No, Mick is not new. All his family were brilliant musicians. They lived around the corner from me in Artane, Dublin. I am now 82 and living in Western Australia and was involved with Irish Dancing internationally all my life, so I really know how to appreciate good music. Keep up the good work Mick agus an clan.
Hello Eugene, I just spotted your post while I was searching for some tunes covered by Mick & Caoimhín. When you mentioned your involvement with Irish Dancing internationally all your life, I started to wonder if you originally learned your dancing at the Cunniffe School of Dancing in Roscommon or Athlone as your name is very very familiar. Thank you and I hope your keeping well, Best Wishes John.
Might the boom of the Irish music have passed in the last decades, mighty band's disappeared and important masters died, but that resolute struggle through the years has finally turned into this logical outcome. Mick , one of the new, or not so, masters of the Irish music.
I had the immense pleasure of seeing Mick play at a pub in Kenmare, Ireland. He is fantastic and a nice man, to boot!
Brilliant stuff, from Western Australia
