Hey i just wanted to let you know how amazing you are. honestly, i always thought i was the only one struggling with this. I couldnt find a single person around me who really understood what this was like. Sometimes just thinking about my scalp problems really affects my mood and makes me feel down about myself, but you have inspired me to keep on trying and not give up. You’ve made me feel less alone. So i rly wanna take some time to thank you for posting these videos and building a community that i feel safe in. Wish u all the best :)💜💜
Omg!! This comment 🥰🥰🥰 I love it so much. Thank you for taking the time to watch and to comment. I really hope you keep trying new things - the derm REALLY helped me a lot. Maybe even look into your diet to see if that helps any. Some days/weeks are worse than others, but don’t let this rule your world. 😘🤍🤎🤍🤎🤍
Omg when I first got it I honestly though it was a miracle. I just feel like it was so striping after so many uses. So, now I just use it sparingly. Luckily it doesn’t cost too much. 🤗🤗
My daughter has the same issue. I use it on her scalp only and coat her hair with a very moisturizing shampoo to keep it from being so drying. I use a spray bottle and add very little water, so that I can spray it directly on her scalp.
If someone is struggles with dandruff that is not due to psoriasis: Washing hair only 1-2 times a week instead of regularly washing hair is a major CAUSE of dandruff and dry hair/breakage issues. Not washing regularly causes excess oils. The excess oils cause excess bacteria called Malassezia that leaves behind oleic acid. Oleic acid causes skin cells to renew faster and build up. In addition to the excess bacteria, dead skin cells remain on the scalp & build up when the scalp is not regularly washed. And I can’t imagine that all of the buildup of oil, dead skin cells, and yeast like bacteria smells good. Better quality conditioners and leave in treatments are the answer to dry hair, not bad hygiene. Ketaconzale shampoo is great OTC shampoo that is anti fungal /anti yeast and will work quickly to clear up the bacteria and dandruff, and will clean excess oil like regular shampoos. It takes a few washes, but most scalps will greatly benefit from better hygiene!! (Disclaimer: I am not medical practitioner)
It is easy to call it Dandruff (flakes due to dirt!), but could it be Seborrheic Dermatitis or Psoriasis? Yeast overgrowth - Like an actual Pathological process rather than ' not washing hair!'. Like if you washed your hair every 2 days - this would still happen as it is to do with your scalp overly proliferating? Just curious. I get dandruff if i dont wash my hair for 3 weeks - but i dont have an actual disease - SO am guessing there is a difference.
Thanks for asking! I may have mentioned it in this or other scratching videos, but I do have Psoriasis of the scalp as diagnosed by a dermatologist and I do get prescribed medications that i feel are harsh on my hair type. So, yes those are flakes/scales due to that and you are absolutely correct - even if I was able to wash my hair every 2 days it would flake/scale in some capacity unless I am utilizing all of my medicated shampoos, oils and lotions (gets expensive).
I’m loosing it up off of my scalp so it’s easier to wash it out and clean the scalp. I have scalp issues so this really helps me. If I didn’t do it I would have a lot of flakes even after the wash. Thanks for asking! 🫶🏾
I struggle with scalp issues too and my husband has recently nicknamed me Dandruff 🤣. I feel like I’ve used products that have helped but nothing really made the flakes go away. I feel like mine is more of an issue of my scalp drying out after washes though so I have been considered trying cowashes or really moisturizing shampoos on the weeks my hair is isn’t super dirty (it never really is tbh) just to see if that helps. I hope we both find a way to solve our issues 😊
Not him nicknaming you dandruff lol (sorry Sis, had to laugh at that one). I agree - my scalp gets super flakey (quicker) when my scalp is dry, like when I blow dry. I know it’s hard running thru so many kinds of shampoos/products to see which ones work - we just have to keep trying!! 🫶🏾🫶🏾
@@Ty_Monia loll all good, I laugh too 😂. And yeah, it can be a bit of a drag but we’ll get there! I’m starting to look more internally though. A lot of things are caused by diet so maybe something we’re intaking is causing/ contributing to it
Lol maybe my newer video would be more satisfying. Waaayy less talking and more scratching for a longer time. This Was The Worst | Unbelievable Scratching th-cam.com/video/lBE_b85sJLY/w-d-xo.html
Do you have anyone that can scratch your hair? I hate the “solo scratching “ videos.. Because you can’t properly get all of your dandruff out yourself. & You have a good amount of dandruff & That defeats the purpose. You have beautiful hair & Great flakes lol. & you can watch your hair several times & your hair will still have flakes. So, maybe your next video you can try it. It will satisfy us & you lol.
Unfortunately I don’t have anyone to scratch for me lol. I get what y’all are saying about having someone else do it - I would like that too lol. Thank you!! 🥰

New sub! Girl this hair! ❤
Aww thank you!! 🥰🥰
I also scratch my scalp with a comb like that before washing my hair
It just feels necessary lol. My mom/dad also used to do it for me when I was a child. 🥰
@@Ty_Monia My mom did the same. Before she washed my hair, she would always scratch my scalp and it would feel so good.
So glad you posted a new video 🎉

I got that exact same shampoo 😂😊

Hopefully you do longer scratch videos. Beautiful hair
I honestly thought I overdid it in this video - didn’t want to scare anyone off lol. I can do longer ones in the future. 👍🏾
Take a vitamin d&k2 ❤
I didn’t understand what you were doing with the comb and the dandruff, we’re you combining it out or making it loosen from the scalp to wash it out?

U should get anti dandruff
First off u have goregous hair. What exactly is your scalp condition. Psoriasis, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis?
Thank you! Psoriasis of the scalp.
Beautiful hair, try getting someone to lift the dandruff for you.
Thank you! 🤎🤍
how did you grow your hair so long
Well, I did the big chop in 2014. However, it got bra/back length back in 2017/2018.
You need to scratch it better...still a lot left behind. 😊
