Thanks for saving us from a lot of disappointment, Cjplays. Most of those weren't even worth the time it took to download and install them, and had no business being uploaded. I'd reserve your time and effort of an overview for the few that were fully realized maps. The couple others that were nice, but empty could be a "Fixer to Fabulous" type series for when you're in a build/renovation mood?
Hey CJ! Thank you for the lovely compliments on Cape Albacore. I was one of the builders contributing to the project. I am super proud of the lead Team and all contributions. I really hope you DL the finished lots and enjoy it,😅
Hi CJ thank you so much for doing this. Sometimes I look at a lot of these worlds but I’m concerned about downloading them so it’s really helpful to see you download these worlds so we can look at them and also I would love you to populate Cape albacore that would be fantastic. Please don’t forget the world I recommended to you in your last video because I think it’s one of the best world ever in the Sims 3 a brand-new world by Yorkieb a British creator it’s called Littlewood Haven it’s absolutely amazing. I’d love you to review it.. have a great weekend🎉
You’re so effing nice on a lot of these that are… interesting 😂. Thank you for doing this tho. I’ve always wanted to but didn’t want to mess up my computer haha.
Cjplays, I also noticed that a large majority of these are Island worlds. I guess people either really like building Island cities in the Sims 3 or people have too much trouble hiding the edges to create the illusion that it isn't an Island. I wish they gave us few extra distant terrain objects.
@@Tevi_L7151 Too bad they don't have some distant terrain objects for smaller worlds than, for people who would like a small world to play with but don't want an Island world
As Sims world builder I can say it is harder for beginners to make a non island. Because u have to deal with the distant terrain. U have to create one of ur own with 3D Programms or u have to connect the height to the distant terrain. It is an annoying work. So Island a much easier to create.
@@zoe-lou2522 You don't necessarily have to do it that way. You can hide the water around the edges if you cover enough of the land around the edges of the map with Camera non routable terrain. The downside to that, is that you have a lot less land to work with and space at a premium on anything but the largest possible maps with little to no area that you can't build on. Its one of the reasons why I try to not make most of my lots really big.
Why oh why do people just upload half of the stuff they do.I really wish there was someone checking before anything is uploaded, thank you so much for saving us all the time!!!
Yeah, I think some worlds are just people testing caw. Some creators maybe want a feedback before investing more time, other just stop because it takes long to create a world and other probably don’t have an eye for design. There is a lot to pay attention to when u are working with caw. And it takes sooooo long. A nice world takes over 100 hours to create. And working properly with caw is a long journey.😫It is still in beta.
43:51 You probably have default replacement for stairs, or it's bad CC. These metal staircases have been already in several overviews, and it looks like they could have been in some industrial world like Boroughsburg or Cronor. If you don't want to mess up your save files, you can test worlds on fresh folder in Documents directory. Only folder named The Sims 3 can be read by game, so naming one The Sims 3 World To Check Out will put this folder aside, it can be restored by naming it back into The Sims 3. It's very useful, cause all mods and things installed through launcher will stay in that folder too.
Thank you for doing this! Cape Albecore is my favorite, I downloaded that one 😊 and that one was just an empty Riverview 🤣 and some of them... I don't know, but non the less, very cool video, I enjoyed it 😊
in the sims 3, can you view the surroundings through the sims eyes? it was like that in second life, and it felt like you were actually inside of buildings and homes
Cjplays, If you place a weather stone via the world objects in Create A World, a second one will spawn on one of the community lots. I tried it with one my worlds hoping to be able to control where the weather stone showed up, and I was kind of upset when a second one popped up. It has nothing to do with world size.
Always love your world overviews! The EA app broke EIG for me, but I was able to use an old version of the origin app to run it the last time I used it, which was of course a long time ago now so I'm not sure that work around still works, but it's still worth a try for those unable to use that function. You just can't be also signed into the EA app and definitely ignore the update it tries to force on you.
It still works with EA. I think the problem is that CAW tries to connect with the sims 3 over origin, u have to transfer some data to another folder. It worked for a lot of creators. Don’t give up.
19:08 I think it's possible to place weather stone from buydebug menu in buymode. This creator probably put in at the end of path, and the second one spawned in another part of the world.
I was the person who made "evolving world". I'm so sorry, it was my first world. I didn't mean to upload it! 😅 (It's now deleted, because it was so bad lol).
I'm just waiting for somebody to recreate the Hidden Leaf Village on Sims 3 🥺 I can make the characters but the houses and buildings I really suck at it.
A cool Idea. But it is not that easy. If somebody want to recreate it u have to know how to use 3D Programms for custom content like the wall and the stone faces and u need to make a custom distant terrain (the background, where u can’t go with ur sims). I would like to do that but it takes too long right now and I have other projects first.
Really liked this long overview! So much crap though, which is a shame. Sometimes on the other hand you can still find little gems like Coridge or Velaris (though the latter isn't shown in this video).
I am working on a Paris inspired world. An old city center and some chateaux outside of the city and some farms. The city needs some cc for the buildings and I have to create it first. But it will take some time.

Sims 3 looks so much better than sims 4, it’s wild
You’re so effing nice on a lot of these that are… interesting 😂. Thank you for doing this tho. I’ve always wanted to but didn’t want to mess up my computer haha.
Honestly, with a tiny bit of polish, and a catchy name and description, that "my world" could be a total hit!
Cjplays,

as the owner of a weak laptop and still can't afford better pc, I say that island worlds are the easiest for gameplay, and or if they are not so full

These custom world's are awesome I can't wait to see the Overviews.
THANK YOU SO MUCCCH! Also a world I think is worth checking out is Everything Island on the catalouge.
I love spontanic overviews like that. Thanks for all overviews along the years. ✌

Wow! 1hr + video, thanks CJ. 🥳❤️

I don't understand why people upload worlds that are so incomplete. And you skipped a bunch in the store that were likely worse....lol 😆😞😆

Definitely a couple great worlds!

Would you make a video like this for the most downloaded worlds of all time on the sims 3 exchange.
I think he’s already reviewed many of those worlds
18:07 ohhhh this Fatne Isles is beautiful
I would love to see you build up Cape Albacore after Rosewood!
Okay Tuscaloosa would be Tuscaloosa Alabama, it's one of the cities that got hit by the tornadoes pretty bad several years ago
19:08 I think it's possible to place weather stone from buydebug menu in buymode. This creator probably put in at the end of path, and the second one spawned in another part of the world.
I can always count on you for world tours🥰

Omg I would download that world so fast

I can't believe there are even this many worlds!
would you consider making your own custom world one day?
For the not being able to place down, its possible that because you were going in and out of worlds without fully shutting the game down, it glitched.
If you do a world overview of Oz, please try to have the store content installed :)
Hi! I would like to see your take on Triada! :D It's over at MTS.
It's like exploring alternate dimensions...
Really liked this long overview! So much crap though, which is a shame. Sometimes on the other hand you can still find little gems like Coridge or Velaris (though the latter isn't shown in this video).
CJ, when I rent in RL I bring my stuff with me...RL
8:20 I feel like I'm not the first one saying and definitely won't be the last, we would love to see a world build by you
Paris is just like it undone..I hated it. Because its undone
There's a Paris world that I once downloaded for my Sims story and it's very well done. This Paris world.... Yeah 🙄
I am working on a Paris inspired world. An old city center and some chateaux outside of the city and some farms. The city needs some cc for the buildings and I have to create it first. But it will take some time.
太有意思了!😁
That first one was a total waste of your time. I have a feeling there are lots more of those types there. I have downloaded a few.
how is your game okay
Cjplays,
This video is indeed super long. It’s over an hour
