My Dad, would have loved your videos. He loved making train layouts, building his own buildings, and landscapes, and Civil War battle diaramas. He was always looking for ways to make things look more realistic.
Thank you Linda! I remember being fascinated by my grandfathers train table when I was a child. It's another part of miniatures that is so cool! Thank you for sharing with me💖
I'm shocked! ;-P You know, most people do not actually look at/for electric outlets but it would sort of look even stranger if they weren't THERE so this is a nice addition to the project.
This is so cool very creative...my husband watches abandoned houses n such on youtube and ive noticed a lot of them have phones off the hook...that would look cool on an old round table.
Oh yes what a fantastic idea!!!! or one of those handset ones with the spiral chord and it could be hanging off the hook down the wall! Thank you for the suggestion!! :) -Ara
I sit here and watch you create with plain white paper and then when you finish I’m still blown away as to HOW you did it!!! I adore the details!!! I’m wondering if the window would have glass in it and broken pieces laying around on the floor. I suggest using clear hard plastic packaging for it. I get so excited when you’ve released a video!! When I can’t watch it for a while, like this one, I pout. Thank you so much for sharing!!!💙
Thanks Leslie you always leave the sweetest comments :) I do plan to add some glass and will have to figure out the best way to do it. I may try that in my next live stream (but don't hold me to it).... I will have to decide if I think you guys will be able to see what I am doing well enough...
Well done! Do you measure a real size object and divide it by 10 or 12 in order to get the miniature size or do you eye-ball it! That electrical box looked perfect!
Good Afternoon Ara, "SUGGESTION TIME" ● Little bits of grass around the tree, through some title close to the tree area, as well as a spot here and there against the brick wall especially where bricks have fallen away with weathered time. ● A rusty water faucet outside on the brick wall.~ You could use glue or a prism for the water droplet dripping from the faucet. ● A rusty breaker box on the outside brick wall. ● A broken light switch around the phone area. ● A broken stopped clock with some recycled sturdy clear plastic to cover dial area. ● If I understood you correctly there will be a sink for water and when they cleaned the cups...So, you could simulate fallen ceiling with perhaps~yep you guessed it...Egg Shells. ● Oh Ara how about when you get your spider web in and an itsy bitsy spider in place~ how about a itsy bitsy spider egg or eggs... I hope you enjoyed the ideals as much as I did for mine, I've just started to follow along with you... Have a wonderful day today Ara... ~Dawn from Pearland, Texas
Thank you for this awesome list! A few of these have been mentioned already but definitely some new ideas here I will keep in mind!! Esp the water faucet for the outside of the shop. It will be visible so I need to make sure not to neglect it :) If you have instagram or facebook feel free to post and tag me so I can see how your project is coming along as well! Instagram you can tag me @bentleyhouseminis. Thank you Dawn! Have a lovely week!
really great - i just love the amount of detail in the distressed wallpaper. the sockets was a great idea/addition and really added character to the piece so that was a great observation by a viewer. I think you also need to add some light switches - i'm sure this project is done how. Hopped over here from Real Life's collab video to see what you did. I will check back again to see your upload. But while I was here - this video caught my eyes and I will probably use this technique to make my own face plates and light switches - I think it came out really well!! I feel like I have seen you before, but I don't remember - if I came to this channel before it must have been ages ago - either that or you just have a very familiar face structure. Anyway - now that I am here, I might as well sub and see what other cool vids you've got!!! Thanks for this one.
Thank you so much for coming over to check out my channel! I see you have videos as well so I will enjoy checking them out as well :) I definitely agree and I do have light switches on my to-do list for the shop. I have heard before I have one of those "familiar faces" so it makes sense. Thanks for subscribing!! 💕
Movies Equal To Oxygen METOfilms yes I will definitely have to do more to the window for sure... broken glass is good and cob webs for sure! Welcome to my channel and thanks for leaving a comment!
I’m sooooo glad you don’t have background music in your videos anymore. This was insanely annoying. I had to turn off the sound completely. I know it isn’t fair to criticize old vids. But what I really wanted to say I like how you do the videos now.
I thought of that and it may be coming in the future ;) But I prob won't make a whole other video for the switch..... unless I try to make it work lol... hmmm
Just asking if there is a way that the music can be more in the background or is there a setting I can 1quiet it down without quieting you down. I ask because I am watching all of your posted videos in order of oldest to newest. Thank you.
I LOVE the detail of this project. The music is just killing me though. It’s so hard to focus on what you’re saying. Is it just me? Anyone? So, it’s just me? Ok.
Awesome job! Are you planning to add electricity to this project? A miniature bare bulb light would look amazing. Check out dollhouse lights from The Lighting Bug Ltd at www.lightingbugltd.com
I am so glad I went back to watch the Coffee shop videos.
I am so flattered. These look SO amazing!
It was such a great idea! Thank you!!!
The little fallen plateee! Cute

You never cease to amaze me!
Looks so realistic
Those look amazing! ! So real!!
Sooo cute.. I absolutely love your attention to details!
Thank you so much! I definitely learned a lot about adding details through this project!
Do you have a question and answer page? I have a couple of questions about the abandoned coffee shop.
I'm shocked! ;-P You know, most people do not actually look at/for electric outlets but it would sort of look even stranger if they weren't THERE so this is a nice addition to the project.
I agree! I need to go back and add them all around the Addams mansion!
@@BentleyHouseMinis Looks like delicate work though. But I believe in you!
Great job, it made me think of how cute it would be to make the one like on Christmas Story where the dad had a dozen plugs in one outlet.
Great idea Rosemary!! I will have to keep that in mind for sure. I love that visual!!
i would never even thought about it
I didn't either so I loved getting the suggestion!

Very cool!
Great tutorial
Amazing job!!!!!!
Thank you :)
Holy hole punch Ara!
Try adding a fly or a large, hairy spider. Certainly be some of those about.
For sure!
OMG GENIUS

It so cool you can also add a spits coffee stain
Sorry *spilt*
Thank you! Great idea!

Love it! But old plugs would only have two holes.
Hmmm... I didn't think about that! Thank you!

Broken glass in the window?
Movies Equal To Oxygen METOfilms yes I will definitely have to do more to the window for sure... broken glass is good and cob webs for sure! Welcome to my channel and thanks for leaving a comment!
Amazing! I love it! Where's the goofy cat with the swinging tail and back and forth googly eyes (sprung out, of course), lol?
Lol thank you! He comes in a few episodes later 😄😄👍

I prefer to have music in the background... But, it was too loud in this video. I like it when you only notice it when there's silence otherwise.
I think many abandon buildings and shops would have mice and holes in the wall.
Where's the switch? lol...Just kidding! Excellent! Love your project! Go Steampunk next! lol. Thank you for sharing.
I thought of that and it may be coming in the future ;) But I prob won't make a whole other video for the switch..... unless I try to make it work lol... hmmm

Will you add some broken chairs/tables on the floor?
Banana Monster yes I plan to have some very aged arm chairs and broken tables plus some kind of very old serving bar area.
Light switch hanging by wire from the wall and electrical conduit at top of inside wall with wire sticking out the end?
Very good ideas. My husband does a lot with wiring so I am trying to get some extra bits off of him at the moment to add to the project! thanks!
I LOVE the detail of this project. The music is just killing me though. It’s so hard to focus on what you’re saying. Is it just me? Anyone? So, it’s just me? Ok.
I totally understand! I used to hide behind the music ... but I feel like my confidence has increased and I have dialed back the music just a bit!
Awesome job! Are you planning to add electricity to this project? A miniature bare bulb light would look amazing. Check out dollhouse lights from The Lighting Bug Ltd at www.lightingbugltd.com
I will check it out if I decide to do that ;) This would probably be an easy one to add some light to. Thanks!
this is so sik😍😶
Thank you :)
this is so cool I am nat jokingly
Curtains
You need a curtain
.. not watched all of these uploads but.. maybe a broken ac on the wall somewhere
Great idea!! I will need more stuff for the outside area as well so I will keep that in mind!
Face plate
