Become rooted

Anything that grows in soil has to have roots. So when you put a plant into soil, it will take come time for the roots to become embedded firmly and to be held securely. When storms come and winds blow, when heavy rains fall, if the root is firm and embedded deep enough, it will not be affected by harsh weather.
