It definitely helped with the rich exhaust smell, but not immediately. I think it might take a bit for the computer to adjust it's fuel trim levels etc. It also may have taken a while to burn out some residual stuff in the exhaust system. I do feel like the gas mileage is a little better, but I also replaced the spark plugs and air filter and cleaned the throttle body and MAF sensor around the same time which probably helped out as well. Supper nice video Dan. My only suggestion is do not run a tap thru the nuts that hold the sensor. These nuts are purposely tight. The original nuts are special, they are called “jet nuts” or “metal locking nuts”. If you look closely at a new nut from Toyota, they are split on the trailing end and are slightly oval. This endures they stay tight, event under vibration. Jet nuts are superior to a regular nut with lock washer, and are used in high temperature applications like jet engines.
Thanks for the recommendations, that tool to remove a stripped nut is great! I’m buying today. Great video. I’m a proud owner of a 1996 lx450
Thank you for the video! Everything I was seeing so far said to remove the exhaust…which I was really dreading! 1994 Land Cruiser
@@MJ-ex8dl good luck with it! If you can soak it with PB Blaster ahead of time, that might help…
@@DantheFixitMan just clicked your link to order and Amazon says they don’t fit a 1994? Maybe there’s a difference btw the 93-94 and 95-97?
@@MJ-ex8dl I’m not sure on that 100%, but I would double check on the denso website to make sure.
Hi Dan, my exhaust also smelling a little rich. Did the O2 sensor change improve the smell and hopefully gas mileage? Thanks for the video!

Are those the same to the 1994 land cruiser?
