If the dev team is constantly making things better why does there also seem to be some hate out there about it being a dying game? Im new would love to get into things just not sure bout current state compared to past would be awesome for an update video
I find it funny that some are complaining about this update... And one of their biggest concerns is not being able to spam WA blades xD Looks great though, glad Bo got a lot of love with this.
They changed the active skills function to shoot off photon blades while doing PAs to compensate for not being able to spam it. Overall it's a net possitive since you're still doing better dps with it active. Not to mention the TA customization options are great for SB
I return to this game because of the change. I main SB Bo in my pso2 day and I hate how SB play in ngs be4 renewal, now I'm glad it back to be my main again.
So seems like the revamp was mainly for SB? Any significant changes to JB and how they operate more specific than the patch notes saying "functionality changes"?
We got the framework for the old weapon action looking forward to being able to tech/PA cancel with it again to zip around in the air in the future much like we are able to in base🤞

I think this should have been called Soaring Blades Renewal lol :v I am happy for Soaring Blades but quite disappointed at the treatment Jet Boots got. Sure, some potency increase is good but... definitely not what solve core gameplay issues. I still hold some hope for a fix meant for JB mechanics, but it's become very unlikely to ever happen. I will most likely start using SB more, after focusing on Jet Boots for a very long time. Sad, but it is what it is.
The execution was preem fam, im tryna get on this level but my rotation is trash rn 😂😂I’m a fi main so dps wise I still think Bo deserves to be up there with the fi in dps output BUT I’m thoroughly enjoying these changes! I was selling flugal jbs for 150mil.. but I took them off the market to test the changes and might stick with them for abit. It’s very fun
why is it so dark tho? that aside, I as a bo SB main, am satisfied. The combo-wombos, wa, shield, and pa changes......... I hope that weapons like knux and rod will get a similar treatment.

Hmmm...does every BO player focus on single style or use hybrid styles? Because I try solo using soaring and feel kinda off if I don't combo with JB skills.
I've got multiple trees unlocked for each class (aside slayer) for each of the weapon set ups that I use. For fighter I've got 3 trees and Bo has 2 for example. The weapons are def made more for strict use (Just SB or just JB) where as hybrid is indeed an option, you're losing out on active/recharge skills like Pinion blade.
Hybrid weapon set ups work better for classes that have less active skills or don't rely on a specific skill for a certain of their weapons. Like Fi, you can comfortably multi-wep any of it's 3 weapons and/or swap between the 3 with ease, only thing you'd drop via hard swapping is doublesabre's whirlwind
From my testing, it really just depends on what kinda attack you're trying to dodge. Can you get through it by just using a certain PA's I frame to let it pass? Use WA to guard and counter attack it? Or dodge and go for the gap closer on your target? SB has great survivability options now and feels much smoother than before. (Also almost of the entire slide from the WA is an I frame, and it persists until part way through the NA follow up)
The active skill that increases your photon blade count too (forget the name atm) also got changed slightly. They balanced it out alongside the changes to WA so that you also get passive photon blade projectiles as you use your PAs. This is great because now you get boosted DPS during PA rotations versus the ol' press it and spam WA for dps. It had no utility for PAs until now and it's amazing
@Sol-ev6dv The weapon is more counter focused than personal execution focused. Squeezing in WAs where you could gave a lot of PP economy and extra damage. They didn't rebalance PAs for the loss in damage on WA weaving. I went from 5600 on Solus to 4800.
Honestly this Bouncer renewal may have just made me a Bouncer/SB main. The PAs look and feel FANTASTIC, and the counter is just *chefs kiss*.

sb stopped feeling like an awkward mix of bouncer and etoile and started feeling like an incredibly fun mix of bouncer and etoile

Can be anything in your preference tbh. Most go Slayer sub for the extra Crit rate without a verschmelz weapon.

I honestly hate the SB changes. Its cool, but it just isn't the weapon I grew to like anymore.
