Per the Akans calendar, if you were born Friday, your birthday must always fall Friday. So from Sunday to Sunday is one week. That's what they use to calculate the adea days such as awukudae, akwasidae etc.
The 8th day is the day that starts the week. Example, if the week starts on Tuesday, the next Tuesday is 8th day. But not any different day with different name
