respect马丁路德的，但内地对香港的…emm，抗议人士的态度，他们不在这首歌的描述群体里面，主要还是打砸，地铁系统交通系统，红绿灯跟马路，通过破坏这些能影响民生的设施来导致香港的停摆对政府抗议…我真的不理解，还不如当初占住立法会更好，这些东西最后都是要用钱的，而且香港旅游业一下子被打倒谷底，在香港作的经济作用在逐年下降的情况下这完全是在加速香港衰落

Have you looked up the original of this song yet? As the other comment noted, the original singers was a rock band called Beyond.
The group members had taken a trip to Africa, and the experience broke the lead singers heart. He was so humbled, so moved by how the people there starve & struggle, but can still smile and be happy.
He returned to Hong Kong, vowing to do something to try to help. He couldn't believe there are so many riches in this world, but yet, there's countries like parts of Africa, where people, children are starving.
So, the lead singer put all his feelings into creating this song & expressed it through the lyrics.

Can universally apply, and has applied to/for/with Chinese peoples plight/struggles and resilience through history as well.
