Khao = rice, Moo = pork or pig and Krob = crispy The chinese stuffs in the market are used in many occasions, not only new year, but the shirts you've talked about is actually made from paper, like those paper bank notes that you've seen people burnt them. Because they believe that's the way to send money and things to their passed relatives for them to spend or use in the after life.
