Dusty. I'm new to this camera stuff and I've recently watched so many videos by so many other creators trying to learn and decide what I want. My question is how tf do you only have 68 subscribers? I'm so sick of all the bs talk at the beginning of other creators videos, the dragging on, sponsors, yada yada yada. They waste so much time, drag everything out to keep us engaged which makes me disengage and they take forever to get to the point. Your video has been by far the best. You immediately grabbed my attention by talking about the issue, and then after a very nice and short intro, you got right back on target. The format, everything. Impressive. You told us what the equipment is, where to find it, and even gave a shoutout to another person who gave you the suggestion which integrity for me is a big thing. You have a talent for this. Thank you for being awesome! New sub!
Pretty good review. The problem I had was the exposure on your face in the car made it hard to see any focus change. Even without the diopters the focus didn't look too bad. The most notable change was in the Bokeh. I get a kick out of how you wear sunglasses indoors but no sunglasses in the bright sunlight outside!?!
Agreed, unfortunately I was on a time crunch to get this done and it did not turn out the way it should. I did a second test for this weeks video, you should check it out! 🫶
Great video, small price to pay for the multitude of other features this camera offers. It is unfortunate the min focus range is longer but I suspect we will see this change in the future ;) It would have made a vlogging beast as well.
Guys like you and Dusty are really showing off the potential this little powerhouse of a camera offers! I feel like in about a year there's going to be such a huge selection of parts available. :)
This camera has definitely changed the standards in the action camera market. Between the Ace Pro and the DJI Action 4, GoPro is getting sandwiched. And if they don’t bring something new to the table, they are going to be left behind. @MiyagisRant if Insta360 did release a ‘focusing lens’ that you could just snap on easily, I think this would be the perfect all around camera. BTW, love your videos! 🫶
Good testing. I think you were sitting decently far back at 21 inches away from the camera so your face was quite focused in the beginning already. The results seem to show that +1 improved the situation slightly and +2 actually worsened the situation slightly. If I have to guess, this means that +1 is best for 24 inches and +2 is best for 16-ish inches of distance, in that ballpark. +4 is definitely 12 inch territory, for people who do in-your-face vlogs. This is an excellent backbone of an experiment you made here. I think a great improvement to this would be to move your head to 3 different positions for each diopter and review how the image looks at that position. Great vid idea overall.
That was a great review, thanks so much Dusty! I've been dying to find a solution like that for ages. Guessing it's only a matter of time until a diopter kit shows up on Ali Express for like 5 bucks or something. Thinking it might be easy to punch into the 8k to get rid of the warping at the edges with the macro lens on. Subscribed, keep up the good work mate! :)
The video I made a couple weeks ago where I was playing call of duty, thqt was using the +4, and zoomed it in during gameplay. My face was really fuzzy, but I was also pretty far away from the camera. I feel like the warping effect is not that big of a deal if you’re using this to Vlog because your face is going to be the main focus anyway. Just my input. 🫶
Be careful blowing with your mouth, you can accidentally spit on it, and also make it damp. Best to use a air blowing thing for lenses and microfiber towel to wipe.
@2:00 - Doesn’t touching all over the glove with your sweaty ungloved hand defeat the purpose of the glove? 😅 Love the video and I’ve ordered my own lenses. Thanks!

A appreciated the Ace Ventura reference

@@the_inverness_design_studio Yes, it's not a perfect camera but what it offers is hands down innovative, something we need a little more these days.

I will definitely keep that in mind. I appriciate the tips! 🫶
Which diopter would you recommend to take video of food eg. dining plate kind of food
+2 seems to be the ideal one in my opinion
Nice video, I think the ace pro looks best with no extra lense on it.
the man with the rubber glove was suprisingly not gentle. 😆 great video
Very entertaining video. Thank you!
Good job on the video.

Love the video and I’ve ordered my own lenses. Thanks!
I like your Retro vibes going on in this video. What software do you use?
So sunny inside?
Nice video. I appreciate the explanation. A lot of your videos look a little overexposed. Just fyi
Finally which one better ? +2 or +4?
bro get rid of the music. itll make your vids better. thats just for me bro. keep it up
Thank you for the input and wonderful comment. I can’t promise any major changes. 😂🫶
How about just using the face detection feature 😅
This crutch is not able to solve the problem of focusing, you will have to carry 2 cameras, ase pro and an autofocus camera
дикий засвет в видео(майка и лицо пересвечены)
