❤ this is my first time watching your video. I’m here from Midwest Magic cleaning who I’ve been watching him blow up over the last year and a half to two years.😅 and my first impression is your voice and the way you talk is amazing as mac said it was. 🎉🎉🎉🎉 sometimes the speed of talking can be flooding. I’ve seen cleaning with Barbie, turn it into a chipmunk thing, but I guess that’s only so many times you can do that is something that personally I lose quick interest over, but I love to hear talking in the background while I’m watching these and body doubling with TH-cam.
It’s called churning, by just moving things from one place to another & back again. You do feel like you’re not getting anywhere. The only thing you can do is keep working with your grandma & letting her know things need to be gotten rid of & tell her other people might enjoy receiving some of her “duplicate/triplicate” items if you were to donate them, If they’ve been in the garage or up in rooms she no longer accesses once you’ve “sorted things” she may see it differently. Great job on helping her out ❤🥰
"A lot of that stuff CAN be used, but there's just so MUCH of it that NOTHING can be used." -- said by a 12 yr old boy about his grandmother's house, on a Hoarder's show. You got a lot done. You are a thoughtful and patient granddaughter, doing a huge amount of work! What endurance! I think, when you're all done, you should take all of Grandma's fake flowers, and pile them up around her. I can't imagine that she's aware of HOW MANY she actually owns. Cat blankets, too. I like your videos. I liked your little bits of peppy music. I like when you explain what you're doing, what's in the boxes, what Grandma's decluttering. The problem I often find on people's TH-cam videos is when they have music snd talking at the same time. The music is often way too loud. Your's is good.
You are motivating me to get rid of unnecessary things in my house. To not keep things that have no use for me and kids and grandkids are not interested in having. Garage sale is not an option as we are pretty remote and from past experiences all that work for a small amount of money. I am 75 and do not want to leave a lot of work for my kids when I am gone. You are doing an excellent job, and your grandmother is a hoot, and I know exactly how she feels about getting rid of her stuff. Thank you for being so patient and also opening my eyes to how much work is involved in decluttering a house and garage.
I don't sell either, it's a weight off my shoulders to just donate/recycle/landfill and get it out of the house ASAP. I've sold in the past when I've been desperate for cash but now I'm not I've lost any heart for it.
I love watching this because you keep tackling it all regardless of your disappointment in her decisions. I do hope the rest of your family is appreciating your efforts. You might rope off the yard sale stuff. I truly wish that grandma would understand there's no money in garage sales. Everyone wants something for nothing. She might get a couple hundred is all. Sad. Just let it go. I do love that she loves on and provides for the cats. Good job anyhow 👏 👍
You have done wonders in the garage. A couple of unsolicited suggestions. 1. Move the garage sale stuff against in the corner where you put the pool chairs and cat table. 2. Clean up the attic and store bins that has stuff like the seasonal flowers, etc. (Labeled, of course) Really, take a look at the first videos you made of the garage. You have done a really good job.
You have accomplished so much in that garage. Don't beat yourself up. Great video and as far as editing, do what you want. That's what I love about your videos. A little music, a little voice over, a little speed up. Boom! ❤
Denial flows through that garage 😆. Serious note, G-ma has to go at her pace, even though someone else would say - chuck it! - it's her choice... until it isn't. Yes to the voice over, yes to sped up ASMR. Chickmunk voices rock!
A glimpse of me when I saw the notification that we were back at Grandma's house..🏃🏼➡️🏃🏼➡️🏃🏼➡️ I thought the voice over quality was perfect 🤷🏼 I like how you did voice over, a little clips of music and then Grandma's "Keep, Keep, Keep"🤣 Great video 👏🏼, thank you for the motivation
I am a granny. I love that you are going through these things for and with your grandma. I love that you are respectful, so that she feels safe in the process. I get a kick out of seeing which items she wants to save, which to sell, and which to donate. I think it is easy on my chair watching to know the "right" category; far easier than deciding on my own things. haha. What has worked for me is to work on my own until I have a group of items that I have questions about. Sometimes I need permission to toss something. Usually that's a project I don't want to complete because I don't need the item, or it is something someone in the family Should Want, or it's a pain to get to the right place. Then I call in the kids, either in person or with a picture. I really love giving away things to a good home so that is my top choice. But, if no one wants it, it becomes easier to "let it go". Practicing by watching videos like this helps. It also helps to limit the number of hard things in a specific time. I really hate waste and trash so sometimes just throwing away a stack of plastic is a victory. The next day I'm not damaged, haha, so I'm up for the next thing that seems hard. The yard sale items are basically in a "time out". They very well might end up being donated with a bit (or a lot) of patience. There were a few items that could legitimately be sold, if not donated to the right cause. The stool from the bank caught my eye. Maybe that could be a Marketplace listing with a bit of history. Selling a few items might be just the thing to realize the rest of the stuff basically can/should be donated. I'm not so sure I'd put anything in the attic. I have an attic and it's not too fun to unload it :) I should say also that my parents are living. My mother is a natural minimalist I think. If she isn't using something or has a plan to use it she donates or gives to family or sells it. She's pretty amazing. Their home won't be too difficult to work through. But I hope that's not any time soon! My kids are a mixed bag of minimalists and maximalists. I have a bunch of grandkids and the ones with more kids have more stuff, unsurprisingly. They are willing to say "no" to me (and I am willing to hear it) so they are aware of "Too Much". Having Stuff, and knowing about the consequences of Having Stuff, is really a complex set of life lessons. (I'd say "journey" but that's overused 😆) You're doing a stellar job, and it is helpful and enjoyable to watch.
The squeaky voices don't bother me, but I really like voice overs. You cracked me up about the strong willed toddler cause you were dealing with a strong willed grandmother too! I think its a family strong willed women cause you have mad strength tackling these projects!
You did a fantastic job again! You can only do what you can -tidy, not perfect, is still progress. Your organisation of piles will pay off when it's time to remove it. It looks livable, so that's a huge win. Well done! I like your voice overs, didn't find the audio lacking either. You do a great job on your channel! Be you, do what is best for you. I watch because you're real, down to earth and bring your human self to your vids.
You freed a window and let more light into the garage, that’s definitely something 👍😊 I prefer no or only small periods of music; I like the natural sounds, even sped up, or voiceovers better ❤
Ok unsolicited opinion. My 90+yo parents still live in their starter home from 1959. Out of sight out of mind attic was a chore recently, but so important to bring its contents down and purge. Less above their heads to either nag them or to forget about. Now when my mom mentions the attic, I can confidently say, no worries! It’s empty! I recommend you don’t bring anything up, just take everything down.
All the garage sale stuff right in the middle….. then when she goes out there, she can actually see what’s been sorted and can go. Maybe she’ll get frustrated by it and just ask you to get rid of it? I completely understand/sympathise with your frustrations, you’re doing great!
This first one of your videos. Thank you. The pants got my attention. I will watch first one in series later. You are wonderful Perron being so kind to grandma. Reminds me of how good my life is. Plus I don’t need more stuff!!!!
You are such a trooper. You sound just like my daughter when she's been helping me empty my house. I tried my darndest to say Let It Go Let It Go more than I'm going to keep it. I certainly appreciate your patience with Grammy😊
I would take the empty totes and stack inside each other and put lids on top, just so you don’t have the tall stack. I agree with the moving the garage sale things into the area where the cat beds are and label with a big sign. It’s looking really good though!
NO ONE WANTS UR GRANDMAS OLD COOLERS!! Even for free ugh that is so frustrating to watch😬. But it seems to motivate others so at least u have that!;) good effort gabby 🥰
Organized chaos is real. This reminds me of my mother and although you're happy to assist it can still feel excruciating in the process Definitely prefer voice overs.
@@101-SS I agree, garages should contain cars and car fixing tools. Maybe garden tools if there's no shed, house maintenance tools if the garage is accessible from inside the house, garden furniture if it has to come under cover for winter and there's room. Nothing else.
You are such a hard worker and an excellent “Tetris-er”. You have been so patient with Grandma. I wish she would let go of more! Cover the yard sale stuff & put a “ DO NOT DISTURB “ sign on it. I like voiceovers and sped-up activity when the work gets too tedious or repetitive ❣️
Your voiceovers are great and I like how you leave the sped up chatter and cleaning sounds. This video was a nice balance of narration, inserted information, and convo with your gram. Definitely cover the sorted garage sale items and make them hard to get into by tying rope or duct tape around it so it isn’t easily accessible. How much does your grandma think she will make from her garage sale items & does she plan to immediately donate what doesn’t sell? I laughed when you were saying there is no room for all the stuff (your perspective)but I bet your grandma sees the entire garage as storage. She probably doesn’t feel a need to have it empty or it doesn’t bother her at all.
Maybe you can go to the Senior Center and get a referral to a Counselor to help you with how to talk to your Grandmother. I did that with some issues concerning my Mother with her health, driving and her physical space. It helped to talk with a professional on how to deal with her mental state and mine. Mac at Midwest Cleaning has tips on dealing with a Hoarder like your Grandmother.
The best option is to hear your conversation with Grandma at regular speed, the second would be VoiceOver . . music can be so annoying 🤣 you are doing a great job!
Perhaps your grandma could part with the garage sale pile if you approached it as “her charitable donation”. I stopped reselling and now donate as my charitable donation for the year. When you consider the work and pitiable rewards of garage sales, it’s much more satisfying to give to charity.

Maybe in the future she might come round to your way of thinking.
I find myself feeling sorry for you. Your heart is in the right place, but it seems you're dealing with a hoarding situation. I admire you for trying to stick with it, but, yes, it is blowing my mind. The job is huge. I'm dealing with my parents' home of over 40 years. Dad's gone, Mom is 98, and I've realized I can organize, but much won't leave until Mom does. That's my reality.
I wish people would realise that all their "treasures" they're saving (unused, in a box, cupboard, garage etc) is going straight into a skip when they pass away because grief doesn't allow for anything else (or the stuff ends up making the inheritor miserable - because they now have it hoarded in their own home because they feel guilt-tripped knowing the deceased didn't want to just dispose of it to landfill). It'd be so much better if people actually rehomed their stuff any-which-way to people who want it and will use it, whilst still alive. It's sad.
You did great. You need to look at it as when you started. Would it be better if garage sale stuff is gone ?well ya but it is looking great. Grandma has room for car and cat's 😊
I wonder if one person will want to buy the garage sale pile on facebook marketplace or something. Will save you energy and time and space and someone can get a deal on decorations/resale items!
Chipmunk-type voices are fine! I try and guess what y'all might be saying and, even if I 'm wrong, I can make a dramatic scene! Or whatever is best for you as I am content.
Is it worth it since your Gram doesn’t want to donate? Your efforts are such a great gift. I prefer to watch you in real time not a fan of the fast noise. Good luck with the clean out. ❤❤❤❤
All the time, effort and interaction with gma is worth everything! Having it all on video to look back on and show her own grandkids her gma someday AMAZING! Oh and I hope she keeps the highchair her gpa made 🤗
But will anyone take the time and spend the money to actually restrap a $5 lawn chair? That’s how junk piles up. If it’s broken, it goes directly in the trash OR restrap it today. Otherwise ‘someday’ is never.
I like your voice overs. You do a great job of summarizing and giving context and color to what you're doing and where you are in the process.
I like the way you edited this video Sometimes letting us know what’s going on
❤ this is my first time watching your video. I'm not surprised you can't cope with it Gabi. It is depressing churning someone's hoard over and over because you can't get rid of anything.
I vote for the voiceover vs music/speed talk/noise

I think a tarp with a threatening sign is the answer for the garage sale stuff. Something like....DO NOT MOVE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE💣🔥💣🔥
You are motivating me to get rid of unnecessary things in my house. To not keep things that have no use for me and kids and grandkids are not interested in having. I like hearing the funny sounds and voices sped up! 😂
Plus your voice overs, of course and intermittent personal comments with outtakes and all 🤪👍
That cat in the hat like intro, with your wacky overalls, should go viral! 😂😊👏
I'd rather no music... I appreciate you sharing & defer to whatever is easier for you ❤ 30:13 your voice-over is excellent & very clear

Hello there, Honey Bee. Nice overalls. I do miss the flannel pj pants though.
Great work!! You are making progress.
Keep categorising and reducing. This is what I have had to do in my garage.
❤❤❤
I prefer voiceovers. I feel for you. My mom refused to get rid of so many things that she couldn't use or wear anymore. It really is frustrating!

Girl you are the real energizer bunny! You are so great to do this for grandma and so respectful of her wishes. Happy holidays!

I like voiceovers and music both. Your choice of music is nice and calm so I don't mind it if you can't do a voiceover sometime.

The garage looks scary 🫣. You are so patient with your Grandma ❤
Voice over is good, Gabbi, but what you did was good and entertaining. Thanks for fun videos. 😂
Years ago, I was told to never put paper or plastic in a cedar chest. They absorb the cedar oil and then the chest no longer protects as it should.
No music, much prefer the asmr sounds and fast talking when sped up ❤
Your music was hilarious! I’d put the little cat area under the table with their beds. I saw the little orange kitty pop in at the end, so cute!
Music and voiceover. I loved the music you used in older videos! It was one of the reasons I subscribed to your channel
I just realized that I spent 25 years helping my friend "churn" her hoard! She had regular sales but-profitable? No.... It consumed our lives....
NO ONE WANTS UR GRANDMAS OLD COOLERS!! Even for free ugh that is so frustrating to watch😬. But it seems to motivate others so at least u have that!;) good effort gabby 🥰
I see progress!!! And spring will come eventually -- then perhaps a sale❤
Maybe in the spring that sell pile will go! I like the voice over. You did a very nice job of categorizing and organizing!
Organized chaos is real. This reminds me of my mother and although you're happy to assist it can still feel excruciating in the process Definitely prefer voice overs.
Realistically, is any of that stuff actually going to sell? Think garages just encourage hoarding. Well done for dealing with the overwhelm.
@@101-SS I agree, garages should contain cars and car fixing tools. Maybe garden tools if there's no shed, house maintenance tools if the garage is accessible from inside the house, garden furniture if it has to come under cover for winter and there's room. Nothing else.

Like it best egen you do voice overs!
Something is Something!! Tyfs! God bless 😊

No reason to get down on yourself. You did a great job!
Hi dear Gabbi, with your toddler you may find Dr Becky of Good Inside very helpful.
quality is good
Music and voice overs👍🏻
Fun outfit. Made me laugh. Silent unless you are talking, is my choice.
You did a LOT, girl!
you worked your butt off. I personally like the fast sounds.
I don't mind the fast talking at all lol...I just love your videos!!...Enjoy your day!
I would rather both ambient and voice over. Maybe also some music. And tell your gramma from this gramma - LET THE GIRL WORK, SISTER. That is all 😂❤
I prefer the talking😉
I prefer either voice over or the fast talking, not a huge fan of music. Love your videos ❤
I like voice over
Well done ! You are so patient with your grandma. Have you asked her what she’ll do if stuff doesn’t sell?
We have people in my area that will sell your stuff for percentage of profit. May be a great compromise if you can find someone who would want to.
❤
You certainly are a trooper. If grandma is not willing to part with anything why don’t you just close the garage doors and stop giving yourself a hard time ❤ your grandma obviously is not ready, it’s her life in boxes and you have worked hard and tried your best. Maybe in the future she might come round to your way of thinking.
Great job!!!
No music. I like your voice. Tina, Al's wife

It's sad.
I don’t mind the sped up chatter. We all understand why it is that way!
You did great. You need to look at it as when you started. Would it be better if garage sale stuff is gone ?well ya but it is looking great. Grandma has room for car and cat's 😊
Tie another rope around the attic stairs so that you can pull them down without climbing on a ladder.❤❤❤❤❤
The clanging is quite disruptive. If they are chimes pull a sock onto them while you are there if you can’t take them down while filming ❤
Voice over for me!
Voice overs or talking. The garage sale will probably not happen. People tend to overvalue their stuff, so it is overpriced.
Voice-over when sped up. ☺️
But either is fine. Whatever is best for you. 🥰👋
voiceover!!
Are you labeling any of these totes?
💖
❤❤❤
Voice over please. No music, no fastforward gibberish.
Oh and I hope she keeps the highchair her gpa made 🤗
Love hearing you talk Gabbi, it wouldn't be fun to watch if you were not Telling us what's going on, so Please don't play music.!
Some sped up fast talking is okay Occasional narration You did a good job
You have done best you can with “ toddler “. One day it will be gone. 😊😊
Do you label? Is the rest of your family willing to follow the labels?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
No ff talking, not music. Just repackaging noise.
Voice over
voice over pleas👍
Can I buy the camo jacket?
No music, please.
voice over please
I''d much rather here your voice over than canned music. I find most of the free library music grating.
Those aluminum chairs are worth money. They can be restrapped
@@peggyresid5162 Or recycle the aluminum?
But will anyone take the time and spend the money to actually restrap a $5 lawn chair? That’s how junk piles up. If it’s broken, it goes directly in the trash OR restrap it today. Otherwise ‘someday’ is never.
Do you have anyone to help you, siblings or cousins?
Voice over, please. 😊
