@@jduarte3977 my interpretation of it is I've never knew XG existed as did a lot of people here in the states, but their music caught my attention. It wasn't any billboards, adds or marketing strategies. I heard their songs on Spotify which made me research them. That's my interpretation of how they gained popularity, especially here in the states.

Truth! XG is definitely not lacking! You can feel these girls are hungry for the stage, i still get teary eyed watching their XG Move #1 video, they are deserving of every support and love

Shooting Star was about Y2K kawaii vibes where J girls dancing around on Tokyo girl's collection runway and this is like 90's old school America with sci-fi movie vibes but popped out from Vogue magazine.
What makes XG stand out amongst the gg that has been coming out of the Asian countries is their natural swag. That "around the way girl" swag. The "fly gurls" energy. Iykyk. It's not a costume. It's not a part of their performances.

Not really sure if people really remember this movie but this mv reminds me of Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century like the spaceship and some of the outfits will fit well in certain scenes.

So one of the main thing I've mentioned was the fact they are a form of "Asian Pop" whether kpop, jpop w/e, they are given creative freedom due to not being signed with a kpop or jpop label. Being part of that kpop culture and its labels makes if very difficult to express one's self, not to mention a lot of kpop songs are written for the groups with very little to no input from the members themselves. These girls have a MASSIVE future ahead of them and I truly believe they will pave the road for a new generation. Can't wait....

I dunno what to called the style they have in this and Shooting Star, it's like... eclectic-retro-futuristic or something... but it's so much goddamn fun and absolutely unique. Really hope their agency keeps rolling with this type of musical and visual vibe, it makes them stand out from the competition.

Worldwide appeal, and these girls have it... so don't be jelly. Screaming it ain't K-pop one minute then mad BTS isn't getting the props they deserve in the western world the next minute.
