【4K】Top 10 Places of Jasper National Park | Jasper Travel Guide

In the summer of 2024, Jasper National Park was greatly damaged by a huge forest fire. We are sorry that half of the Jasper Town was burnt down. We were lucky to record the beautiful Jasper National Park before the fire in 2022. This video may serve as a historical record of Jasper before the fire.
Jasper National Park is the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies, spanning 11,000 square km. Jasper National Park is a part of the UNESCO's Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site and offers access to the world-famous Columbia Icefields, marvelous canyons, relaxing hot springs, turquoise lakes, gorgeous waterfalls, and splendorous mountains.
We will take you on a journey to visit the top places in Jasper National Park, including the scenic drive across the park; Maligne Canyon, the deepest canyon in Jasper National Park; Jasper SkyTram, the longest and highest guided aerial tramway in Canada; Medicine Lake, the intriguing lake of mystery; and Maligne Lake, famed for its azure water, surrounding peaks, and Spirit Island.
Next, we will visit Miette Hot Springs, the hottest hot springs in the Canadian Rockies. We will drive on the Icefields Parkway, one of the world's most famous scenic drives, leading us to the Athabasca Falls, and the Columbia Icefield, the largest ice field in North America's Rocky Mountains. The Athabasca Falls, known for its force is a powerful waterfall that flows into the Athabasca River. The Columbia Icefield is the largest ice field in North America's Rocky Mountains. By riding on an all-terrain Ice Explorer, we are able to go up to the Athabasca Glacier of the Icefield.

Ah I miss Jasper. Been to Banff 3 times for 10+ weeks but have only got up to Jasper on our first trip in September as I was too afraid to try the drive from Canmore as I visited twice in early May....which is so much cheaper and pretty with the snow topped peaks.
Tip- If you are looking to do the Jasper Sky Tram and walk to the peak. It's not very long and rated as easy- BUT if you are like me and have bad knees or are a little unsteady you should be sure to wear your knee brace and bring trekking poles. I failed to do so and decided I didn't want to risk injuring my knee so early in our trip as we had lots of other hikes planned. I'm so disappointed I didn't get to that peak.

So many places to check out in Jasper, bound to miss a few. The crown jewel is definitely Edith Cavell mountain, then Maligne Canyon, Amethyst Lake & the Ramparts of Tonquin valley, then I would add the world known skyline trail. Our channel features all the sites further away from the road if you return & want to venture into the mountains.

We took this video in the late May. Jasper just came out from winter with so much ice on the road. Edith Cavell was closed because of the icy road conditions.

@@AdventureOurLens oh that’s a shame! There’s multiple roads only opened 4 months out of the year in Jasper. Edith Cavell rd, Miette rd, Celestine rd, Moab rd & Fryatt rd. They all lead to some of the best Mountain views in the park.
