Fluffy Little Clouds - Bouldering at Haycock Mountain

  • Originally called "Ronca's Traverse", the line didn't top out the boulder and instead traversed left. At some point, someone decided to top it out and the climb was renamed.
Regardless of where you choose to end it, "Fluffy Little Clouds" is certainly a must do for any new visitor to the mountain.

Interesting format! Kinda liked it as a supplement to trad videos.

Dude! I love this content!! It's so informative, and as a added bonus it gets me psyched to go climbing. Thank you, keep it up!

Smooth moves! Have to agree about the tick marks.. keep em small & brush them off when you're done!

That gear placement was really crap. What were you thinking?
Just had to make sure at least one gear placement critique was still in your comment section . 😁

@@FirstPersonBeta also, if you ever consider climbing in the Black Hills of South Dakota then I can hook you up. I've climbed all over the US and just love the Black Hills and have made it may home.

Love this. Actual beta. Its sweet. I love the full climb videos but just watch them in the background almost like a meditation or something. This was interesting to watch and play attention to.

Nice to see the first person and 3rd person angles. From the first person perspective it looked like a V2 and I was confused by the grade. But from the 3rd person perspective you can see just how big the moves are and how stretched out you are.

Bro you must be tall as hell. I've had like 5 more moves on that climb today and I'm 6'

You got that thing wired. Looked so smooth. Really like the format too.

How does you saying a move add anything to you doing the move?

Seems pretty height dependant. At 5'8" I definitely had to find another foot for that big left hand before the cross. You cruised it!

What a perfect, beautiful line on perfect stone. That looked like so much fun, sadly I'll probably never get to try it.

such a good problem. I first did it in the summer and that last move off the pinch was definitely the redpoint crux for me. Something about that sequence at the end there gave me a ton of trouble especially for the foot beta.

    • @FirstPersonBeta
      @FirstPersonBeta  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

The feet can be surprisingly tricky considering how much is available (my foot popped in video) but I suppose that's one those challenges with Diabase.

@@FirstPersonBeta agreed. I think one of my problems was having too many options for feet because id always forget what foot was best for me by the time I got to that section lmao
