Many thanks. Your method of mixing pigments with the brush has made working with powder pigment (and egg tempera) much more fun. I used to try to grind everything first. It took hours and I gave up, and went back to my tube water colors or oils.

Η χάρη του να είναι κάποιος δάσκαλος... βρίσκει τον τρόπο που το κάνει πολύ απλό για να το καταλάβει ο μαθητής του ...μπράβο σου Ηδη έχω δει το μάθημα 10 φορές ακόμα . Σου αρέσει πολύ αυτό που κάνεις και το κάνεις πάρα πολύ καλά. Καλή συνέχεια με πολύ πιο περισσότερα και απολαυστικότερα βίντεο.

I think this channel is underrated because he shows all the details of the whole process unlike other TH-cam channels who make short and noninformative videos which get views just because they look good

Thanks a lot, your tutorials are REALLY helpful. I've got some questions for you. 1) In order to be closer to the old masters, can this blending technique be used also with gouache on paper? 2) When one layer is painted, must it be dry in order to paint another layer or can we paint as soon as we have the right tone ready? 3) I imagine that the blending lines must follow the shape they will cover, am I right?

Depending on the effect and blending type you want to achieve you apply color on wet, or dry under layer. For traditional iconography you paint on dry.

Hello, you are very, very talented! I also know that it often is about 10 percent talent and 90 percent hard work. My teacher advised me once to practice making fine lines every day - but did I do it! I am retired and paint for fun, but anyway! My question is if I become a “patron” will there be more videos available than I can find now? I am danish and think I understand that as patron I pay a little amount every month, am I right?

I’m watching closely…do you not add water to pigment as you prepare your paint??? Only dip your brush in the dry pigment and add the egg mixture….no extra water??/
