- Hey Chalkers, I went to my physical this week. I’m aware, I needed to fast😞, and that I needed to have my blood drawn. The nurse is setting up to draw my blood
Bad side: why she have all these vials, she don’t know we anemic and we need to conserve every drop
Nurse: what arm to you prefer me to use
Bad side: yours
Me: it doesn’t matter. I would prefer a butterfly needle, I have small veins, that roll, they like to play hide and seek, and will end up playing Houdini! Please if you stick me, and the vein move, please don’t keep stabbing me with needle thinking your going to get
Nurse: ( giving me side eye). I know what I’m doing, don’t worry
Bad side: she lying, and don’t even know it
(Nurse pokes me, and then starts moving the needle all around in there)
Nurse: the vein just disappeared, let me look at your other arm
Bad side: she don’t listen, we told her it does a straight up Houdini act
( she pokes me two more times and still hasn’t got any blood)
Nurse: maybe we should try a butterfly needle
Bad side: no 3 strikes your out, she must think are rass is a voodoo doll! We going to be sporting bruises tomorrow as it is
Me: no thank you, is the Phlebotomist in
Nurse: ( she looking offended) let me go see
Bad side: do that!
Phlebotomis: which arm do you want me to use
Bad side: yours!

the one time that happened to me, I was up at MEPS and severely dehydrated. Didnt have water for a couple of days and when it was time to do bloodwork, my veins were a no show. I was poked 5 or 6 times in one arm and 4 in the other before the nurse was able to get blood drawn. -10/10 experience 🤣 but beautiful crushes! i loved this very much ❤️

My veins dont come to the surface. Its the same thing every time. I always get asked ' oh, do you have a problem with your veins?' when its evident i have, as they cant find them. They ALWAYS have to call in a pro 😂 and i walk away with about 6 bruises.

When I went for the second dose of covid vaccine, the nurse there was just busy in talking 🤠 she was giving injections as if she's inserting it in idk what. When it was my turn, she straightly picked up the vaccine and inserted like a pencil, fr! My arm started paining the time she vaccinated me! I was so angry at her and then told to my mom afterwards. My mom said that she noticed that too and that she should've inserted it diagonally. And I remember when I went for the first dose, the nurse was so sweet as if I'm a small baby. She asked my name.... and within that gave me the vaccine. I was like woah what did just happen now- I couldn't feel anything in my arm that time! Lol. Some nurses be really- they be even taking a glass of blood just for their multiple tests but boy, the patient is already suffering-

😶🤕eeeekk that must have been very painful, I'm not afraid of needles but stabbing a million times because you can't see the vein or the veins disappeared?! Wtf! get your eyes checked😒 or first at least find the vein and only then stab the needle😐
I remember this last year I was anaemic and my haemoglobin went from around 13 to 6.2 and they would take 5-6 different samples of my blood even after knowing I was anaemic! Like I have same blood running in my body, one sample would have been enough but you choose to make me go from 6.2 to 0 with that pace😑
