College is going to open her eyes to several different cultures, norms, and ways of life. She will become more well rounded and build lasting friendships. It's not always about the money. When she can get money AND have that experience, she's winning.

Trinity, most people do all four years to get a degree and THEN get a career. Even then depending on what your majoring in you'll have to go get a masters because a bachelors salary isn't cutting it right now. If dancing is your passion then I suggest you go 100% and college is a beautiful experience but you WILL need to graduate before you have a job which is 4-4+ years. I believe what you were talking about was an internship and those are only for experience and last a couple of months. Your first 1-2 years of university is general studies. Regardless, FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS and don't let anyone influence what it is you want to do. Also don't be afraid to change your major/passion as this is normal as well!

Although that’s their little sister, her only identity isn’t Taylor Girls. She should be able to make the conscious decision of where she wants to go in life and not be discouraged because her family disagrees.
Support her in all that she does! She’s YOUNG and she’s NOT set on what she wants yet. If she wants to get her education, let her. The best thing to do is allow her to find her way.

Y’all don’t understand where Ti is coming from. Trinity wants to go to school for dancing and Ti is saying how she doesn’t think that is the best route because Trinity don’t go to her dance practices like she needs to or take the stuff she is currently in seriously. So why go to college for something you think your passionate about but not taking the necessary steps to ensure you are actually patient about dancing. Don’t waste money on something you aren’t 100% sure about. Trinity has dance classes and dances in high school and clearly Ti see how she acts with the activities she was previously in. Ti is honest and sometimes that’s what parents need to be all the time, honest with their kids. Don’t sugar coat anything because that’s when you find things out the hard way.

Honestly, college was and still is the best decision I made, I get to do what I want in life. I graduated with my associates degree and bachelors degree in human services minoring in psychology and sociology and now I am on the path of getting my master’s degree in family and human development. It’s the best learning experience, as well you get that college experience of meeting new people, staying in a college dorm, college parties, etc… Your knowledge will broaden and you will learn new things that are extraordinary. I learn so many things I college that I did not even know and I am still learning, so I would definitely consider it and do a lot of research to prepare yourself and watch other people’s journey to get a glimpse of how their experience went in college.
