Alcos, EMDs.......charming, beautiful. This trip was undertaken in October 2017. Back then, the Titilagarh Rayagada stretch was electrified but not energised. Many parts of the Raipur-Titilagarh stretch remained unelectrified - in fact even bereft of any poles and wires. In 2018 when I last visited, Rayagada-Titilagarh had become electrified - one passenger had started operating with electrics but the Titilagarh-Sambalpur and the Titilagarh-Raipur stretches remained unelectrified. Now I think everything is electrified (as Darshil Patel already mentioned)...
This line appears to be totally electrified yet I saw only one electric loco in the entire video. And to make matters worse, almost all the diesels were the super-polluting Alcos. I don't understand why there appear to be very few electric locomotives in service on this line when it appears to be completely electrified.
