Last guy getting killed during the baptism was the other powerful godfather family, Barzini, falling from those steps.
Tattaglia was the one shot in bed sleeping with a hooker.

Definitely do Part 2; it's essentially two movies in one; I believe it's equal to Part 1. I didn't really get a feel for Part 3, because I found some of it confusing.

34:09 I don't know what happened to Sollozzo's driver, but Micheal made it out without having any problems with him. Maybe Clemenza was waiting there.

I really enjoy the interplay between Tom Hagen and Woltz; Tom has learned from his adoptive father to always keep his composure without resorting to histrionics or even profanity. Both Don Vito and Mr Woltz are powerful men in their industries, but Woltz has absolutely no class.
This franchise was turned into a really compelling video game, as well. Your character gets to take part in the most iconic scenes of the movie. If you want to try it, look for the 'Don's Edition.' which has more open territory and missions.
Enzo is the boy who works for the baker which the baker asked Don Vito to pull strings to prevent his being repatriated to Italy. He's not part of the Business, illustrated by how badly his hands are shaking after the hospital episode.

Yes, do all three movies. This series is one of the best ever put to film. Absolute masterpieces. It’s really the saga of Michael from beginning to end.

The song that the mother and the old man sing at the wedding is pretty bawdy. Basically, a girl wants to get married and asks her mother to find her a husband. The mother is wondering what kind of husband she should find. “If I find a carpenter, he’ll nail you. If I find a plumber, he’ll lay some pipe.” Lyrics like that.

The movie is set during the time just after world War 2. The style of the clothing and the cars let you know which decade the story is taking place in.

The director decided to hire local actors from new york. One of the men who was cast from the New York casting call was Abe Vigoda, who played Tessio. He had done a few stage plays but had never played on Broadway. This movie marked the turning point in his career.

Marlon Brando's Godfather make up was done by Dick Smith, who is arguably the best Hollywood makeup artist. He had a special appliance built for the Marlin. Brando's lower jaw so that brando did not have to wear foam rubber appliances on his face or sit for hours having his make-up done.

Yeeeeeeee! I can't believe I missed this! The #1 Libnaani reactor reacting to one of my favorite movies of all time! 😜 Lol. Seriously though, I've noticed that reactors of a non-Western/American background are sooooo much more sympathetic to the Corleone family than American viewers.... At the very least, it's hard not to respect the devotion to family....
Can't wait to see your reaction to part 2, Habibi! I hope you and your family are doing well and are safe.... ❤️ from Texas!

man rant ahead, but ur interpretation of don Vito's death f'd me up😭 "he wanted to spend time w his grandchild & feel like a child again before dying". when u see the 2nd movie, which in my opinion it's fuckin BETTER than even this masterpiece, it'll hit deeper💔 cool reaction!! u caught the family's dynamics great. in the movies & books, it's strongly hinted that Fredo is like that, mentally challenged or neurodivergent, bc of a prolonged illness as a baby, which damaged his brain. i'll never get over the bubbling rage under Michael's calm stance, when Moe Green dropped that dumbassery of "Fredo needs a smack sometimes, I just need to straighten him out". The calm, deadly way Mike answers "You straighten my brother out?". u just KNOW Moe's virtually dead & done for. and consiglieri Tom!! he's an adoptive brother, though Vito never gave him his last name out of "respect" for his (abusive, dead) parents. it was Sonny who got him out the streets when they were children & brought him in like a stray lmao. Sonny/Tom's dynamics are my fave, theyre SO close especially in the books, he's the only one who can yell at sonny (& they hug tight when Tom's free from his kidnappers!), though the other siblings never tire of reminding Tom he's just an adopted stray, in rather cruel ways i should say. they're all criminal & far from perfect, which for example speaks of the... "old-timey, traditional way" in which they treated Connie's abusive marriage situation, never interfering, unlike Sonny. godd i could go on abt this family but wanted to keep this spoiler free😭 can't wait for the next part!

A prequel as well as a sequel, for a reason. See the original Godfather's story as well as Michael's as the trilogy goes forward.

The story line takes place 40s movie made in 1972.people didn't dress like that in the 70s

    • @jaysverrisson1536

Notwithstanding the clothes, I've always thought the hairdressers for this film should have been arrested for the numerous period-inappropriate hairstyles in evidence. Sonny, for example, is sporting a totally '70s men's hairdo, as are some of the other guys (and women) in the film. Unfortunately, this is common Hollywood (mal)practice, as film makers are often unwilling to go with full, historically accurate hair and/or clothes in period films, especially for the lead actors, for fear it would be unflattering. I find this immensely distracting, but at least for this film, I do my best to suspend disbelief and ignore the bad hair or other anachronistic details!

Paulie is was a traitor - he called in sick so Solozzo's men could shoot Don Vito. Enzo was the baker's son that was in the first scene with his father who wanted Vito to help him get married. The lighter is important because Enzo's hand was shaking, but Michael notices his is steady - he realizes he can handle sitautions like that calmly. Vito with his grandson teases him by acting like a monster - which he is.
Are you OK? You were picking at your skin and hair the entire video. I enjoyed your reaction.

Godfather Part 2 is as good (if not better than) this film. It continues the storyline of Michael and gives you the backstory of Vito Corleone (Michael's Father).

This movie portrait the history of the states of america and the contribution of Italian immigrants. Nothing more nothing less. Only the truth. So with these FACTS of "history" do one think or believe Italians would be the most who are stopped and searched by the police? Oh, dear I almost forgot that the mafia build las vegas. Aint that a cute and precious thing?
