- Today I show you how to put a new mower together. Where to put your gas and oil and how to fill it up with the new oil. I didn't have gas at the time to demonstrate where it goes but you get it.

I keep the flap down and just mulch the grass that I cut. That works well for me.....

The blades are sharp, very sharp. The one minus that everyone should be aware of is you need to be very careful taking the cutting unit out of the box. There’s a plastic guard so you don’t cut fingers as you take the main unit out of the box but it’s not taped down. As I took the unit out, I ended cutting a piece of my shirt. The plastic guard moved and my shirt touched one of the blades.

Hey I had some questions... I think I bent my blade need more help
You'll need to purchase a new blade if it's bent. The specifications are on the blade itself. You'll have to flip it on its face so the blade is facing you. (Clip the power by unplugging the cord) I think it comes off with an allen wrench. Rinse the blade off after you take it off and you'll see the numbers etc Lowes home depot etc all carry mower blades. Hope this helps! 😁

I have this exact mower. Whatever you do, don't let it run out of gas!!!! If it runs out of gas, it takes a while for it to prime and restart. It will restart, you just have to keep pulling the string. It's a pain in the neck to restart, so keep it fully fueled!!

My bag literally does fit… It comes up like 4-5 inches short. Fits the top and sides great but the bottom is a so far off. Any thoughts other than the bag is small?
You have to click it into the base it should sit flush against all sides

What a wonderful video; it helped me get it done. You're my kind of lady... direct and all that stuff. I'd add 2 minutes to the video; saying that there are three basic layouts. The mulch; as is from factory. Which is best because it double cuts or fine cuts to add the minerals back into the soil. Then you can turn it from a mulching machine to a regular lawn mower by attaching the side nozzle. Or you can attach the bag for late autumn when there is just to much to mulch; or when you let the grass get to high between cuttings.... then the bag works. Because, leaving clumps on your grass will kill the grass underneath. But you don't use the right nozzle and bag at the same time. One or the other; if you are not mulching. I have the same cute scar on my right hand from a bad fuse and de breeding of the skin. Karma right. Just kidding; I'm likely too old for you. Have a great time and thanks for the video.

I think I threw my wingnuts away on accident. Do you know what size they are so I can get a replacement?

Just came here to find out how to assemble the folding handle into a locking position because the directions & diagram are so hard to figure out, but you skipped that part entirely. Gosh! 😢
There's two buttons on each side and you need to place the wing nuts into the sides to secure it

OMG I just realized the particular model i have doesn't have rear discharge to install a bag in. so frustrating. The MTD website made it seem as though it was compatible with M100 mower.
Then it should have a side plate to discharge grass etc

Any mower is a good mower to start with
