The cart reminds me of when I was fixing some concrete parking lots, I had put up high visibility cones all around the newly poured concrete and high visibility lines across except for one opening for me to get inside to work on it. This guy comes around the corner and scoots his cart under line and makes wheelmarks across my now finished concrete, not even batting an eye at me only standing 2-3 meters away. The same guy then hops in his car and proceeds to drive into a freshly poured lot through the cone opening and fucking looses it. We laugh and tell him as it is high summer, he'd better drive as fast as he could to a car cleaner because concrete REALLY sticks. All this Could've been avoided if he just payed attention to other people and HIGH VISIBILITY CONES! They literally sparkle!

Ambulance came, etc. Dude said he would pay and all, kept calling me whe nin emergency care. After 72 hours, that is the time to call the cops barring extreme circumstances (my case was not even close) he went from nice and having my money to death threats. Even if the other guy is apologetic, has cash in hand and pays you double on the spot, begs you because he never ever will see his kids again, pleads with you because please no prison time, always have a report made. Always.
On this side of the world, if anyone is injured however slightly in a vehicle accident, the law says that the accident must be reported to the police. There aren't any exceptions.
I really don't understand OP's motivation in the first story. Why prevent your idiotic & selfish neighbours from selling up? Surely you'd want new neighbours in as quickly as possible. Having an empty house up for sale, (for over 18 months) next door does you no favours whatsoever - it can affect the value of your own property and can cause security issues for you and all of your other neighbours. There was no benefit in behaving like this. Admittedly Greg's parents took a financial hit, but I'd imagine that OP didn't do himself any favours - basically it's a lose/lose situation.

Tomorrow is my birthday, my mom and sister and myself are going out to dinner. I always make it a point to be friendly and cordial with my wait staff/servers, because I know they deal with a lot of Karens, dude-bros, and assholes. I witnessed something similar a few weeks ago. Someone had pushed a cart into an empty parking space close to where my vehicle was parked. When i walked past it, i noticed that they had forgotten their wallet in the front of the cart. I always make it a point to be friendly and cordial with my wait staff/servers, because I know they deal with a lot of Karens, dude-bros, and assholes. If my smile and me saying "please" and "Thank you" and such improves their day even a little bit, then I'm happy to do so. Even if it doesn't brighten their day, it's the polite thing to do.

Now I'm remembering a friend who made a Neverwinter Nights module (that's a game which can be played online) which just had one room and a box or barrel in it. Whenever the player opened the container, they found an item marked "Dead Baby" (one of the stories in the Original Campaign involved retreiving a woman's very definitely living baby from her estranged former husband, so the "Baby" item already existed in-game and was simply re-named).
Within a short time, there were dozens of these "Dead Baby" items littered around the room (since the container generated a new one every time it was opened) and players were hanging out in the room discussing the social, ethical and psychological implications of the situation, attempting to find some kind of deeper meaning to it all.
But it was simply a joke and nothing more.

I worked in a restaurant as room service/wine Stewart, while putting away stock of an order of wine, I picked up a case of Dom Perignon, the case was wet and the bottom fell out, I caught 3 of the six bottles but the others hit the floor, and if you have ever dropped a bottle of Dom it makes a very unique sound when it breaks. From the other end of the kitchen, I hear the Manager says " That sounded expensive". Glad I did not get stopped by the cops on the way home I do not think they would have believed me

I witnessed something similar a few weeks ago. Someone had pushed a cart into an empty parking space close to where my vehicle was parked. When i walked past it, i noticed that they had forgotten their wallet in the front of the cart. I brought it to the cashiers at the front of the store, but man did they get karma for forgetting it in the cart that they pushed into a parking spot close to the cart return.
