@@randylahey2242 it’s really not difficult to operate the tow truck boom arm, driving the truck is pretty easy so is the controls to the boom arm. There’s cameras below to guide you as well. A thief could if they have or stole a tow truck be able to easy go and steal a car

I got my belongings from it and he explained how I could get it back and where it would be located. Dude, even gave me his card and said he hopes everything gets better for me. Also, he secured my vehicle a hell of a lot better than this.

If he fails to give it up then you call the police and have them get the keys for you. Doing this kind of stuff is dangerous and I've seen plenty of videos of it going badly. They try to take off without securing the vehicle because they don't want to get caught but sometimes they lose the vehicle, sometimes there is someone inside and they wouldn't know because they never check, and sometimes there's a misunderstanding and the person is not late on payments at all.
usually newer cars have a cable or electronic system so if u put it in park it doesn't engage a calk on the engine gear it uses a cable mechanism that pulls the brakes tight so you don't bust ur trans but on older cars this has happened to me and i got 0 refund so D,O,T are kind of dickheads now of cores i still had the cable parking brake but i like to use both so my car is very steady but that eventually broke and i eventually sold the car for dirt cheap considering so yea don't use ur transmission park i guess?

I don’t remember what it’s called, but this isn’t a repossession due to failure to make payments. It’s towing due to parking violations, things like parking without a pass, parking on a curb, in a handicap spot, so on. I work with a guy who drove a tow truck and did this kind of towing. He always says those drivers are hated even more than repo guys, because with a repo you know it’s coming at least.

If you can't pay your car note, call the bank who holds the loan and ask about deferred payments. They can defer one to multiple payments for up to a year (12 payments total) and most are willing to work with you. On top of that, it doesn't hurt your credit score because it technically shows that you're paid. Don't just not make the payments.

Someone who was able to afford the payments could have lost their job, got sick, lost their spouse, their spouse could have lost their job or got sick or their children or another family member got sick and medical bills are costly. Either way, regardless of whether you live outside of your means or not, it doesn't matter. If something comes up in life, as I stated above, the banks holding your car note are willing to work with you.
That’s why you leave your hand brake on fully, the engine in gear, and your steering wheel at full lock in one of the most possibly inconvenient directions, and optionally put a stick on the brake pedal so all 4 wheels lock up. Makes the repo guy have a great time.

Practice, that's all you need. Find yourself something with good mirrors and a big open parking lot and just hit pavement. Start backing into parking spaces instead of pulling into them If you have one of those small spotter mirrors on your car, see if you can aim it at the rear wheels with the main mirror aimed so you can see the side of your car. Once you learn where your wheels are, you'll be able to put that thing where ever you want

Dodge Chargers are RWD, only a select few models are All-Wheel-Drive. In any case, the rear tires will NOT roll that smoothly if pulled that way from the front... especially RWD being pulled... Notice he pulls the car from the right tire and tugs on it; the rear tires spin smothly, that means the vehicle is in (N) neutral -- He had the keys of that vehicle to do that

Just going on how smooth that garage floor looks, it's possible the tire is just skidding from that side being lifted on the front. The old shop I used to work at had a super nice epoxy coating on top of the concrete and just turning a car into a bay at 2mph would squeal tires. When we moved them around with the fork truck you would see open diff cars spinning one side smoothly against the direction of travel on a side pull.
@@melvindwayne no, what happens here is when the tow truck lifts the front of the car from one wheel only, the rear wheel of the same side gets lifted off the floor too, so when the car is pulled forwards you can see the rear wheel spinning backwards in the air because of the differential. I'm pretty sure the transmission was in P.

Parking brake has nothing to do with transmission or engine, its just blocking the wheels. Unless you find driving manual cars hard, then you buy automatic. 😂

Automatic transmissions have a device known as a parking pawl. This device locks the transmissions output shaft, preventing it from moving when the shifter is in Park.
@@whatgaca Nope, the rear differential saved the transmission. Dude only lifted up one side of the car, so the rear tire was in the air and spun backwards. This means the driveshaft was not spinning at all. Car will be fine, might need an alignment but otherwise its fine.

Pulling a car from the back like that can cause tremendous amounts of damage, and should not be done except for to pull a car out of a spot and position it properly.
chargers are rear wheel drive. so provided the driver knows what he is doing he can properly tow from the rear. Towing this car from the front would cause massive amounts of damage, and its kept at a low angle in order to not drag the front bumper.
Pulling from the back only hurts the car if its a FWD system. Chargers are RWD so dragging the front isn't gonna hurt it. And your steering argument makes no sense either. The wheels are turning, how is that damaging your steering in any way? They aren't bound to anything and just spin freely on the hubs. Worst case scenario, you'll need an alignment.
In the case of the first car not being taken because the “owners” showed up…if your car is being repossessed, you haven’t paid, you therefore, DONT own the vehicle.
One day there might be a family member asleep in the backseat, and the only way to stop that crooked tow truck driver from kidnapping that person is to stop the driver using any means necessary.

If you can't pay your car note, call the bank who holds the loan and ask about deferred payments. They can defer one to multiple payments for up to a year (12 payments total) and most are willing to work with you. On top of that, it doesn't hurt your credit score because it technically shows that you're paid. Don't just not make the payments.

Someone who was able to afford the payments could have lost their job, got sick, lost their spouse, their spouse could have lost their job or got sick or their children or another family member got sick and medical bills are costly. Either way, regardless of whether you live outside of your means or not, it doesn't matter. If something comes up in life, as I stated above, the banks holding your car note are willing to work with you.

That’s why you leave your hand brake on fully, the engine in gear, and your steering wheel at full lock in one of the most possibly inconvenient directions, and optionally put a stick on the brake pedal so all 4 wheels lock up. Makes the repo guy have a great time.
Any damage done to the car during repo is on the owner by the way... So good luck getting the car back in pieces.

Start backing into parking spaces instead of pulling into them
If you have one of those small spotter mirrors on your car, see if you can aim it at the rear wheels with the main mirror aimed so you can see the side of your car. Once you learn where your wheels are, you'll be able to put that thing where ever you want

Dodge Chargers are RWD, only a select few models are All-Wheel-Drive. In any case, the rear tires will NOT roll that smoothly if pulled that way from the front... especially RWD being pulled... Notice he pulls the car from the right tire and tugs on it; the rear tires spin smothly, that means the vehicle is in (N) neutral -- He had the keys of that vehicle to do that
none of the “upgraded “models are AWD. The base models are AWD and the higher models are RWD.

Just going on how smooth that garage floor looks, it's possible the tire is just skidding from that side being lifted on the front. The old shop I used to work at had a super nice epoxy coating on top of the concrete and just turning a car into a bay at 2mph would squeal tires. When we moved them around with the fork truck you would see open diff cars spinning one side smoothly against the direction of travel on a side pull.
@@melvindwayne no, what happens here is when the tow truck lifts the front of the car from one wheel only, the rear wheel of the same side gets lifted off the floor too, so when the car is pulled forwards you can see the rear wheel spinning backwards in the air because of the differential. I'm pretty sure the transmission was in P.
Always turn you steering wheel all the way to 1 side if your a deadbeat and don't pay your bills.

@@whatgaca Nope, the rear differential saved the transmission. Dude only lifted up one side of the car, so the rear tire was in the air and spun backwards. This means the driveshaft was not spinning at all. Car will be fine, might need an alignment but otherwise its fine.

Pulling a car from the back like that can cause tremendous amounts of damage, and should not be done except for to pull a car out of a spot and position it properly.
chargers are rear wheel drive. so provided the driver knows what he is doing he can properly tow from the rear. Towing this car from the front would cause massive amounts of damage, and its kept at a low angle in order to not drag the front bumper.

Pulling from the back only hurts the car if its a FWD system. Chargers are RWD so dragging the front isn't gonna hurt it. And your steering argument makes no sense either. The wheels are turning, how is that damaging your steering in any way? They aren't bound to anything and just spin freely on the hubs. Worst case scenario, you'll need an alignment.
