That was the idea behind War of the Worlds: Goliath, an animated movie from 2012. Humanity had reverse-engineered a lot of Martian wreckage, rebuilt from the damage of the first invasion, and organized a global defense force with their own energy weapons and mechs, but that's when the Martians showed up for Round Two with an army of upgraded tripods and flying machines. The first invasion, they hadn't really considered humanity much of a threat, about like rats or roaches infesting the area, but this second wave was geared up specifically to take on mankind directly. That idea is also one of the implications from the end of Command & Conquer 3. The alien Scrin invaded during a futuristic world war, but they had expected the planet to be basically overrun by tiberium, a radioactive but resource-rich substance that was spreading across the planet, by the time they showed up. So, their harvest fleet had a strong security detail just in case the locals still had pockets of resistance, but they weren't expecting an organized military response - let alone _two_ heavily armed war economies. The ending cinematic from the Scrin mini-campaign implies their harvesting operation planned to call in the actual Scrin military for the next game. Sadly, EA did EA things with the series and killed any chances of getting that next installment.
They seem to come in different sizes, too. During the ferry scene, the tripod that emerges from the water and capsizes the ferry seems to be scaled up to a much larger size than the other tripods.
@@AdhamOhm also you look at their heads, the larger ones had 4 eyes, 2 each for each side and 1 big massive eye. They also had a flatter and larger head. The “smaller” ones had a more thinner head and only had 3 eyes.
@@tba113 EA killed C&C when they tried to turn an RTS into a MOBA, however the Tiberium in C&C was suspected to have came from the Scrin themselves since they don't have any problems being around it and can call in either small patches of it or entire meteors of the stuff.
so this bug is actually due to the CTA weapon system and wont allow certain weapon types to shoot at helicopters. but we are currently fixing multiple bugs 1. fixed where all maps will work (few maps would crash) 2. fixing the Ai to shoot at helicopter ( rework of the weapon system) 3. fixing Ai aim to be a little bit better 4. some really cool things were are adding is that the tripod already has the ability to deploy black smoke that kills anyone around it but the AI cant use it. We are now switching it where the Ai can 5. Adding cages and tenticals to it with animations 6. More death animations 7.adjusting sound 8. New variation of textures. and much much more coming. id aspect a new update in a week

TRIPOD STEPS ON HOUSE AND THE HOUSE TAKES NO DAMAGE. POD LEANS TO THE RIGHT AS IF THE ALIENS ARE DRUNK. TANK PASSES RIGHT THHOUGH THE FEET OF THE TRIPOD. THE LAND HAD VERY LITTLE DETAIL. YOU NEED TO TREAT THE TRIPOD FEET AS A WEAPON SO THAT THE TRIPODS DESTROY ANYTHING THEY STEP ON.
i made a simple map with a lined up hill and i putted a butt ton of US military vehicle (Mostly US Marines) on the hill all lined up and they all died by 5 Tripods meanwhile 2 tripods vs a couple of US military vehicle in ur vid those 2 tripod get defeated *what*
becuese of the added gore and and a few other things it will lower the graphics so it can handle more and what it dose actually works really really well
good news we decided to build ASV with the mod and were ganna change the graphics setting back to default CTA but if there backlash about frames we may adjust things again
