It changed my life, and ability to cope. I was 3 years sober last month.

After a year and half battling stage 3 breast cancer and chemo, double mastectomy, radiation and more chemo thats left some permanent disabilities, I feel trapped and buried alive and so ANGRY in this betrayal of a body! Looking into these treatments now too. I gotta do something or I won't make it!

I’m so very sorry❤ it must be very scary ! I do understand the body part of it as I have had some pretty severe injuries leaving me permanently stuffed! You feel you have so much more to give and annoyed at yourself for not being able to cope or find that strength to do what you used to do. You have been through a lot. I’m a nurse and I totally get the trauma your poor body has been through and it takes it toll mentally doesn’t it. Maybe fighting what you can’t change, maybe better directed at trying to get to a place of acceptance? Just some advice and you probably don’t need it, but I struggled and was very angry until I found a place where I was able to just be with what is. I could then start to focus more on the blessings in my life and gratitude for still being here (I was pretty close to not making it) my kids, my dog, the sunshine etc. I felt like I got some control back, and some peace from the constant fight. It takes a lot of soul searching and work and I know it’s hard to find the energy and you will be grieving for the loss of so much, parts of your body, life as you knew it, your ability to do things, I really get it. Recognise the grief and it’s really ok to be angry and to feel so stuck and mad at the world, it is all the stages of grief that you go through and it takes its course, however in time I am sure with support and just focusing on putting one foot in front of the other the best you can and if you take a step back then that’s ok too. I really hope you are doing better. Thinking of you❤
