I agree but you can’t get mad at the people who want to enjoy this stuff too who aren’t as financially able. This is a complete show car type of thing but when it comes to like cruise nights or maybe average Joe cars and coffee, I don’t have a problem seeing them
Thank you. Yes a great car show . Lest you forget, this show began as the Oakland Roadster show in Oakland. Until mid 1960’s it was always the Oakland R 😂dstercshow., Evolved in name to the Grand National in early 70 as it moved across to the huge Cow Palace . A historical land mark itself Palace in S S F near Colma by Andy Brizio’s hot Rod shop and Sanderson header’s fabrication shop. Many , many famous customizers came to Oakland: Dean Jeffries, George Barris are two. Local guys involved include D’Agostino
Thks Mike another great video from u. Good thing you shot Friday inside, I was there Saturday and it was packed inside shoulder to shoulder. Great times.
Thank you Mike. You always put out excellent videos. You do a really good job considering how many people are around the cars while you are trying to shooting!
Wow. Parked nose to nose where you started in the Street Machine hall were 2 of the most important pro street cars in history. Rick Dobbertin's 67 Nova, and his Pontiac J2000. The cars that started, and ended, the Pro Street movement; both built by the same guy. 👍
Thanks Mike, Great shoot…. Best paint I’ve ever seen. My 3 favorites were #3 - Dead Mint Corvette …. #2 Pontiac Wagon @ 32:34 … #1 Red ‘59 El Camino @ 27:25.

Thank you so much for this in-depth coverage of the show. I had contemplated going but I thought there would be a lot of no shows because of the rain, so I opted not to go (on Saturday). But from what you've shown, it looks like there was a big turn out.
It's always worth going. If you watch the Saturday outside video you'll see there still was a bunch of cars in that video as well. Enough to film for six hours on the second day.
This is another mega dollar car that nobody could duplicate because of the $$$$$$$$$. If we has $500.00 in a car most of that was in exterior paint, the rest of the alloy polish and spray can work was done by us, learning how to make it look fine while the rest of the troopers had money and had someone else do it all. We were proud just to be there.
Just when I think my 67 Mustang is looking good.......😂. Do you ever run I to other youtubers when doing your videos? I watch a few of them. Always watching to see if I see others in your videos. You want us to say which was our favorites.....of course I'm picking a Pony car. But which was your favorite?
I honestly though the most impressive, thinking outside the box moment, was the car with all the tools and bolts laying around it. That was a cool idea with the props.
none of these cars are driven or raced because of the detail to finish is absolute finest that a shop can do, chrome everywhere and so forth. We use to build them in our back yar and just the outside paint was done by a shop, we did the rest, to learn how to build a fine home built rod. we never won the overall award, it went to the best of the best. Nowdays they spend huge money on paint, chrome and so forth, beautiful but not done in the back yard . I'm 84 been in the Oakland show years ago, was a pistriper of the 50's as a teenager in Oakland.
Again Mike, at 41:55, it is a '631/5 Ford. note the different roof line than the '63s.Ceck the history of these cars and see for yourself. I was there when they came out new.
Question, why did you call the “32 Chevy Roadster” a Roadster? Unless that was a “Carson top” it is a coupe. What am I missing? To my understanding a “roadster” is a topless car.

Yep! GoodGuys Del Mar is pretty good too.
-Awesome video!! Thank you Mr. Frankovich for filming this and sharing it!! It’s just awesome!!
Thanks
Amazing show. Thanks for sharing…
You’re welcome
It's really nice to see amazing beautifully finished and painted custom cars instead of Unfinished, shortcut, rust buckets, called "patina". 👍👍👍

Mike, thank you for your tireless detailed dedication in the continuous endeavor to promote hot rodding!

When i was a kid in SF this show was held in Oakland and i went every year.
Went one year back in the nineties when it was still at the Oakland Colosseum.
Thank-you for your filming prowess

My FAVORITE car ?
The one I liked the most - of course.
Thanks for the video ! !
You’re welcome
Thks Mike another great video from u. Good thing you shot Friday inside, I was there Saturday and it was packed inside shoulder to shoulder.
Great times.
I try to avoid going inside the halls on Saturday. It's just too crowed. Friday is for the indoor displays
Great effort Mike. I'm sure you got tired because there is so much to see. Thanks for bringing the GNRS to us.
GNRS needs to be done in multiple days. It's a marathon to film it.
Thank you Mike. You always put out excellent videos. You do a really good job considering how many people are around the cars while you are trying to shooting!
Sometimes I have to wait awhile for a clear shot. I still get someone walking in front of the camera occasionally though.
Yet another great show thanks Mike
This show is always the best.
Hi looking forward to another great video
The shop where I work has two cars there
I’m working 😩
I’ll watch later and timestamp our cars👍😎🇺🇸
Great. I’m sure lots of work went into them.
Great stuff! Thanks for sharing… 👍🏻
Thanks for watching!
Mike, great video, great cars, you live in the paradise. Congrats from Santo André/Brazil !
Thanks
More great coverage of a fantastic show! Love it Mike!
Thank you. The day two video should be up tomorrow
Great footage 👌 I watch all your videos I’m in the UK 👍💪 keep at it 👍
Thanks. I've got plenty of shows to keep me busy in 2024
I'd say my favorite was that 1958 Chevrolet low rider with the wild, extremely complex paint job. Lots of work in that.
Can't even imagine the hours that goes into a paint job like that.
awesome show this year, great coverage. I looked all over for you, but never found you.
It's such a massive show that it would be hard to find one person there. Hopefully I'll run into you at a future show.
Thank you, Mike! good fun.
Thank you too!
Thank you Mr Mike for an awesome video I enjoyed it and I love it ❤
You are very welcome
Wow.

I remember those from magazines back in the day. The Street Machine building brought back some memories.
Such impressive artistry. I’m unable to choose favorites.
So many great cars and definitely something for everyone.
Thank Mike love the show and how you present it great filming
Thank you
thanks mike great coverage
Thanks Mike! Looking forward to the outside on Saturday. Sunday maybe stay home and rest your feet.😉
Just going to relax and listen to the rain.
Enjoyed ❤

Thanks Mike, great video. Can't wait to see some of those in Detroit next month!
Much better to see them in person.
Very cool 😎 enjoy your streams 👍
Thanks
I'm liking the Black Tradition '32 with the red grill!
That was a sweet roadster.
I was fun and humongous great video man I was there Friday and Saturday
I was so tired after filming both days, but it was worth it.
I am proud of you, that you went to GNRS - I couldn't go - many THANKS 😊
My pleasure 😊
Loved the gold candy 60 Ford T-bird and all the Lincoln Zephyrs there. Overall great show.
The gold T-Bird was a highlight. A viewer put together the Zephyr display and he did a fantastic job.
great stuff
Thank you
Like always great video and knowledgeable watching from Australia

that 32 Cheve was a standout on the overkill department of finish.
I like That Black Camaro. Blown big Block. It's my Good Friend from Illinois.
Cool

Not "anxiously awaiting" to see the original Uncertain T, "eagerly awaiting" 🙂
Great to see it returning to the show car circuit
The rad rods by troy car; no paint? And also, were those electric motors on the front hubs?
Yes the cars wow
So much eye candy.
Are you going to Salt Lake City Autorama 2024 on April?
Can't make it since it conflicts with the Del Mar Goodguys show that I film every year.
I’ll often run into other TH-camrs. I don’t really have a favorite. The Lincoln Zephyr display was awesome
I'm obviously a Mustang guy, but that custom, gold colored, square top Thunderbird was pretty sweet.
I honestly though the most impressive, thinking outside the box moment, was the car with all the tools and bolts laying around it. That was a cool idea with the props.

hello frank where is the show in san gabriel i look can not fine that one this month where did you see it
They just posted it the other day on Facebook. I shot it last year as well
Was looking for footage of a black 34 roadster named "Hurt Feelings". Has a tan top I believe
The shop teacher at the local tech school is building a 37 zephr. He was there to see them
There were plenty to reference in that hall. Incredible to see so many in one place.
Again Mike, at 41:55, it is a '631/5 Ford. note the different roof line than the '63s.Ceck the history of these cars and see for yourself. I was there when they came out new.
I think they invited the Bugatti to say "this is what your hot rod is SUPPOSED to look like". 😂
my frieds car was at the show

32 Chevy is abeauty
They're all amazing
Drink if you see a set of Halibrand Indy replicas...JEEZ!
Hoping to see the uncertain t at the rod run

Is there a room with just old drag boats?
That was last year
Question, why did you call the “32 Chevy Roadster” a Roadster? Unless that was a “Carson top” it is a coupe.

To my understanding a “roadster” is a topless car.
I wonder what these cars will look like in 20 years /
