That is so kind! TYSM!! I didn't know this pretty lady was in the works...I missed out on the Jane Davenport machines. So, when I saw this on pre-order, I was ready to jump...then I got. notice from Spellbinders they would be sending me one...and was totally beside myself with happiness!!! Yay! Believe it or not, the only reason I bought this is because my Critcut maker doesn’t do embossing. I understand it does debossing, but it so confusing. I literally just got this yesterday, so I appreciate your video very much! Thank you!

I’m glad to see you got this new die cutter from spellbinders. I myself have the original platinum 6 from years ago and I’m quite happy with it because I’m a big fan of the very thick 3-D embossing folders from Tim Holtz/Sizzix/Stampin’ Up!. Now, clearly Spellbinders’s have changed the thickness for the plates, because on the original versions we had to get a separate embossing plate, different from the one with which it comes. We had to buy it separately to use the 3-D folders successfully.
I did want to purchase another of these when the Jane davenport special model was introduced. that model didn’t have flowers, which made me happy, but had a beautiful teal color and was more a sea/mermaid fantasy. It came with gorgeous colored plates; I talked myself out of it, and eventually it was discontinued.

MINE MINE, ALL MINE!!! Can't wait for mine to come in. I think I may have to finally retire "Old Faithful," my Big Shot I've had for over 10 years. I have the black and pink one. It was my first one. Wow, these look so pretty! Too bad I don't need another cutting machine right now. I'm enjoying the Tangerine I got a couple months ago, and the evolution that I started with. I have to say that I really like the fact that it folds away, and that I can change the pressure of the machine. I hope I won't need to look into another machine any time soon since the two I have right now are working just fine. Thank you for showing this very pretty version of a wonderful machine.

I love my Platinum 6 machine! I got the colorful Jane Davenport machine before it retired. It's so portable. I'm going for the full size Platinum next, even though I have the Gemini. Sometimes you just need a hand crank machine...
I know, it seems I'm back to hand cranks!! My electronic machines have been moved further away from me on my table...and may be completely removed next! LOL!! I loooooved the Jane Davenport one, it's so pretty!

Good review Vianney. I love the color and flowers. As stated previously, I own the larger one and appreciate being able to cut larger dies. My DP Marquise and Big Shot are my go to favorites as well.

Very pretty machine. Reminds me of my Cuttlebug that I finally gave away when I got the Gemini. I still have a Big Shot that I use quite a bit so I don't need this. I use my Marquise for everything else. :)

I just opened mine today and I love it! I feel like it's going to cute easier than my Bigshot. But I just tried the dies that came with it but it cut it so cleanly. And I have the Glimmer Hot Foil Machine that I think it will work better with. I don't know whether to keep my Bigshot or try and sale it as I have the BigShot plus also.
Really is a nice looking die machine. But I have enough, it would be redundant to get another. But if you don’t have one this looks like a good one.

Good video. I'm getting back to crafting after many years so I'm a bit out of the loop with these machines. I'm having so much trouble with using embossing folders. I'm following instructions but the sandwich is too thick and does not go through. Does this machine only accept Spellbinders embossing folders? I have a lot of Anna Griffin embossing folders which I thought worked with all machines.
Hmmm, it does take pretty much every brand of folders. I use my Anna ones int here all the time, and I usually have to add two card stock shims to get the thickness of the sandwich right...it sounds like you're saying it's too thick. That seems weird. The sandwich should be a cutting plate, the folder with paper in it, then the base plate. Are you trying to use two cutting plates?
Does this machine have a CA Prop 65 warning?
That's a great question. I live in CA and it wasn't on mine, I don't see one listed on the site. I don't know that that is a guarantee, but usually the warning will be there with me just looking on the site.
Saw this when it first came out. LOVE LOVE the color but since it works just like my Big Shot I can't justify the purchase😢😭😭
