- Hey Horse Lovers! Today we are going to show you Lumiere's CRAZY HAIR ROUTINE. Washing Lumiere was a chore and very time consuming but also SUPER FUN! Luckily, I had some wonderful assistance and warm sunshine to help get the job done. In this video we will rinse, wash, condition, and polish Lumi head to tail! I can't wait to show you the entire process. I will talk to you about how I go about taming his wild mane and some tips and tricks for horsehair health. @@inwonderland333 idk i think it’s personality behavior wise beauty personality is calm mellow relax, easygoing horse not dominant lumiere is the complete opposite to beauty.Lumiere behavior like a stallion with the mare she can’t keep him with the yearning and he very dominant.
@@inwonderland333 different temperament , needs more training .. he was gelded later .. every horse has different temperaments , even though they're the same age beauty is very ahead of her age in the way she acts , kudos to who trained her

As beautiful as Lumi is, I could never own a horse like that. Kudos to you for being able to handle the labor-intensive upkeep of all that hair! I'm exhausted just watching this! Lumi is such a sweet boy.

Lumi is stunning, but Mushu is fun, curious, and smart. He was amazing in that older video where he followed your every move. I will miss him the most when you sell him. Wonder why you have decided to sell him.
@@nancyduncan5810 Shae has said enough times her mission is to train and teach the horses/ponies she buys then sell them to a good home. She will never sell Jiminey, Bagheera, Belle or Lumi plus most likely Ezzy, but the rest she does. Mushu is a sweetheart, but Shae has been riding him for a year now and obvs feels he is soon ready to find a great new home.😊

I saw an episode where Shea used avacado mist on her horses and i bought some to use on my dogs and my own hair! It is a great product and smells so nice!❤

Lumi is so handsome to be sure! But that was the best demonstration of what it takes to care for a horse like Lumi as well as showing how to use all the Mane-ly products. Shae, you are a methodical, caring and loving horse mama with knowledge to share ❤

Wow! he's really changed since he's been with you. He seems so content and loving and engaged. And his color has really deepened to a golden honey - is that a summer thing? With Lumi you need to order by the gallon - he has a stunning head of hair like his mom!
I think it’s a mix of summer, good nutrition, and proper grooming! He really is coming along and changing.

Tip: If you dilute your shampoo/conditioner in a bucket of water first, then pour over the hair the product distributes evenly without wasting so much product.
Yes but he really needed a super scrub!!! Normally I do dilute but his needed a hard core wash.
I think he really likes this. He stands so nice and so good. He is such a beautiful handsome guy. Look at how happy he is. He says you can skip the water but keep playing with my mane..😂❤
It seems that Lumi was really enjoying the massage when Shae was doing the conditioner and polisher applications. So relaxed, and he must love the attention.
Lumi’s Facial expressions are so cute! He can go from looking intimidating to a little baby. I love him.

Shae, I love how you introduce things to the horse by showing them what you are going to use on them. It's so considerate, which I believe horses appreciate. I love how they respond by acknowledging you showed them something new, as if to say OK, thank you for showing me first. I trust you. It's beautiful.

You could use one of those shampoo dispensing hose attachments next time to get the shampoo more evenly distributed throughout the mane especially 😊 like the ones used for dog grooming that are like a little canister that attaches to the hose.
It’s a game changer for my dogs and I’ll never go back! Great suggestion!

P. S. I hope you have some sunblock on your arms and shoulders, chest, Shae. You are very fair. What is known for skin types and how long it takes to burn, I would say by your coloring and the redness I see already, a Type II (2). Means you can burn in 15 minutes (redness not tanning, first). I know you know, but next time if, first thing in the morning after washing up, etc. put on lots of strong resistant Sun block before you go out.
I was thinking that too, I'm very pale as well and I know she probably takes care of that. It only takes a couple times sizzling to learn that lesson.
I do and I did. I also have rosacea and I turn red when I’m hot.

Yes, you have sensitive skin. I m sure you care for your sensitive skin as well as you care for horses’ sensitivities, your dog and pig and cat, as well as your dear husband. I have a sister is sensitive to rosacea too. It is a very uncomfortable skin issue, with a lot of redness. I was perturbed about your back being exposed the next day after the “pool party” sunburn. But I believe in your careful attention to detail. That’s what I love about your lipsticks. The soft, gentle, vegan, staying power that feels hypoallergenic on my lips. I have a Type II skin. Bc I have another sister who got melanoma on her back, but she is good now, I feel for that sensitivity. She was a Sun-worshipper too, but she also rode a lot with tank tops. Every burn accumulates in a lifetime. I m super cautious these days. One thing you do Shae, is you almost always wear some kind of hat protecting your face and scalp, when you do chores and go about your day. I need to do that more myself. Hey, you have a cap in your merchandise! I will be proud to wear that. 👍👍✌️✌️☮️💟🙏

Shae, the pool party for your horses was such a creative care idea! As you noted, your fair, unprotected skin suffered a burn. In the future, you may want to try SPF 50 clothing. There are a number of designs available - even items that are appropriate to wear in very high temperatures. Research suggests that sunburns on unprotected backs can potentially cause serious skin problems at a later date.
Yes, indeed! My friends and I didn't have sunscreen (wasn't developed yet!) when we were in grade school. And most of us have had skin cancer at least 1 time. And all have sun blemishes of 1 kind or another. Take advantage
of those sunscreens. You won't regret the time it takes to put it on.
I do. But you don’t understand how hot it was this week. I only got sunburned because I missed that spot on my back. I typically wear my riding sun shirts that I designed and they are long sleeved and provide sun protection.
Lumiere is such a good boy! Clearly washing is not his favourite thing (not like Ariel) but he is so patient and sweet. And during head massage and scratches... OMG his demeanor says it all. He LOVES it and he loves you! ❤️

That was totally impressive on how much you do with the prep work, first undoing all the braids, then the shampooing, conditioning, polishing, rinsing, combing, and finally putting all the braids back in ❤ WOW! You and Natalie did an excellent job. Thanks for sharing this with us 🌹💋

I even had friends try it out on their hair & loved it (they thought I was crazy for washing my hair with horse shampoo). I use it to bathe my dogs, I love how they smell like horses when I do 😃

Have you ever tried a two strand twist braid? They twist around each other. It pulls out tangle free and straighter than the three strand braids. I have had long hair for a long time and I know some braid short cuts.

I had a NASDH with a very thick mane. I used to split her mane to both sides and it was much easier to get it soaked, shampooed and rinsed. She didn't like water in her face either but I used a nozzle with the gentle shower option and she eventually didn't mind the water so much on her face. I also used a 3-step stool as I'm short and made it so much easier keep the water from running down my arms! Lol
The king always looks stunnging. But always make sunscreen your best freind Ms. Shae. No more sunburns. Drink plenty of water in this heat everyone.

He’s so Handsome a pure Film Star. If you did two continuous neck plaits with only two tails your life would be so much easier when it came to releasing it for washing 😄. You and Natalie have done a fantastic job in keeping his mane and tail from damage, well done both of you. Could you do a Hygiene video on the boys, so many owners neglect their boys needs in this area.

I don't usually like the hairy-legged, draft-type horse, but Lumiere is a different case, and I think he's gorgeous. Many years ago, I had a beautiful Arab mare whose mane was 3 feet long. I often used to put it in a Spanish braid, but leave her forelock free. Memories!
