Hallo! Danke fürs Video und die restlichen Videos! Hab die selbe Säge. 2016er Modell! Finde ich sehr geil. Und extrem universal. Schön, dass du zeigst, dass sie selbst sowas schafft!
Nice work again! I've got the regular carb 261 and It perfoms about the same as you show in the video. I fell and bucked two 28-30" cottonwoods with it and with technique I made it happen. I've even stump cut big trees, but I'll get a 461 soon for that type of work.
The saw wont last 6 months like that. You have to let the saw do the work and for what it's worth I would not be cutting beech of that size with my 261. He is doing a hack job right there, painful to watch.
@@24cupsandcounting Nope. I just don't like ir when someone tell others how to do their job. He's been felling trees for living for many many years so he knows what he's doing.
The 261 is a good saw but my 271 will do anything it will do. I am not impressed with the Mtronic saws, because I am a screw turned and do not like to not have the ability to set my WFO RPM to what I want it to be (12,6 -12,800) as opposed to letting some other person from EPA set lean/rich settings. I run my saws rich a at both the top and low ends. I never want a saw too run over 13,000 at any time and Mtronic saws do it all to much for my tastes.
Dominic Fortin,it's called open face notch and bore cut. He does it fairly well, but when you make your notch, make the top cut first so you can see while making your bottom cut that you don't have a bypass in your notch. Then you leave a 10 percent hinge and the rest is a piece of cake. Take care and stay safe my friend!!
Don't make the top cut first, it's much harder to control the direction and with a little bit of skill you can easily match up the top cut to the bottom. One trick is to put stick in each end of the bottom of the cut and line the bar up to them.
ZombieFighterOf2001 Hi there young man. I don't want to be rude. So don't take this wrong. I have been a professional logger for over 35 years. I cut tree's the old way by making the bottom cut first for many years. But I have a open mind and began cutting the top cut first. With a little practice you will find it is just as accurate but much faster. Please keep a open mind and never stop learning. You have a long way to go!!😁😁 Take care and stay safe!!
That's generally the way we're taught to do it, i personally prefer to do the top part first since it really does make clearing the notch out easier especially in trees longer than the bar. I do use the bottom first method when you have to really aim since you can get really accurate doing it that way.
My Stihl 261 broke down after only 3 years of cutting firewood. Stihl said it was my fault because I didnt use the Stihl oil and alcylat gasoline! 026 was a much more robust saw and I had one for allmost 20 years and used shell oil and 95 gas mixed 2%. Not happy with the Stihl 261 and Stihl support.
Ola Normann is simply bad troll. I'm sorry, but he is. He hates MS261. New gasolines are shit with ethanol. The ethanol kills carburetors in ALL new chain saws. The MS261 is a great saw. You must carefully read the user manual of your MS261 only. That's all...
I have also Stihl MS 261 about 5 years .Its excellent saw very satisfied.Btw nice video !
I still use my 026 for just about everything. its a great little saw.
Nicely done!
Very well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

super:!!!:)
That saw needs to be sharpened, the depth gauges seem too low. I have this saw and it is very strong for it's weight. 4.1 hp and extremely speedy.
24cupsandcounting I agree. He is pushing it hard and not letting the saw do the cutting.

Typical 'I'd do it better' talking on the internet...
@@luuuk7534 isn't that what you are doing? lol

John Clarke you can get a non mtronoc 261...
Letting a saw run segnificantly below its max rpm takes way to much power. If it's adjusted right and the fuel is fresh, it won't last less long.
what is the name of that felling technic
It has no name, it's the best technique for falling big trees.
