    The Lion King is based on Hamlet, by Shakespeare. It was in theaters and yes, it was epic.

    The stampede is the scene that always lingers with me, no matter how many times I see this movie. I always yell at Simba to run when the herd start getting close; and even though I know it’s coming, I always go cold at the fateful line: “Long live the king.” Jeremy Irons left a scar (pun unintended) on my childhood psyche.

      That scene was nerve wracking and Scar is one hell of a villain. The voice actor and the animators did a great job! I love this villain so much in terms they made me feel disgusted and sad that a brother would do this. So, they nailed it

    I still remember where I was the first time I saw the stampede scene. I was 5 years old, watching the movie play on a tv in the TV section of some department store with my dad. I immediately turned to him in tears and told him I needed him to buy that vhs for me Lolol 😂 good times! Iconic!

    The Lion King is just a whole masterpiece Almost everything is perfect in the film the characters, the animation, the voice acting, the music fit perfectly well.... This movie was one of Disney's best animation at it's time And it's still is consider a classic To this day ... and that the animators did not have much faith in the film since they were inexperienced..and it turned out to be the opposite, this film has won millions of awards for best soundtrack film,and also as one of the best elaborated.. Elton John and Hans Zimmer were key to the soundtrack of this movie ....
    the simply perfect voice actors fit the characters very good... We have to thank the unforgettable Jeremy irons, voice of Scar, he literally got into the role of the villain. Scar is one of my favorite Disney villains...because almost all of his plan was calculated and the way they described his character is the perfect villain, I mean, he's bad but at the same time he has charisma and personality... And he knows how to manipulate people around him to get what he want ...Using reverse psychology even on his own nephew you realize what a mastermind he is In fact, you knew that Sazu's voice is Mr Bean himself, right? and Musfasa's voice is Darth Vader from Star wars...James Earl Jones... Totally fits Musfasa Character... Just magnificent... the animators did a great job with this movie that is not only a movie to entertain but also gives important life lessons.

    • @TobgiReacts
      @TobgiReacts  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Scar indeed is one of my favourite Villains...I liked him but dispised him at the same time. Damn I didn't know Mr Bean was voice acting Sazu. Also, the fact that Mufasa was voice acted by the same person who did Darth Vader...I mean it suits the character very well like you said. The animators did do a great job for real!

    the live action is really bad because the lions literally show zero expression on their faces the whole movie. the second lion king movie is actually really good too.

    • @TobgiReacts

      Yea, I was wondering if they can mimic the expressions in the animation. I am assuming they went with a more serious route.

    • @カプシンモーライズ
      @カプシンモーライズ ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Disney's goal was for the remake to look like a documentary, to show their CGI skills at portraying real animals and environements. That's why the characters obviously don't show as many emotions as in the animated movie. It makes me sad me to see so many people hating one the movie because of the character's expression while they made one of the most visually beautiful and realistic movie in CGI that I've ever seen (and Hans Zimmer did surpass himself by composing even better versions of his soundtracks)

    • @penguin50279
      @penguin50279 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@カプシンモーライズ the cgi and music were beautiful however, making it look like a documentary should not have been the goal. having your characters have zero emotion on their face just makes it hard to feel bad for them, it just made me laugh.

    The original is really a great movie, beautiful overall story and well made.
    And since you've mentioned it towards the end: When it comes to the newer adaptation, you simply should be aware that the animals in it are portrayed like actual real-life animals. That's what made some people talk negatively about it. But on the other hand that's also a big strength of the adaptation! Especially technically from a 3D point of view it's absolutely mindblowing (especially when you have a big screen and high resolution), I personally think it looks even better than Avatar. The story-line and the scenes are very close to the original, which is cool to see and to compare too. So yeah.. if you're reacting to it, I'm looking forward to it. Just don't expect the disney-typical facial expressions, then you're good to go. 😉

    • @TobgiReacts
      @TobgiReacts  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea, I was wondering the live adaptation if they approached it still with a Disney like facial expressions or more serious one. I do think the adaptation looks very nice the CGI looks beautiful judging from the images I saw while doing the thumbnail.

    • @imaxischerhangus3578
      @imaxischerhangus3578 ปีที่แล้ว

      The movie was good it's passable but nothing can compare to the original you just can't change hand draw animation for CGI and animated computer live action is simply more emotional. Although it is the same, it fails to generate the same.

    I saw this on my birthday when it came out . I was just a kid and I just loved this movie. THey took so much care. With the animation, voice cast, and the music. When I was in 8th grade, my singing class went to Dinseyland and preformed many Disney songs, and one of them was the Circle of life from this movie. This has always held a special place in my heart and is still one of my top favorites.

    33:31 a lot of people didn't end up liking the live-action because it just doesn't feel the same anymore.( while obviously the original Lion King is not without fault it was like they were trying to fix something that never needed to be fixed in the first place...) but instead I highly recommend watching the sequel instead! If this movie was based on Hamlet the second movie is based on Romeo and Juliet.
    But when this movie ended it was Simba's son, Kions (The Lion Guard series) brother Kopa that was born.
    He was planned for the second movie, but last minute changes turned the story into a Romeo and Juliet story and Kopa was scrapped and was reduced to a fandom character the had his own book series, because they needed a princess and Kiara was born instead.
