As a citizen of the United States, I cant imagine a better spokesman for Canada than Rick. He has presented Canada in the best of light since the beginning. I have had the opportunity to travel in Canada and it is beautiful. Some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Rick, best of luck in your future endeavors.
As an american, I'd like to say that I'm going to miss you, Rick Mercer. And I agree with Rick: Canada, you're pretty good looking. And you're really, really nice, too.
modo modox Thankyou for your kind words, we Canadians are very proud of our country and its people. If things get to scarey on the U.S. side come on up to Canada, you will be welcome. LOL
Yup and you don't speak for me either. Trump wasn't being such an ass about immigration south of the 49th we would not be having half the problems we are with 'easy' immigration. -rolls eyes-
John from the UK here, only just discovered the amazing Mr Mercer, a walking talking billboard for so many things, Canada, comedy, acidic wit, great TV and he appears to be an all-around nice guy. If ever there was 'great TV' about a great country, then this is it. Love to see you one day! John
You and your staff have been such a gift to the Canadian fabric. Thank you for everything you have given us. You will be deeply missed and moving forward, I wish you nothing but good things.
One of my best finds on youtube were Rick's shows. They all made me laugh, smile, and learn more about Canada. When I retire in a few years the camper will be hooked up and I plan on taking a few trips north of the border, time for me to personally enjoy some of Canada. Best of luck Rick and everyone involved with your show. You did a great job!
As an American, I've visited Cities, towns, and national sites in B.C., Alberta, New Brunswick, Ontario, and Nova Scotia. Not one of them was ugly. Everyone was nice. Be proud, Canada.
Thank you for your service to Canada's comedy scene, and political scene... And for showing us how sadly often they are the same thing. Can't wait to see what you'll do next.
Thank you, Rick< for 15 years of the amazing show. It's truly one of a kind. Thank you for giving us your last piece of advice, what you have been doing all these years, GO OUT AND SEE CANADA
Canada is indeed a beautiful and culturally rich country, and anyone who can should defiantly take some time to explore that beauty. We will all miss you Rick, I just hope the Canadian people have actually learned something in the last 15 years.
@@tudeslildude dude this country has 0 culture, it has disgusting climate, monotonous landscapes, crappy selfish people, individualistic culture, its boring and insipid...you really gotta travel! anyways hizoka is my fav
Been there and done that and still so much to see. But where in Canada will I find the laughter that you, Rick, have brought to me for so many years. I love you Rick Mercer, a strong manly love :-) but love none the less.
THIS MAN SPEAKS THE TRUTH!!! I have been lucky enough to visit every Province in Canada, except Newfoundland, and I still need to see the Territories, but the.......scope of this nation, the sheer brilliance of the scenery, the incredible variety of biomes we have to see makes traveling in Canada some of my most treasured memories! And I still have memories to make, thousands of kilometers of beauty to see, and new friends to meet! If you haven't seen much of Canada outside of your home region, you OWE it to yourself, and to your family to see what our home and native land has to offer!
As for you, thank you. You have been a part of my life since the early 90s and helped bring a smile to my face on some occasions and brought things to my attention that I might not have noticed otherwise. I wish you the best of luck in your next endeavours. Thank you for everything.
Beautifully said. I plan to see more of Canada. Thank you for enlightening us with your humour and knowledge and for the adventures you have taken us with you over the last 15 years of this show. Miss this a lot. 💗 I love watching the re-runs.
Thanks Rick! You are a stand up Canadian. A Voice which embodies the heart and soul of our land and people's. a leader of example which makes me proud to be. Canadian.
I'm not Canadian but close enough that my last two vacations have been in the Upper Peninsula. Your show has finally convinced my partner to renew his passport so we can go visit all the awesome on the other side of the Great Lakes. If Canada Tourism doesn't have you on the payroll, they should! Thanks for the years and years of amazing TV! PS: Take it from an American - you don't really need to go to Florida. Maybe once.
I wish Rick Mercier would get another weekly show. I have travelled through most of Quebec except Ungave, Gaspe, and Lac St. Jean. I have visited most of Eastern Ontario, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia and toured my favourite, Newfoundland. and I would like to spend some time west of Lake superior.
enjoy ontario! toronto is a great city and the rest of it is pretty nice too! Can't miss the Bruce Peninsula if you're close to Toronto. I also really recommend Manitoulin Island and Killarney. Both beautiful amazing places.
Amen! I have always said that Canada is the only place I want to vacation. There is so much to explore in our own country! Congrats on 15 seasons Rick! You will be missed greatly.
I want to say how much I LOVE YOU, Rick Mercer!!!! Thank for the millions of laughs!! Please don't stay gone too long. Also, PLEASE post the video of you introducing all the locations you have ever taken RMR to. Please.
I couldn't agree more. There's absolutely nothing in the world like a trip across Canada. To anyone reading this: you can live your whole life all over Canada, and still never even come close to seeing all it has to offer. I'll never forget entering the Rockies after driving for three straight days towards the flat horizon line in the prairies. Canada is an impossibly beautiful country, with so much open space that it's a crime we fly to other countries on vacation. This is a fitting end to the hundreds of alley rants Rick's recorded over the years. Thank you for everything, Rick :) You've done more to make me proud of where I came from than I'd like to admit, and I promise I'll help pass that pride on to others in the future. Good luck and godspeed, old friend.
For my parent's 30th wedding anniversary in 2016 they wanted to do a family trip with my siblings and I. We debated for 5 years leading up to it where we should go. What we should do. We decided to skip Greece, skip the Caribbean and instead go west. Go back to Alberta where my parents had once lived and where I was born. We left when I was four and, more than 20 years later, we returned to the beautiful mountains. It was May, it was still snowing but it was beautiful. Canada is a beautiful place. I want to explore all of it! Thank you Rick Mercer for being such a wonderful part of Canadian media for these years!
thank you rick! you got me through a tough round of bullying when I was younger, I faintly remember watching some of your videos to help back then. Thank you so much for striving to be the best people can be!
Thank you Rick !!! It's amazing that all of the years gone by and there was very few things that I didn't agree with you on ! You are intelligent, level headed ,compassionate fair person ,some one who I would like to see guide our Country in the right direction !!!! Hope to be seeing more of you in the future ??
