Cracking work again Gary. That house would o been lovely back in the day, shame that places like that fall into disrepair. Sad for all the people who lost their boats/possessions during the storm. ☹️. Keep up the good work.
Penman Point is one of my favorite places to photograph. The mono image of South Stack is also my favorite of the images. As always wonderfully produced and informative video.
Thank you Gary for sharing your trip with us. The boats were a sad sight but the lighthouse shot and the bell were lovely and the fighter jets were just awesome! Enjoy Skye I hope you get some decent weather for your trip ;D
Wow, emotional video Gary, it is always sad to see the aftermath of a storm and the destruction to peoples property, whether it be, house, car etc, or in this case boats, at the end of the day, the owners have probably worked hard to purchase the boats or houseboats and to have them destroyed is very sad, having said that, there were some cracking images there, thanks for sharing.
An amazing place delivered around there for about 5 years, never got bored and the views they changed daily some of the best lunch break views at Penmon, Amlwch, Red wharf Bay, Moelfre to name a few, nice people always helpful, thoughts are with them in the recovery.. enjoy the rest of the trip.
Hello once again gary, you have exceeded yourself in the task of giving pleasure by your photography, and the video shoots, nice to see your companion Scooby, not bad for an elderly guy, hope all goes well in your next big assignment , regards Phil
You mix content and music so well together Gary to match the emotion. Really well done. I love the bell image - looks like a spaceship has landed!! You captured some great images there
Great images Gary and as one who also follows a number of yachting channels I fully get your point of view on the boats. I've watched many people sink their hearts and souls into a boat restoration / repair / rebuild over a period of years rather than months so to see destruction on this scale is heartbreaking - especially after what happened so recently in the Caribbean. Great aircraft shots.
Great video Gary. Love your channel. Not only are your videos good but your photography is excellent. Processing on the green statue thingy was excellent and my personal favourite. Cheers for sharing.
Great vlog Gary. I grew up in Cemaes Bay a long time before the bell was put there. The sunsets you can get along the coast are amazing. The shots of the RAF jets were spot on.
The one with the large house. That was nearly my favourite too. There was something really cool about it. The location and backdrop are just amazing. Glad you liked the video. Cheers
Very sad sight. Not much survived. Do love the lighthouse location though Gary, and of course the training jets. The St. Patrick Bell and last location were really interesting spots. Cheers.
Great shots again Gary. I've got a 7 night stay in Menai Bridge booked for June. I love Anglesey. I spent three years at Uni in Bangor in the early 80’s and always love going back to North Wales. Such a shame about the storm damage and everyone impacted.
Gary, just don't think there are words to describe those great photo's and video just amazing. On each of your vlogs see a photo that is great but think this time you out did yourself. Heard about the storm that went through but didn't think it was as bad as it was. Learn something from every one of your videos... Thnx
Hi Gary, your pics are wonderful. And your art to present this in the Videos makes me happy. I wait on every new one. Please for more of such amasing Information and inpirations. Manny greatings from Germany
Amazing shots Gary, I thoroughly enjoy your vlogs and images and the music was a perfect match for the mood you created. Really feel for those that lost their boats and especially those that were their homes. Mother nature is unforgiving isn't she?
We do get our share of these Natural disasters here in the states (I'm in Southern California) and the damage and total destruction of property and families lives are painful to see, but your right, impossible to imagine what they go through while its happening. I hope no one there was hurt or lost their life. You can replace everything else but that. I think you did a very nice job documenting the damage and conveying the human side of it in a respectful way.
A really good vlog, Gary. Some stunning shots and some devastating wreckage. Not just millionaires there, I reckon there's a few life savings gone into some of those too. So sad. But, the main story I got from this vlog though, was that Carl Clarke shove fig rolls up his arse. Poor Carl :) That looked like it was one hell of a building in it's day. I love stuff like that. Beautiful photos as always, Gary.
Wonderful yet thought provoking vlog Gary, the drone footage really demonstrates the scale of damage, while instilling the feeling of loss those poor vessel owners must be feeling. Some awesome photography as always & 'warbirds'?? that's an unusual but 'very' welcome twist on Landscape photography! You need to come to the 'eastern' end of the my company, Bae Systems' runway at Warton in Lancashire Gary, you can get quite 'up close and personal' with Hawks, Typhoons & Tornadoes on take off and landing, should you be patient enough to sit a while and wait patiently of course ;-). Anyway, cheers Gary and please keep up the great work!.
Really enjoyed this Gary. I loved the photos of the aircraft and would love you to show us more of this so I can learn the techniques. We have a small airport and you can stand at the boundaries to watch. Something a bit different. I think we would like it and you could indulge your passion. 😄
Hi Gary gave it a ‘like’ not because of Scooby although he is a dear old dog. Rather gave it a thumbs up because your I like your style, the story you have tell, the videos and your stunning photography which deserve no less!
New subscriber here. Love your style of blog. Too many now are trying to be too clever and trying to win an Oscar. Yours is a perfect blend. Fantastic shots too.
Some cracking images as usual Gary - although I think Jason Jones beat you to the houses at the end lol (Call it Home advantage! lol ) I'm hoping to get up there shortly, maybe a trip in the tent :-D
Another great video Gary! I am travelling to Wales in September and all these sites are on my list to shoot so it's great to see them through your eyes and lens. Cheers, Ian
Absolutely wonderful scenic images plus a bonus of jets too. I don't remember ever seeing images of Anglesey before (I wonder why?) but what a gorgeous location. So sad to see the devastation of those boats. Are those snowcapped mountains in the distance also on Anglesey?
Another enjoyable vlog...with some nice images, especially the b&w one of the lighthouse. Feel for those people who have lost things in that storm, but most are resilient and will bounce back. Keep up the good work Gary!
Those pictures were just stunning, but I don't think the mono pictures worked as well as the colour ones, but you were so lucky with the weather, on my monitor you could almost smell the sea, well done that was most enjoyable......
Stunning images as always and especially liked the tide bell. Such a shame about the destruction and damage around the marina but alas it shows just how powerful mother nature can be.
Wow. Thoroughly captivating video Gary. A mixed bag as it were but what a mix! Stunning seascapes that only Mother Nature could produce, on one end of the spectrum followed by a haunting reminder of the destructive power that She could unleash, at the other end of that spectrum. And in between there somewhere were the awesome images of human creations; Lighthouses, derelict mansions and magnificent aircraft. Brilliant work Gary.
Stunning, one of the best landscape videos I've seen. There are loads of folks doing landscape video but this stands out at the top. Enjoyed watching and look forward to seeing many more
Great video Gary and beautiful images although tinged with sadness at the destruction. Sometimes its difficult to believe what the forecasters tell us. I follow 2 different forecasting stations. For tomorrow 1 warns me about heavy rain in my particular area. The other states it will be dull with slight showers. So who do I believe.
Stunning images Gary and again, thank you for the settings too, this really does help me...cheers. Did you not see any puffins?? Quite a few by the RSPB south stack building is.... It’s a shame you didn’t go a bit further north from south stack and see the tidal step, it’s where the two tides meets but one is higher than the other, weird and wonderful nature...
Gary have a read through this (link) my friend told me about it when he was kayaking years ago, they call it the race... www.ukseakayakguidebook.co.uk/holy_island_anglesey/art_holy_island.htm
Brilliant vlog gary, awsome images especially penmon one of my favourite places. Obviously thoughts go out to those who lost their livlihoods and possessions during storm emma
Nice video Gary. Might want to return to penmon during new moon and high tide around spring time for catchy the elusive bioluminescent plankton of a night. I have a few shots of it. Such a fantastic little island. Did you manage to find the white arch at Rhoscolyn?
Hi Gary, Great vlog as always, nice drone footage of the Lighthouse, great shot @ 5.00 Nice to see scooby still out and about, The shot of the Bell Stunning. Looking forward to more
Love all your videos! am learning some more "Little things" which might be important, but after your recent video on the ND filters I really like the Zomei and bought the Glass 10 stop and holder,
Bloody hell Gary. That was a very poignant moment when you showed the wrecked yachts. The owners must be devastated. You've captured fantastic images from some of my favourite locations and I love the shot from Penmon across to the snow capped Snowdonia mountains. Superb! Next time you're on the island there's a great location with a stranded shipwreck on the beach at Dulas Bay on the way to Benllech. Easy enough to find but I'll send you the co-ords if you ever want them. Great to see Anglesey looking so beautiful, so many thanks for sharing this great video Gary.
Cheers Tim. I was going to head to the shipwrecks (Think there's 2 of them?) the day I went to the marina. Guess I got carried away with the scene. Great if you could pass on the coordinates though. Thank you
No worries Gary. I'll message them across on Instagram. Here's a copy of the OS webpage with a pin showing location : osmaps.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/53.36855,-4.29018,16/pin

Genuinely feel like I am watching a movie every time I watch your blogs.

Another great video Gary. You never here of the real damage to boats during the storms. It's all about the damage to trees and houses.
Hi Stephen, Yeah it was very sad indeed
Cracking work again Gary. That house would o been lovely back in the day, shame that places like that fall into disrepair.
Sad for all the people who lost their boats/possessions during the storm. ☹️.

Stunning pics! And I love the quick switch to the jets; after all, they make the sound of freedom!
You can't beat the sound of freedom :)
Penman Point is one of my favorite places to photograph. The mono image of South Stack is also my favorite of the images. As always wonderfully produced and informative video.
Thank you Charles 👍

Hi Teddy, thank you and like you said, fingers crossed for some decent weather
Wow, emotional video Gary, it is always sad to see the aftermath of a storm and the destruction to peoples property, whether it be, house, car etc, or in this case boats, at the end of the day, the owners have probably worked hard to purchase the boats or houseboats and to have them destroyed is very sad, having said that, there were some cracking images there, thanks for sharing.

Absolutely wonderful scenic images plus a bonus of jets too. I don't remember ever seeing images of Anglesey before (I wonder why?) but what a gorgeous location. So sad to see the devastation of those boats. Are those snowcapped mountains in the distance also on Anglesey?
Hi John. Snow-capped indeed. Glad you liked the video. Cheers
John - if the shots are looking south then those snow-capped mountains are on the north Wales mainland, just across the Menai Strait from Anglesey.
Great vlog as always Gary. My favourite images have to be the bell and Penmon lighthouse. Sad story about the boats mate.. Scooby how ya been? :)
Cheers Dean. Scooby is still hanging in there :)

A little strong but I'll take that all day long. Thank you kindly
Somebody got it horribly wrong that day, that's for sure :( Cheers Jim
Stunning images Gary and again, thank you for the settings too, this really does help me...cheers.

Must be some devastated owners :( Cheers Paul
Nice video Gary. Might want to return to penmon during new moon and high tide around spring time for catchy the elusive bioluminescent plankton of a night. I have a few shots of it. Such a fantastic little island. Did you manage to find the white arch at Rhoscolyn?

Gary, loved the shots as always. How did you manage to freeze the bell clapper during a 30 second shot? It sounded like it was pretty active.
The bell doesn't actually move. It's just the clapper that moves :) Thank you
Cracking video again. What did you do in the RAF and where?
Any chance of a post process vid on the jets please?
Hi Glyn, I was a Supplier in the RAF. Served in Stafford, Gütersloh, and Lossiemouth. I'll do a post-processing video of the jets for you
Cheers Gary
Absolutely fantastic video Gary. By the way, what’s the big job?
Just a 5-day workshop in the Isle of skye. I do 2 of them each year
