    In this video I install a window into the man door of my new enclosed trailer. I use this trailer as a toy hauler when we go camping so it is nice to be able to get some natural light inside during the day and peek out if you hear something.

    Why is there a small battery located near the tongue ? Thx

    • @Tyler_Koehn
      @Tyler_Koehn  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm assuming you are referring to your trailer. More than likely you have trailer breaks. The battery is for in the event your trailer disconnects from your tow vehicle the breakaway wire gets pulled and it will use the battery to actuate the brakes.

      @@Tyler_Koehn Yes I discovered that you are correct. Im sure my battery is dead because trailer has been sitting for years. I did read that state police could possibly test that if you are pulled over….thx

    Thanks for the vid. Been contemplating a window in the door as my passenger side behind it will be taken up by murphy bed. Could the inside ring flange have been cut to make for less depth, instead of adding the wood trim ?

    • @Tyler_Koehn
      @Tyler_Koehn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No problem John! For this window because the depth is for the built in window shade to slide in it would not be possible. I think the door is a great spot for it as no wall real estate is lost! Thanks for watching!

    I bought the exact window for my trailer. So, do you feel you should have gone alittle thinner on the shim? I didnt realize there would be a thickness issue when I ordered it.

    • @Tyler_Koehn
      @Tyler_Koehn  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there, yea I guess I just assumed it would be adjustable. No, I'm pretty sure what I did was the minimum in order for the window to grab properly.

  • @RayzGarage

    • @Tyler_Koehn

      This window has a built in curtain. Not sure how it could be backwards as the curtain would be on the outside.

    I had the same issues with a doggie door installation on my home. After I used the template, I realized the thickness of the door was insufficient. I had to replace the entire door and find another doggie door. Basically, the manufacturer lied about the product.

    Why would you not insulate your door? A chain is only as strong as its weakest link the same applies with insulation

    • @Tyler_Koehn
      @Tyler_Koehn  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Walls in the trailer are not insulated either. Only the ceiling. This was not a crazy trailer build. Ac keeps up without a hiccup in 95deg weather. If this was a end game trailer for me I would have stripped it down and insulated it all. But not when it's only used 6 times a year for camping
