The best item that was found was the fired three ringer but what made it super special was to give it away. The lucky young winner was speech-less with excitement. This is the kind of action that builds this hobby/sport. I would have never thought that this would be a cool hobby until my dad took me out and I found some treasure. Thanks for keeping the enthusiasm through your generosity and encouraging videos. You inspire me and really make me enjoy the quest! Thank you! Thank you!
@@HistorySeekers Vermont! It was a long winter this year so trying to make the most of it while it's snow free. I'm using an Garrett Ace 250 that I bought my husband 15 years ago...lol
Oh cool. I have hunted in NH. I have some video up from up that way. You guys have some awesome colonial sites there. That is where I have my oldest coin from this far. It was a 1787 CT copper.
Aweome bullets! Tornados all over the place Heath! This is gonna be a stormy year i think. HH! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE DRAWING! That hollowed out musket ball was awesome!
I just love to watch you guys hunt you find nice civil war relics. I live in Arizona so I don’t think I will ever find one out here, but I am having a lot of fun trying. So far all I have found is stinkin Lincoln’s lol. I’m happy for Kelly I like that she is taken bullets back north with her. Keep posting I love to watch ya all.
Thank you Cyndee! We appreciate you watching. You guys have some cool ghost towns that can turn up amazing coins. Keep us posted on your finds. If you are on facebook check out our group "The History Seekers".
History Seekers Yes there is I lived right next to the ghost town of Oatman. They still have a working gold mine there. I plan on making a trip up there soon to go detecting there I will let you know what I find.
Hi guys!!! My favorite part is Kelly getting the mini ball out of the deep hole. I really look forward to watching all your videos. The tornado was interesting to see!! So glad your all safe.
Thanks Jan. Some trips we do well and some are a bust. This one was ok. So far our best hunt near there was 500 bullets in a weekend but that was before....now its hard to get 20.
Great Video! Love digging Civil War lead or brass. From all the accounts that I have read the Williams Cleaner was the most thrown away bullet of the Civil War. It was designed t clean the barrel of fowled rifle barrels but more often than not it tended to get jammed in the barrel. I think your carved bullet is the best item that you have shown but as I could not see it up close I will have to take your word on that. I like the brass sabot best of all! Congrats on getting some of that Northern Invader lead back to the North where it belong. LOL ;-)
Dave always good to hear from another student of history Dave. Someone told me we were wrong about the cleaner bullets being discarded. Apparently they haven’t detected as much to see how they were tossed out. We have a friend that got us on the edge of a camp where hundreds of them were dug. All fired into the side of a mountain. There were reports of making soldiers that had discipline problems clean the companies weapons by firing cleaner bullets.
Great video! I personally liked the bullet in between the roots. I always hunt around the old trees and I get super excited when I get that signal under a large root that's been there 50 to 100 or even more years. You just know it's going to be something good at least up to the point i dig out that Matchbox car some kid buried in 1980. bummer
I commented about a month and a half ago letting yall know I was new and wish I could find ANYTHING cool like you guys. I have since found some indian head pennies, v nickels, tokens, and a few small relics...I am now hooked! Great videos!
I went hunting for bullets years ago and the guy I was with found a bullet which when we cleaned it up had tooth marks in it. Apparently when someone was being treated for injuries on the battlefield it was common for doctors to have a soldier bite down on a bullet so they don’t break their teeth from the pain of treating them
History Seekers Never heard the wild hog one but they will definitely chew on anything. I would like to get a metal detector and search for myself sometime.

Good hunt and thankfully you were safe from the tornado. My favorite finds were the three rings. I have never found one and would love to even get just one.
Love your finds The Equinox 800 is an awesome detector, I would like another to teach other people & the children in my class how to use a metal detector. I've been using an old Bounty Hunter from the 80's-90's, but it's on it's last leg now, not working every time. Thank you for your videos & the call back.
@@HistorySeekers Thank you. Do you know of any cheap easy to use metal detectors to teach preschoolers to detect. My goal is more interest being outside rather than inside on video games or TV

Another great video, Heath. I would have to say my favorite finds were the percussion caps. It’s amazing that those things survived being in the ground so long.

I think the percussion caps are a cool find. It is possible that a soldier was standing in the area fighting.
Keep up the good work.

@@HistorySeekers - It is certain that about 12000 USCT troops camped right there. And fought there too.

Cool finds! That storm would've been entertaining to me! LOL
It was pretty cool
Those caps were pretty cool cause they were so small!
They are hard or impossible to find with most detectors.
I enjoyed where Kelly had to reach in and retrieve your bullet-great video
LOL! He needs to carry a Sawzall in his backpack :)
Me too Jim. Those small little hands that she has did the trick. The big paws couldn’t get between the roots.
I liked the unfired percussion cap
Me too. Thanks!
awesome video heath and kelly

I think the 30 minute bullet is my favorite you’ll always remember working for that one
