I'm born gay, but I will never put my self in the stage as a perfect woman. I love the answer of marigona.
And gay is different to a transgender woman which are perceived as woman too as backed by scientist. Transgender woman perceived themselves as woman in the way they think, the way they act, the way they live whereas gays do not. Gays are categorized as people who are sexually attracted to men. While transgenders are people who feel they are living in a wrong body. The bottomline of what I'm saying, don't compare gays and transgenders because they are different from each other.

It's so sad seeing that Gays have this kind of mindset. Gays are part of the LGBTQIA+, we should have known better compare to hets. Just because we are able to indulge at some point the treatment that we want, doesn't mean that we have to leave the interest of the people in community. What transgenders need is different from what the Gays. They are not the same. And the Gays should know that, and support that. Marigona is eloquent but lacks sympathy. Plus, at some point, he's advocating an opinion of a transphobic. He's gay but does not advocate the welfare of his transgender brothers/sisters? Make it make sense. He's just selfish. Yes we have different opinion, but we cannot accept an opinion that steps on someone's life and right. And for the last time, transgender women ARE WOMEN.

And that's the difference between a cis man or woman with a transgender person, they consider themselves the opposite of what they were born as regardless of their physical appearance. So the difference is, kung sasali ang babae or lalake na straight sa gay pageant, that would be considered wrong because they don't consider thmselves gay, pero kung sasali ang transgender sa pageant for women, because they consider themselves as women, pwede. And don't you get it, there shouldn't be a limitation in terms of women who identify as women joining pageants like MU. And yan ang Agenda ng MU, to deminish that boundary, to represent 'every woman' in the world. Oo, there is a qualification, and obviously, miss spain is qualified. She is beauiful, she is smart, she identify as women. And Oo, the LGBT community is fighting for equality and their rights. They know their limitation and they respect the limitation of others. Let's talk about the advantages, privileges, manipulation, and abuse of MEN to women and other genders throughout the years, and how the LGBT people still dies from abuse from by other genders up until to this day, so don't compare the limitations of the LGBT to other Genders. Learn about that, so that you know why the LGBT community and women are fighting for their rights.
What about those masculin boy and wore shirts like a real man but considered theirselves as a woman? Would they be qualified? I don't think so. Know your limitations about considering yourself in gender. Are you a transwoman, never had a problem with that however you are just TRANS and not a REAL woman period.

Answering question of this kind under unfathomable pressure & time contraints almost knocked me down. As I red the question twice, it only requires me to agree, not to disagree. As opposed & congruent to what was only asked, I switched my response based on what I believed in, & what I essentially felt was right. I meant no harm if I poured insult to Transwomen fighting for the bill of rights. I collated my thought based on principles taught by my mentors. Moreover, I looped into same direction on what people sees was right & not on what was asked to agree if I bet to disagree. Thank you, Madlang People!!! 😘
You answered it very right... We should respect women's right about pageantry... We can create our own pageant that we can showcase whoe we are, what we can do without overtaking women's right... Sometimes we need to pause of thinking that we are but we are not naturally born women.. We can be as pretty, sexy or even more than that to a women but we cannot deny the fact that we are naturally born men..

They missed the point of marigona, it does not mean that you feel like a women, you act like a women and joining a pageant solely intended for natural born women will give you the equality. It is more like an acknowledgement or social acceptance that you are women. There is a specific avenue for everything, we set certain guidlines in order to have a credibility. If granting transgender women to join pageant solely intended for natural born women invokes equality, then it safe to assume that everyone is free to join on any pageantry regardless if the criteria is being met, as long as you feel the same way as the pageant itself. We all are equal but not on the same levels, specific attributes defines our gender, and each genders have spicific roles. I am not against on any transgender but as she says "respect begets respect" and where should we start? We should respect that if the pageant is meant for natural born women then it should be, feeling like a women does not justify the core values of a natural born women pageantry. Lets not assert equality on areas define by specific pageants while we also ask for respect. 😁
REX I think..... last year the candidate for the miss universe coming from Spain is a transgender so I guess it is ok now to join the miss universe as long as your trans and not gay.
@@shaineharefa.4712 yes, indeed it was a transgender women who represented Spain that time. That leads to a debate among the pageant organizer. There was no rule that a transgender women is not allowed to represent a country. One of the reason why Ms. Spain was allowed to participate. Even if it has no written rules or guidlines that limits only to natural born women, the important is we have to respect the platform. The creation of miss universe was not only for fame and glamour, back in the day it serves as a way to have a voice in a society dominated by men. I know it was a struggle for someone who identify their self as a woman living in a man's body. But we have to be supportive to these natural born women to establish more voice and reach the equality that we all wish for. Let us not take this kind of opportunity to those young girls who aspires to be. It is morally fitting that we leave the competition solely for natural born women hence, it was created for them.

And if I am not mistaken, a transgender wanted to join the pageant (not sure about the right name but it sounds like Jena Kurkova) but Trump said he will allow Jena to join if criteria are met and one of them, must be naturaly born woman.

I believe Marigona is correct.. and insisting the idea of letting transgenders join pageants for natural women isn't about equality.. I think it's more like covering up their insecurities. I don't see any point why they have to mix it up..If I were a transgender and I'm gorgeous , talented and confident, I don't have to prove myself that I'm a woman by competing with Natural women..I don't need to gain society's approval for who I am and what I'm not..thats all..I adore you Marigona for this, I can see your beauty within you..super!

I may be pretty late for this but I completely agree with Marigona. I am gay and I believe transgenders should not compete in Ms Universe. Yeah you may think na ganito ang aking POV bc I am not a transgender but I, myself also wish that I was born as a girl. But life isnt perfect and we just have to deal with it. I think lgbtq+ have come so far na I can say people are very accepting and welcoming. I like how Marigona said that we should just make a separate pageant para sa mga Trans, like let’s not be selfish, ibigay na natin ung Miss U sa mga natural born women. Kc weve been craving equality, equality, equality, when sometimes we overlooked things and we end up being greedy. Like Marigona said, we’re overtaking some things that we shouldnt be overtaking. You are very smart! For how many years been man ruling the world, this century is the opportunity to over power women's right when men let us (as a woman) to do what they do. I mean, I love gay people I have relatives and friends, but thinking about for like how many years na nag rurule ang mga lalaki back in 19th century or earlier mapapaisip ka na why would some gay have a mindset to overtake the pageant when in fact this is the chance for every women to express their logic. I mean back in 18th and 19th century some women was not allowed to take a higher education because some freaky MEN think women don't have the capability to take it. Then now, world is giving a chance to show how women response in actual situation. We can show that not only men has a logic ideas, because I believed that being intelligent is a gift not by a gender.

@@pcts5600 but the truth is it was, it was a pageant for cis women, but not a anymore. Proven by what happened in 2018, a transwomen was able to join Miss Universe. It was decided, encouraged, and celebrated by the MU organization. Miss Universe isn't about the facade of a women anymore, it is about showcasing womenhood in all forms. It is about being a"woman", having the gender of a "woman".

@@pcts5600 I understand your point of view, but situations like this which the organization is progressing and pushing inclusivity is, I believe, not just a matter of publicity but more of a form of progress. The MU organization is pushing for inclusivity for all sorts of women, because contestants from MU, as I've said, are more than just a facade, they represent and stand for something that they believe is worth fighting for, they stand for womanhood. After all, MU isn't no longer a pageant for just women, it's a pageant for womanhood. And since the MU organization considers and recognized these transwomen as women, who embodies womanhood, that the MU is looking for, it's just justified and fair to include them. Natural born women will not be dehado, because, again, it's a pageant for all sorts of women, and trans women needs representation for the type of women they are.

Based on how Marigona answers the question, he(she) has shown to everyone what wisdom is. Accepting ones reality is a way to achieve happiness. If anyone wants to experience equality, he or she has to understand and exercise equality.

I’m pretty sure there’s a massive, MASSIVE difference between transgender people entering beauty contest and athletes taking drugs, so that’s out. Next transgender aren’t saying at all that it’s all about them, they just want to participate in something that allows them to compete. Btw some Beauty contestants do surgery, I was going to say most but people might get angry. If a natural born women loses to a transgender women then it’s obvious she doesn’t deserve to win its a beauty contest don’t blame it on transgender women that you lost just because your weren’t as pretty as you thought you were. and if you say yeah but transgender women get surgery, yeah they do get surgery but a transitioning means changing your genitalia not your face. They still have the same face as before.

I love marigona's answer, both in terms of context and conviction. Tama sya in saying na pwede naman magexcel ang isang tramsgender na kandidata sa isang pageant for the transgenders. She doesnt need to prove herself sa pageants for naturally born women. Also, i support the thought of limitations. We are already seen and heard, and i think thats enough, which makes it unecesaary and parang over naman na to speak your voice in a platform meant for a certain group.

To Rianne, not every belief should always be justified as right in various scenarios because there are some principles and laws that we need to preserve so as to emphasize respect and acceptance. Miss Universe is solely created for pure women. Natural born women and so that very fact is already a substantial proof that we need to respect and adhere genuinely. Thus, equality doesn’t always equate to EVERYTHING literally rather Equality equates to everyone in a sense we need not to overlook/disregard the established laws and principles of one’s organization or society even if we have different beliefs/ideals in general.
