Cool. WDIVs live stream cut out intermittently, and they don't seem interested in posting their coverage (or I don't know where). Now I can see the parts that got dropped out, and show my friends who didn't see any of it.

Hey man, the next time you film the IFF, could you not turn the camera away from the fireworks so much and so long? A lot of Windsorites (myself included) had to move away because of the recession and miss the event.
We get that it draws a lot of people to the waterfront; over a million actually, but viewers really just wanna see one of the largest (if not the largest) fireworks displays in all of North America.

rg0057, thank you. Like my UFO Movie & UFO film coverage, this was a last minute decision as my wife could not attend and she asked me to film it for her and show it to her in the hospital. I did not have my camera tripod and it would have been much smoother if I did.

I cant not attend the fireworks and I look forward to your video every year. I don't bother with the tv because of the narration that is put to it along with music that takes away from the sights and sounds. Thanks so much Aaron

+foldaset I'm trying more for an archival video as opposed to a wow factor high production TV presentation. So I'm hoping i nailed it in that department. I should do an alternate (parody) of channel 4 coverage where i try and narrate as well.

+pyrofreak Yes, it was early this year. Because of bad weather coming in they started an hour earlier than they do every year. Normally they start at 10:06, well after it's nice and dark.

+Joel Carpenter This was an external microphone. Volume can be really hard to monitor until after the show though. Balance is really hard to find.

Hi Foldaset it's me Shannon again. I was going to record the show myself and post it to youtube but... My Android was not up to challenge of the memory in hd :(. Should have used my Polaroid camera even it is in VGA mode. I think I might get the other version of this camera with hd. I have the Waterproof version.
The "flag mishap' was a mishap :)lol The American flag dropped into the river off the helicopter! NO!
Detroit was under a storm watch and they was a second line of strong storms heading our way for 10pm to 11:00pm and they decided to launch the show hour earlier! It was a hectic day. I made it home via bus just in time for the bad storm!
I was at Hart Plaza this year and they were awesome! And the sky was darker there! It was fun. Nice Video.

+Shannon Matthews Wow, I didn't know the flag had dropped. I was thinking it was weird, as I figured if only one flag was going to be shown it would have been the US flag. If you look at my first two videos from 2011 and 2012, i was in the same boat as you were then. I was excited to record in 4K this year as my phone can record but the max video length is 5mins. The storm that night was insane though.

+foldaset Really? You"re making a parody of the channel 4? I used to write little firework comic stories about the fireworks based on the fireworks brpadcast and I use Mario Bros instead of Carmen and Devin ;D LOL My Polaroid is the small version $40.00 from Walmart and there's a red one with HD on it. I might get it.
