Hello friends. Do you like the design and functionality?
It looks very good)
I would say the piece is beautiful, creative and very well made on the one hand. But on the other hand, not too practical if you have numerous leads and would need to make one of these for every one of them.
Always impressed by your handiwork
It's amazing
@@Whoozerdaddy I'm sure one can make a spool for multiple leads 🤗
As a carpenter I enjoyed every single step of your work. Of course it's so much easier, cheaper and faster to buy a ready-built one, but as a personal project for a special and own-built subject it's amazing. Thanx for sharing those beautiful ideas.
I built a similar contraption years ago, except I put a 4 way at the end... and it worked better than anything store bought... I tried several ones from home depot and the nothing was as good
@Wasted Space with Brock Hauser
I also bought one frome Home Depot.
It works, but you have to be an octopus to wind it up...
I'm going to take it apart and use the pieces to build a better one.
Very impressive . Extension cords are becoming obsolete though . Made a clothes line out mine .
Store-bought lead coils are terrible. I like this, but couldn’t make one as good as this. Impressed. ❤️🇷🇴
Bravo. As previously mentioned, ... you obviously have several skills for which you've Mastered.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I've watched it several times.
Every element in this presentation was Top Shelf, 1st Class and produced so professionally I'm going to assign my Video Production students to screen it as a project deserving an "A-"!
Originally, I assigned "A+" to the video.
The "A-" is ... In my own personal and professional opinion ... because of this.
I docked you .10 for using ... what is in my own personal opinion ... a totally inappropriate TOOL used for tightening chrome plated >> anythings!!
Combination wrench/Spanner. Socket or Nut Driver. .... (or the business ends of those oversized adjustable Pumps taped to prevent TOOL MARKINGS. and your grade raised to "A++" !
I am a beginner to woodwork, the main test I have with this bundle th-cam.com/users/postUgkxTNB_zFBSnTo_O1PqfVUwgi7ityw0JlKt is that I think that its hard to settle on a choice of the plan and outline to use as there are a large portion of them there. Nonetheless, I like the simple stride to step directions laid out there.
Nice job, but nothing I´d build, cause building it is too expensive compared to just buying it.
No music, no voice over... PERFECT!!!
I have to agree with daniel you're either an engineer with woodworking skills or a woodworker with engineering skills. I've been professional cabinet and furniture maker for almost 30 years and if you ever move to the United States or come to Massachusetts look me up, your hired. Incredible
The world's most beautiful [and expensive] extension wire ... luv it❤
I don't know if you're a woodworker with engineering skills or an engineer with woodworking skills. Either way you build was mesmerizing. I loved everything about it.
Amazing, now I’m one of the few people who know about this idea, I feel SO privileged, what a life changing moment 🤣🤣🤣
Do I detect a hint of sarcasm....¿ Hmmmmm?
I didn't see that coming. I thought he was building the worlds most intricate hamster wheel!
Just wanted to say thank you. Never even crossed my mind to mount bearings like that with dowls. Can be very useful.
The execution is gorgeous, I really like homemade tools!
Looks so much better than the cheap plastic ones (at hardware stores) ... Looks strong & durable ... And (looks) like it won't easily topple-over & get easily tossed/dragged - like the flimsy plastic (ones) ... How you make me wish I had a place (and means) to build stuff!
Save 11 minutes of your time by starting viewing from the end.
Thanks. I was getting sucked into the hypnotic circle making when I noticed your comment. Cool reel though.
You're the comment hero. Thank you
Seriously though.... Even after skipping was a waste of time
🙏 my hero
I love to watch, it's beautiful to watch professional working.
But I won't ever try to do myself.
Your tools are gorgeous. You can see how much you love them
Interesting ideas. The performance is excellent, aesthetically pleasing and beautiful. The winding knot is a little wrong, the spool just needs bumpers, in your design the cable rubs against the body. Otherwise very nice, the idea with the bearings and loose cable cord is great. Thank you for the video.
Great idea👍 I liked how you recycled the little pieces of plywood
Great job! Thank you for the inspiration.
Muy buen trabajo saludos desde Argentina 🇦🇷
WOW, Vanya that is really a nice built. I have a store bought one that my Dad had with 50 ft of cord and 2 plugs in it. Yours is really a nice one.

영상 잘 봤습니다!! 또 오겠습니다!!
Brilliant. How do you put the cord through? I missed that part.
That a great!
I love the brass mallet, do you have a link or brand?
I have many of the tools you have, however, I come up way short in the creativity and skills department. Really nice thanks for posting this.
The key to this excellent work, besides the talent and high quality tools and the knowledge of how to use them effectively, is the clean, well-organized workspace with nothing on the floor to trip over. The exact opposite of my little home shop.
Wow genial! Muchas gracias por compartir! 😊
Awesome! I like the way you tackled the rolling mechanism. Also the approach to brick-lay the elements for the drum. Nicely done. A truly skilled woodworker.
Ugh, that part annoyed me... I was like, "turn down a cylinder on a lathe!" :D
It’s a beautiful thing. Show it to us in a year with a little wear and tear
As a physical therapist that treats lymphedema, totally appreciate the joke about lymphatic massage!
Well made. Thanks for uploading the video.
Stunning!
You had me at the fingerless gloves. 👍🏼
The hampsters are so happy you can hear them in the background
Most impressive thing to me is the fact that you have birch ply offcuts laying around! Last time I looked, that sh*t was £200 a sheet!
До последнего пытался угадать, что же это за штуковина. Не угадал. Очень круто получилось!
WOOW...Geniale Idee..!
wood from surplus projects can produce a simple but useful project..a smart idea..if in the market it is difficult to get a long wire connector~malaysia boy🇲🇾
Excellent design Vanya.
Very nice design! Much more elegant than those plastic mass-produced spools!
Nice piece of work!
I’ve been in cabinetry and just making weird stuff. That’s one of the nicest wire reels I’ve ever seen.
I love it! Is there a Bluetooth version?
Any chance you could tell me where you got that Bosch Drill press column clamp? I've been looking for a clamping solution for my drill press for a long time and the one you used in this video is perfect for my needs. I could not find it on Amazon and I'm not even sure what it's called. Can you help me please?
Amazing work totally jealous... you have the lathe in the background and the ability to not use it... I'm not sure if I'm more jealous of the machine or your ability... great video
Ok, I must admit. Thats pretty slick!!!
That is just what I needed for my extension cords, I'll be making a few of them. Great for storing the cords with having a mess.
Well, it's so simple, I could do all of it in half the time in my sleep. Unfortunately, ONLY in my sleep. Amazing craftsmanship. Don't try it at home!
I did the same with a piece of 6" PVC pie and a 6" PVC collar and ply sides in way less time
Wait... So you made all that instead of buying a cordless angle grinder? haha. Cool project.
I was going through this thinking "Not another air raid siren?" LOL, but this is awesome! I love the use of the bearings!
Ce matin grâce à vous, j'ai vu un bel objet 😍. Beau et utile 👍👏👏
very handy! good work
It's a nice project for a personal extension lead 👍
Nice design. Fun video too watch.
Love that. Well thought out and beautiful work. Only drawback is its very hard on extension cords as it twists them up.
Комментарий в поддержку канала и ролика, а также труда мастера.
Wow... Sehr nice, aber auch sehr teuer!
English: Wow... Very Nice, but very expensive!
Man this is just so nice. Another brilliant Idea from you
Amazing!!!
Great video!
how did you get the first circle?
That's one of those brilliant ideas that no one will ever build or use. Use it as a prototype and have it made out plastic, then maybe...
It’s beautiful!
👍🏻👍🏻Très bon travail 👍🏻👍🏻
nice wire spool, nice construction techniques. keep working with wood, but learn to use the right metal tools correctly. channel lock type pliers used backwards instead of a wrench to tighten nuts.
Good job 👌 & thank for the idea!
How did u do the first circle?
Somente o suporte para segurar que não aguenta muito, claro que se for utilizar em obras. Uso caseiro é suficiente, muito boa a ideia. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you for a such a wonderful & beautifully executed project & terrifically significant video! I just subscribed!
layering of laminate
very appealing 🖐️
You always make it look so easy 😊 loved it... what a great idea ❤
Perfect 👍
Nicely done 👍
3:40 iron man cleaning his suit.😂😂😂
Simple for you, maybe. But I'm your average , all-American knuckle head. I'm a pipe fitter, theoretically. I'd substitute some bits for larger diameter PVC pipe. Also my home shop isn't as well equipped or spacious as yours. So I have got to figure another way.
But that was an interesting build with some interesting ideas to use elsewhere.
Your video was well thoughtout; engaging; and your execution was exceptionally brilliant!
I need something like this (bigger for my 150ft); do you have project plans available?
Well done!
Umm 50metre is over 150' :)
很棒的手工 ✋✋✋。佩服,佩服。
Nice!!!! Excellent work!!!!
smart idea👍
Now that was really clever!!!
really nice!!!
Great job! The layers of plywood look so beautifully thin, is it marine plywood? Surely can't be normal ply?
Pretty ingenious.
Nice👍🏻
Great handiwork!
I Like this concept
Sweet !!!
Beautiful
Very neat well done Sir, I like your style 👍
Just one thing. When you use the lead, always fully unroll it. This looks brilliant but, whatever the drum is made from, a coil of wire is a Chock and will get hot.
How much does this piece of craftsmanship weigh?
Why didn't you make a mini-fridge in the center of the drum for 3-4 bottles of beer to maintain strength after hard work?
I loved the look of the wood cylinder, almost a shame it must be covered with the extension cord (probably worth doing something like that for a top or desk organizer.
What an effort. How many hours did it take? And how much would the part have cost at the hardware store?
Nice. Lots of work. I bot 1 at a yardsale for a buck. Works just fine. But good project for those with lots of time to spare.
Beautiful cord reel. True craftsmanship BUT you could save a lot of time and money and just buy a commercially made one online for about 25 to 30 dollars. They would be just as functional and you won't care in the least if you drop it and scratch it all up, which is inevitable. BTW...I really enjoyed watching this build. Thanks.
Brilliant!
Gledam...gledam... I ne mogu da verujem !
Cool!
Bemmmmm melhor que a minha😆😆😆
