Interesting topic. When I was younger the title was the last thing I thought about when trying to write a piece of music. How backwards that seems to me now! I try to have a title in place very early on as I find it helps me stay centered through the process of writing. On a larger scale, I released a concept album early last year entitled "1993". Titling the album as such helped me corral the ideas to be sure they stayed in the lane of the concept. In my opinion titles are important and very necessary!
